Autosystem/ Target Rent Rome Fiumicino location did not honor a month of May pre approved and prepaid rental reservation of 4 weeks and tried to upsell of 1K more to a higher category vehicle, alleging that we were an hour late from our reservation and so it didn’t need to be honored, wasting hours of our time and leaving us with having to make other travel arrangements after a long international flight. Thanks auto system/ target rent for the almost “Italian job” upon arrival

The worse rental company we ever encountered!
They have no kiosk at the airpot. We waited no less than 30 minutes for the shuttle service in the blazing sun. When finally arriving to the kiosk, located 20 minutes away from the airport, we had to stand in line for another 30 minutes. And the cherry on the top - When finally getting to speak to a human representative we were told we are too late for our car pick up (apparently they limit the pick up to 59 minutes after the hour one stated through the broker. But of course they don't answer the phone when you call them to say you are late because of their own shuttle service being late!) and therefore were forced to pay €290 in addition to the original sum we paid for the car rental.

Total scam!

We arrived at the pick-up location (quite far from the airport, however shuttle worked fine). We had rented (and paid for) a Golf - or similar. We got a Hundai i10, which was significantly smaller than a Golf. I had to pay for an ugrade. I paid 396,99€ extra and we got a Renault Megane which was 8-10 years old and completely destroyed. It had scratches all over and was full of dents. It was so worn out that the interior had started falling apart. However, the car could drive. The company also charged us 57€ to cross a boarder, which we had to to get to our destination.
We were not very satisfied with the company, but we got a car and we could drive off. However the biggest bill came after we had returned the car and signed off that everything was ok. I checked my account and I could see that the amount charged to my credit card, was significantly higher than the the amount in the contract. When I contacted the company to get an explanation, I simply got a notification that the FINAL FINAL invoice had some extra cost:
Costi accessori extra → Additional extra charges: €332.20 (VAT 22%)
Tutela Legale E Omicidio Stradale → Legal Protection and Road Homicide Coverage: €10.40 (VAT 22%)
Noleggio GG Extra - Giorni Voucher: 12 → Additional Rental Days - Voucher Days: 12: €92.40 (VAT 22%)
Total of these items: €435.00.
I'm not sure how they are allowed to do this? However I'm not sure either how I will ever be able to redeem the cost I have wrongfully paid.

Any suggestions are welcome, and in the meantime, please stay away from this company @autosystempa and @targetrent

I rent cars frequently, around 10 times a year, and this was by far the worst experience I've ever had.
I arrived about two hours later than scheduled, but it was completely beyond my control. My flight was delayed because there was a fire near Ibiza Airport. I also informed the rental company about my delay approximately four hours in advance.
Despite this, the staff were not helpful at all. In particular, an employee named Giulian seemed completely uninterested in helping me. Instead, I got the impression that his main concern was finding a way to charge me even more money.
I had already paid for the rental in advance, but when I arrived, I was told I had to pay an additional €195 to collect the car. In my experience, when a delay is caused by the airline and the customer notifies the rental company in advance, other companies usually try to accommodate the situation instead of charging such a high extra fee.
To make matters worse, the car I received—a white Alfa Romeo Stelvio—was in terrible condition. It was covered in scratches and dents. I honestly couldn't find a single body panel that wasn't damaged. It looked like a car that was ready for the scrapyard, certainly not a vehicle I would expect after paying so much.
Between the unexpected extra charge and the poor condition of the car, I left extremely disappointed with the service I received.
I will never rent from AutoSistem Car Rent or Target Rent again, and I cannot recommend them. As someone who rents around 10 cars every year, I expected much better customer service and far more professionalism.

Destroyed vacation!
When my wife two kids and me should pick up our rental car in Milano, they would not accept my fine working card because of company policy. Which have never been a problem before!
So their solution was that i could either rent another car for 1000euro more or i could buy a very expensive insurance, that costs more then renting the car itself. The personal was friendly, but not willing to find a solution. I offered to withdraw cash, make bank transactions, use my Mastercard in Apple wallet or even have another person in the renting papers with another type of card. But they could find a company policy to reject all proposals.
So what should have been a nice vacation, ended as a nightmare because we were ripped off from Autosystem

Ho noleggiato dal 23/07/2026 al 29/07/2026 presso l' Aeroporto di Verona una Ford Focus SW con cambio automatico ma non essendo disponibile mi hanno fornito una MÉGANE SPORTER BLUE DCI 115 CV EDC EQUILIBRE. Devo dire che l' autovettura é stata davvero all' altezza delle aspettative. Comoda per 5 passeggeri e relativi bagagli anche oversize. Il Personale é stato davvero molto gentile e professionale.Esprimo il mio piu' vivo compiacimento a tutta l' Equipe. Grazie e a Presto!

