Massive Disappointment
Took my electric bike in on a Monday morning after booking a drop off service online. Was really hoping I had found a miracle shop that dealt with Shimano batteries and was so easy for me to get to. Such a disappointment!!! Bike was not even looked at for almost a whole week and no one even called me to keep me updated. I had to keep calling everyday and in the end had to pick up my bike unserviced after wasting a whole week without any apology and just the explanation that they were short on a mechanic!!! Cannot recommend and will not return!!

Hi Clara,
I have just spoken to my workshop team about your case. From what was made clear to me, we had advised you at drop off about our current lead time and that the fastest course of action would be to go back to the original retailer. We are a Shimano service centre but as the repair in question is an out of warranty job it would have taken up to a few weeks to get the necessary parts. I completely understand that after a week more progress should have been made on your bike and can only apologise that at least a software/firmware update was not performed. We did have a mechanic off that week, which in our case halves our workforce available for repairs. If you do need any work doing on the bike, we would be more than happy to make amends.

Bike build on the same day - Thanks for the help
Thanks to the guys at Balfe's who helped me put a bike together at lightning speed to have it ready to gift for my son's birthday. They were super helpful, efficient and affordable.

Best bike shop in London?
Recently purchased a bike via the cycle2work scheme. Balfe’s fulham made the process really easy. After discussing some options, a test ride was arranged which was very useful when deciding on which model to go for. Once decided, the bike was built to order and customised with additional extras free of charge.
Cormac was very helpful throughout the process and I would highly recommend Balfes Fulham to anyone looking for a new bike.

4-5 day turnaround for bike service - what a joke!
I booked my bike in for a routine service, dropping it off in-store in the appointed time slot. Two days later they hadn't even looked at the bike and it turns out that they don't start work on your bike until 3 or 4 days after they receive it. If you need your bike for travel during that time then tough! I took my bike away again unserviced. Very disappointed indeed and I will not waste my time with these people again.

Hi Rachel,
I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the timeframe for your repair. Having spoken to my team I can see you dropped the bike off on Monday where we let you know it would be a 3-4 day turnaround. We then sent you a quote and spoke to you on Tuesday and had the bike lined up to be done for Wednesday morning. As we run a drop off service a 3 day turnaround is often expected especially for an Electric folding bike general service.
We do understand that you need the bike for travel and can only sympathise, being without your bike is difficult. Hopefully you get your bike sorted and if you need we are always happy to get your bike serviced.
