Scammers, Fraudsers, They take your money, never answer emails, phone lines are a joke. Stay clear from this company unless you have time to burn.

DONT GO NEAR THIS COMPANY WITH A BARGE POLE - After a month waiting on an order they have failed to either send the items I ordered or issue a refund despite stating they have processed refund .. no one answering the phone and emails are a joke. I have reported my case to the police as fraud and trading standards .. having investigated they are deliberately taking online orders with no ability or intention of fulfilling the order. If you have an outstanding order then report to your local police office and trading standards.

25 days and the order has not been despatched.

Exactly the same as the other reviews unfortunately. This seems to be a scam as I've not received my order and had no communication about delivery or the refund I requested. Do not buy anything from here.

Placed an order on 31st October and chased on 10th Nov due to no updates. Given a poor excuse saying that customer orders should be posted by end of the week & guess what, it wasn’t dispatched.

I have asked for a refund but yet to receive.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced!!

I purchased a double hanging egg chair from Batley DIY. The website said free delivery, but after hearing nothing from them I followed up to understand my dispatch date, to be told that I would now have to pay delivery to ensure ‘safe delivery’. When the item finally arrived it was damaged. I took photos and contacted Batley DIY who asked for the photos to be sent. After sending, I heard nothing, emailed numerous times and called - no response - to the extent that I thought they may have gone into administration. After a number of weeks I finally got through for them to tell me it was under review and they would contact me that day. After no response, I followed up again and they outlined that a ‘gesture of goodwill’ would be refunded to me (no ask as to whether I was happy with this), but again - no follow up contact. I have now escalated to my payment provider. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Order not received, no one answers the telephone, emails are unanswered and I am claiming money back from credit card company. This is a scam company and I would not go anywhere near them again. Beware! Do not order goods from them.

Do not use this company. They do not send your goods out and do not return your money when you ask for the order to be cancelled. Usually I am so careful before ordering anything and will not order from a company that does not show an address on their website so thought everything was ok. Only saw the very poor reviews afterwards when I did not receive any confirmation that my order had been despatched. Raised a PayPal dispute in the end and received my money back from them.

Ordered water filters, never received them, they also do not communicate, however they have challenged my claim after I have reported them to the bank.
This is scam company.

I made a purchase through the website and when it hadn't arrived two weeks later I emailed them and,of course, it was "out of stock". I asked for a refund and as other reviewers found I just got the runaround. Thankfully I paid for the item with Paypal who were superb;it took all of a minute to lodge my dispute and they approved my refund two minutes after that. I think I might put in a report about this lot to trading standards next week as they are a bunch of irritating timewasters.

Joke of a company, placed order 11 days ago and still not dispatched. No communication to advise of delay. Have to chase on email only to be given excuses and vauge anticipated delivery dates. Does not answer phones. Avoid and shop elsewhere

I ordered a jam making thermometer. The order took a couple of weeks to arrive, but was well packaged when it did. The thermometer was from a reputable company - Kilner - but not correctly calibrated ; it consistently read 5-8 degrees lower that correct temperature (checked against two other thermometers). The problem may lie with the manufacturer, but trying to contact Batley DIY was extremely difficult. I emailed them and received a reply saying they would be in contact, they never were. I called the number of the email but despite very long waits - and an annoying repeat message informing me about how important my call was (it clearly was not!) I have never got through to anyone. Under UK consumer legislation they are required to issue a full refund if contacted within 30 days of purchase, which I have pointed out in a further email to them, but I am doubtful that this will happen.

Ordered over a week ago. No acknowledgment of order, no email about processing or dispatch. Call won't connect.

Raised claim through paypal - seller did not respond so PayPal are arranging a refund. Total scam.

If I could leave a lower review I would. Ordered items, never arrived. Rang them on hold for 30mins before answering told me it would arrive the following Thursday. Items never arrived. Emailed and rang with no reply. Contacted PayPal for a refund. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I think this is a scam company- do not use!
I returned a tap and never received the refund. I've emailed numerous times, and called about ten times. Sometimes a girls answers and says she'll sort it out and then I never hear anything, other times the phone rings out and no answers. The phone can be ringing for over an hour.

Placed an order that arrived on 27 September 2025 for two moisture traps. They arrived broken, emailed Batley DIY along with photos of the broken items. No reply so I rang them to be told they where checking with there suppliers. Still awaiting for them to get back to me. They never answer the phone and when eventually they do I get told someone will call me back. Still waiting for a call back and it’s now 31 October 2025.
STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

Bought an item , old model of item turned up , after many calls they arranged collection but still waiting a refund , they now trying to say item was damaged so going to see them in court . Absolute scumbags , never ever buy from this fool . If lying was a profession he would be a millionaire

The Police should be called and bang up all these crooks as this company is a SCAM and full of thieves