DO NOT USE!! I hire cars all over the world. We took before and after videos of the vehicle and still the lady who was extremely rude has attempted FRAUD suggesting we have caused damage and refusing our before video which proved that the damage wasn't us. If you do hire a car from this terrible company, make sure you video everything (underside of the vehicle) and appeal their fraud attempt heavily!

Absolutely unacceptable experience.
We had a fully prepaid reservation and arrived at Catania Airport to collect our car. We presented a valid physical credit card for the security deposit, exactly as required. The card is fully functional – we even withdrew cash from an ATM just before returning to your desk.
However, your terminal was unable to process the card. Instead of offering any alternative solution or trying another terminal, your staff simply refused to hand over the vehicle. They also refused to provide any written confirmation explaining why the car was denied or why a refund was being refused.
As a result, we were left stranded at the airport and forced to rent a car from another company at the last minute for three times the price, just to continue our holiday.
We paid for a service that was never provided. We will be seeking a full refund and will pursue all available legal and consumer protection channels, including a chargeback through our bank if necessary.
We cannot recommend this company to anyone. If you value reliability, transparency and customer service, choose another rental company.

Really bad experience, just horrible. We ended up waiting in the heat for 2 hours and didnt get the car we originally ordered. They were so unhelpful and just unprofessional and uncaring. Said if we were mad at them for not making it work we could go order a car somewhere else like we didnt just pay well over 1000€ for the car we were waiting for.

Je mets 1 étoile parce qu on ne peut pas mettre moins. Le personnel est très désagréable. Il ne faut pas prendre cette compagnie. Il est indiqué à la location un prix bas mais dans tous les cas ils font payer le double. Arnaque assurée …

Une compagnie à bannir!!! À notre arrivée on nous annonce que le prix de la location de notre voiture est doublée..!! Et que il est impossible de louer la voiture car n’avons une carte crédit … Et nous étions plusieurs des français dans ce cas.. au bout de 2h on accepte de payer.. on leur montre le trustpilot avis.. se mettent dans tous leurs états…et refusent de nous donner une voiture !! On retéléphone à Booking.com en leur expliquant la situation… ils acceptent de nous rembourser !!
Le personnel est mal honnête désagréable et sont des voleurs… heureusement en 5mn de temps on a retrouvé un véhicule pour nos vacances !!

Dal 13 al 26 giugno 2026 ho prenotato a noleggio una piccola auto a Milano linate. Non essendo disponibile mi hanno consegnato un' auto più grande, nuovissima, pulitissima con una gentilezza e efficienza e rapidità straordinari sia da parte della ragazza che del ragazzo al front office.Grazie, ritornerò da voi anche la prossima volta.

Prenotazione effettuata on line con tutte le coperture del caso. Tramite l’assistenza telefonica era stato spiegato che sulla carta di credito del conducente non ci sarebbe stata la capienza e sarebbe stata utilizzata una seconda carta di credito. L’intestatario della seconda carta di credito in realtà non è mai stato inserito come secondo conducente ed al nostro arrivo al ritiro dell’auto ci hanno chiesto 251 euro in più. Zero elasticità e nessuna intenzione ad attivarsi per venirci incontro o trovare soluzioni alternative. Ci hanno praticamente lasciato a piedi con un bambino di 8 anni. Vergognosi

La atención al cliente es pésima.
Al llegar, por no tener tarjeta de crédito nos cobraron 390€ más para poder alquilar el coche. Nos lo explicaron fatal.
Al dejar el coche había un señor muy mal educado (calvo con gafas) que se comportó muy mal con nosotros.
NO ALQUILEIS UN COCHE EN BÉRGAMO CON ESTA EMPRESA (cerca del aeropuerto)

Macchina noleggiata per due giorni a un prezzo molto competitivo. Macchina nuovissima e davvero molto pulita. Processo veloce e senza problemi.
Mi sono sembrati una compagnia molto seria
