Apple Pay was charged an unauthorized amount of $8.50 by MTA (subway). When I had swiped the card, the gate screen showed that the payment did not go through. I swiped it the 2nd time (a fair rate of $2.90), and it let me through the gate. Then I looked on my phone, it showed I was charged 8.50$ ( there is no such fair and 2.90$) I disputed 8.50$. ApplCard DID NOT REMOVE the unauthorized charge. This action from ApplePay do not protect me from unauthorized charges with the small amount; they will not protect me from much larger unauthorized charges in the future. I closed all accounts with ApplPay.

My recent experience with Apple Pay and Apple Support was very frustrating.
A subscription renewed without the reminder the app promised, and I requested a refund on the same day. Apple automatically rejected it, then kept telling me the app developer refused the refund. When I contacted the developer, they confirmed in writing that they did NOT refuse anything and that Apple is the only one responsible.

Instead of helping, Apple refused to provide any written clarification and pushed me to “contact the bank.” This is not the level of transparency or customer protection I expect from a company like Apple.

Awful service and product.
Their support team is completely unprepared to handle even basic issues. I’ve spent hours on the phone with agents who are not qualified to resolve problems, and supervisors who offer no solutions whatsoever.

They don’t provide case numbers to track your issue, and they refuse to give last names or any form of identification—so every time you call back, you have to start from zero. There’s no sense of accountability, no follow-up, and no professionalism.

Apple does not back their virtual card purchases. Turned out purchase was from a bogus company and apple said sorry no refund the purchase is not refundable.
So much for secure purchases!!!

Apple Pay is not friendly to people with intellectual disabilities. They locked my daughter’s account and it was impossible to restart. You call these people and they expect a person who has this type of disability to talk to them because of their of their age. Allow me as a father to communicate. Sad. Now my daughter‘s account is blocked and no matter what I do I cannot get any change. What a horrible service.

I've paid for apps they take my money then tell me they don't know where it went even with the receipt they don't try to refund money or anything this has happen more than once so I try to keep them blocked

I was so upset yesterday with APPLEPAY. Why? for many times they were charging me the declined transactions. Thats also the reason why i changed my appleid several times due to their tactics.. So yesterday i made 2 clear transactions for STARMAKER as I recharge for my acct there. but i made 3 transactions all in all. the first was amounting to
Php 1230.00, then i made the second txn worth Php 499.00 but it was "declined", after a while i made a 3rd txn which was worth Php 599.00. But when i received their email they charged me of those 3 transactions. WTF is that tactics. even the txn was declined they will still push it thru for you to pay it. cyber criminal right?i check my recharged history in STARMAKER and its just2 recharged made it thru. I know there is a conivance with starmaker as this apps also never reply on me regarding it. and as soon as i made a refund to applepay then this starmaker apps will put a NEGATIVE amount of gold coins in my balance so that when i recharge in the future it will deduct it to me so its useless to refund cuz they will take it back.. since i experienced it before in APPLEPAY i made sure all the necessary pages got Screenshot. They are making money out of these declined txns u made. then they will give problem to ur apple id saying that you have pending txn needs to be paid. They are one of the worst and literally greedy cyber scammer. I believe this 2 entity have this tactics to steal money from user of their services. i will make also review regarding starmaker as they also making some scam tactics that must be known by the whole world how worse this application is, But for now its the applepay that is not just scammer but extremely thievery. Imagine I had previous txns had been declined due to insufficient funds but they all charged it from me. so if i didnt pay it i cant open my apple id . it was declined cuz no more funds in my card and yet apple pay still charge it to me.. then i wint put funds in it so i will not pay any txns declined cux they will auto debit the funds . reason why i made several times creating new apple id just cuz of this tactic reasons of them.i have all solid proof SCREENSHOTS of declined txns and recharge history on starmaker. so they can not just flag my review and then again i am ready to discuss it with them in any social media like X.com

