Hassle to close account
I called to ask that my IRA accounts be closed and cash sent to me. I very explicitly requested that income tax of 10% be paid to the IRS on my behalf before sending the remainder in the traditional IRA account. This was not done, so I needed to find the estimated 2022 tax form, complete it, and send a check to the IRS.

My only complaint is that I receive my bill at almost the exact time it is due, leaving me just a few days to turn around and get it paid. Would it be so hard to mail that out a few weeks earlier?

When I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 it was a tough time to say the least. A lot of thoughts go through your mind. Not the least of which is the stress of the financial situation that was to come. My wife and I have a large family of 6 kids and I am the only income source. My Assurity policy allowed us to breath a HUGE sigh of relief once we found out that I was completely covered. They never missed a beat. I thought it was gonna be hard to file a claim and start getting disbursements. Not at all! It was very easy and never had a problem or delay. Assurity was a life saver for us and I will always be grateful!!

Overall very happy. Have had no issues since signing up many years ago. Not a 5 star because I have no heard anything from the company since signing up. Which is strange to me.