If I could do no stars I would have. This company is a scam. They hire scammers to call your phone to scam you out of $500 and then when you need their help, they are nowhere to be found. I have heard so many scam stories about Apple Pay yet. Nothing is done about that. I don’t understand why nobody steps in and close the shit hole down. I can’t tell you how many people have been scammed. I’m 66 years old. I was trying to set up an Apple Pay account Received a text message from someone from Apple Pay. Apparently it was a fraudster. How did he get my phone number? How did he know to text me? He got me for $500 Apple Pay did nothing to protect me and nothing to help me after the fraud and to make matters worse. The bank wouldn’t help me either because of Apple Pay and then the bank decided to freeze my account because of the fraud and yet nothing from Apple Pay for help just sorry sorry sorry well guess what Apple Pay you are sorry maybe you should read your reviews and see your real truth. Apple Pay is making money together with Scammers that offer BS Apps that charge you the minute you download them. When you realize it’s all BS you request a refund and immediately delete the app. What does Apple do? Reject the claim. Apple with Apple Pay is a scammer, pay attention.

If I could, I would give it a zero. I was scammed out of money and realized after I paid the person that I thought I was talking to… A friend… That his account had been hacked and someone just stole $1500 of my money. Apple will not stand behind it and basically accusing me of authorizing something knowingly and not looking at the full picture with all the proof That I was scammed. All proof is in writing with phone numbers of the Thief and they still are refusing to work with me after telling me that everything would be OK. Be very cautious of these people ..they don’t stand behind their word. They make you feel guilty when you had nothing to do with it and you were the victim. Absolutely disgusted.

I will never use Apple Pay or buy anything from Apple. I was scammed into taking a 7 day free trial on an app. They automatically charged me €34.99. I reported it immediately, contacted the customer support and requested a refund. This was done immediately. The company had asked me to go to Apple support and explain, since they couldn’t refund Apple Pay.
I suggest that you use other banking services. At least with them, you will get your hard earned money back.

The fact that a cancelled auto-pay subscription can take a few days to get cancelled and refunded because Apple Pay gatekeeps the whole refund process, is wild. Apple Pay doesn’t make anything easier except the actual pay processing.

they didn't find anything about the sender or the recipient. they are stealing money. just like the apple store online app. last i checked how much was taken from me from $1.00 to $5 approximately $150.00 if i hadn't checked and made a dispute with my bank the money would have stayed in the apple store. and there are billions of us people, now count how much apple is stealing.???

I order my grand child a game to play. I have not give her the iPad yet apple card me 7 times $89,$59,ect. I had to order a new card. I know the next time to put the $19.99 on PayPal and buy a game

I have made the mistake of purchasing flights on ApplePay. Unfortunately Air Traffic Control led to two flight cancellations. Money was refunded to my card linked to ApplePay by both airlines but never made it to my bank. The bank cannot see the payment pending. Absolute scam, a disgrace, hang your heads in shame you are thieves. And they are getting away with this as you cannot ring or contact them. Do not use ApplePay whatever you do. They don’t even monitor this site they clearly do not give a damn!

My daughter wanted £4.99 for add on in her game , I got charged 4 times without consent and she didn't get anything extra anyways .I had to remove my card from her phone, which is unfortunate as I like her to have an option to money (credit ) if ever needs any for emergencies etc.

I’m extremely disappointed with how Apple Card has handled my case. This entire experience feels like a deliberate and unethical way to push customers into incurring interest, without giving them a fair chance to avoid it.

I was charged a total of $159.26, $74.84, and $27.86 in interest—not because I ignored my payments, but because Apple failed to notify me in time about a minor underpayment or any interest accruing. The app showed no alerts, no emails were sent, and support failed to mention it when I reached out.

The fact that Apple does not notify customers when interest is being added daily is absurd. It feels like a trap: you quietly let interest build up, and by the time the customer finds out, it’s too late to do anything. This lack of transparency is not just a bad user experience—it’s a breach of trust.

Even worse, I received conflicting explanations from your support team. One assistant said the charge was from January, another said it was from March. If your own team can’t get the story straight, how is a customer supposed to understand what’s going on?

I acted immediately and in good faith as soon as I was made aware of an issue. I paid the balance, reactivated AutoPay, and accepted a $25 waiver thinking the matter was resolved—only to be hit with more unexplained charges later.

This is not how a company that claims to care about its customers should operate. It feels like a scam disguised as policy, and I can no longer recommend Apple Card to anyone. You’ve lost my trust.
