Avoid this company – months of delays, no delivery, no refund

I strongly advise being very careful with this company.

We ordered a bed in October from Winksleep. Since then, we received multiple emails (at least 5–7) confirming delivery on specific dates, but no delivery ever took place.

Initially, Winksleep did not respond to our emails at all. Only later did we start receiving replies from Babyfair, who appear to be connected to Winksleep and handling the same order. This lack of clarity about who is actually responsible only added to the confusion and delays.

The items that were delivered were incorrect and mismatched, and the situation has dragged on for months. Communication has been extremely poor, with repeated promises of calls, updates, and deliveries that never happened.

At one point, even the delivery service contacted us asking whether we had spoken to the supplier and when the bed would be delivered — while the company itself remained silent.

When we requested a refund, we were told it would only be processed if we closed a bank chargeback first, despite the issue being unresolved. We are still left with an incorrect bed taking up space in our small flat, causing significant inconvenience.

Overall, the lack of reliability, accountability, and customer care has been unacceptable.
Based on our experience, I would not recommend dealing with this company.

I am flabbergasted by this company

I am flabbergasted by this company's diabolical service and sadly have little else but to consider them the kind of company that make multiple mistakes (mistakes do happen, multiple mistakes is generally incompetence) and then try to cover them up rather than fix them and keep your money.
There have been so many emails back and forth that I thought it easier to just summarise with the below timeline. My advice to you is that ordering from them is taking a huge chance that you will not receive a brand new bed and if you do not they will try and cover up their errors and pretend nothing had happened.

- Our order was placed on 31 October.
- After enquiring when the bed would arrive we were advised it would arrive by 20 November
- The delivery did not arrive until 22 November. Upon delivery it became clear we had been sent the wrong bed and they were notified of this the same day as soon as the delivery was received.
- On 24 November they replied and asked for pictures of the incorrect delivery, these were sent the same day.
- On 25 November they asked if we wanted to keep the bed and refund the difference.
- On 26 November we declined this and requested the bed we paid for to be delivered. They said they had submitted an exchange the same day and we received an email from couriers to say the correct bed would be delivered on 06 December.
- On 06 December the exchanged bed was delivered and incorrect bed collected. We immediately noticed the new bed delivered was the correct bed we ordered but was damaged despite still being inside the protective plastic. A large punctured hole one one side of the bed and dirty liquid damage to the other side of the bed. We immediately contacted them and sent pictures of the damage.
- On 08 December they apologised again and asked if there was any visible damage to the packaging despite clear pictures showing the damage inside the the plastic and a clear description of the damage already being sent to them on the 06 December ,I replied explaining again the condition of the plastic and the damage and again attaching the pictures . AGAIN the same day, 08 December they asked once again for me to confirm the condition of the packaging on delivery, I again attached pictures and explained the damage and condition of the plastic growing confused by repeatedly having to answer the same questions and explaining the condition of the delivery.
- I emailed on the 10 December asking when our damaged bed would be exchanged. The same day they replied to say the replacement would be exchanged on 16 December.
- On 15 December I emailed to say i had not received a delivery slot from the couriers for the new exchange as I had for the previous deliveries.
- On 16 December (Supposed day for the new exchange to take place) they said they would chase this up with the dispatch team and come back to me.
- On 19 December I emailed to point out I had not heard back from them and was considering our options for the continued losses and damage we have incurred as a result of the company's failures but more importantly wanting to know when we are going to receive the exchanged bed we paid for that they had said they had arranged to be exchanged. On the same day, extraordinarily they replied saying they had looked into the matter and that the exchange had taken place on 06 December (The original exchange date when the damaged bed was delivered), basically pretending they had no knowledge of the emails we had exchanged following that damaged delivery on 06 December and the fact they had informed me the bed was due for exchange on the 16 December.

The worst part about this is we had arranged our new flat move in date around our bed being delivered on 20 November and have been sleeping on the floor ever since with an entire damaged bed sitting in our hallway.

Do not order from this company under…

Do not order from this company under ANY circumstances. They mislead you and then say you cannot claim a refund even though the beds are awful quality and nothing like the picture as they are ‘bespoke.’ We have had an ongoing dispute for 8 weeks they’ve given us the wrong parts twice so now we don’t have a bed for Christmas for guests. They sent completely the wrong beds and missing parts. All the stitching is poorly made and they smell musty and the packing was all dirty and muddy.

We still don’t have a bed after nearly 3 months. They will scam you!!!! You can buy them for half the price from big retailers who won’t scam you and you sort a refund with/ parts easily. This company has caused me so much stress it’s actually unbelievable.

Make sure you read all the terms and conditions, including the delivery & return policy before making a purchase.

The delivery service was terrible. If you live in a flat they deliver your bed to your intercom/main door. Not your flat. This is hell if you live alone.
In my experience they said they would deliver at 11am-12pm, however they arrived at 7pm.

The bed itself has scuffs all over it but because I didn’t report it within 48 hours they won’t do anything about it.

All in all the bed is decent but customer service is terrible.

the 4ft hybrid memory foam spring…

the 4ft hybrid memory foam spring mattress is absolute rubbish, it creaks, is hard but sinks at the side, would not recomend, cannot send back as unable to get back in original packaging obviously as comes suction packed and cannot afford the return postage, do not buy. I have contacted wink sleep who reqested images of mattress, i sent 11 images, videos and now they are saying it is a floorbaoard creaking, insisting i have to send back in original packaging which is impossible as vacuum packed and rolled, i am absolutly furious with the response, rubbish, still ongoing dispute.

What a stressful and disappointing…
What a stressful and disappointing experience I have had with Winksleep.

My partner and I moved into a new apartment and arranged our move for the day after our bed was meant to be delivered. When delivery day arrived, we received the completely wrong bed frame. We had purchased the Luna Divan Ottoman bed frame, yet we were sent the Dusk & Dawn Palatial Bed Frame instead.

We contacted the company immediately to inform them of the mistake, as we had no intention of keeping the incorrect product. They even asked if we wanted to keep it and receive a partial refund, which we refused as it was not the material or bed we wanted.

Since then, we have kept the incorrect frame to the side, and my partner and I have been sleeping on our mattress on the floor.

A second delivery was then arranged only for that order to arrive damaged, with a large hole on one side of the panels and stains on the other. We initially considered keeping it just to avoid further delays, but the damage faces outward and cannot be hidden. So once again, the item is unacceptable.

We contacted Winksleep again, as it is extremely frustrating and unreasonable to receive incorrect or damaged goods twice, while we continue to sleep on the floor for 16 days with no resolution.

Unfortunately, the person assisting us (N) has been completely unhelpful. She takes two days to respond only to ask for information and photos we have already provided, repeatedly asking the same questions and doing nothing to actually solve the issue.

I chose this company believing they were professional and reliable, but it is clear they do not care about their customers at all.

I purchased one Inspire Ottoman bed from Winksleep and also purchased two ottoman beds from two different companies (baring in mind the two other ottoman beds were half the price of the Inspire and our children and guests have had no issue) we have even slept in other beds to test the quality and the beds are built to such high quality. Since we have had the bed since July there has been a constant knocking against the gas lift bracket that’s attached to the bed, when moving in your sleep. I have contacted Winksleep as mine and my partners sleep has been disrupted and as agreed by a colleague at Winksleep that a quality nights sleep is important. In the meantime they have sent out a replacement gas lift part which to no surprise has had the same issue. Winksleep have even admitted to fault but still months later are asking for video evidence of the knocking, I have of course complied as all I want is the issue to be resolved. We are getting no where and no improvements have been made. I just want what I ordered a fully functioning bed, without faulty parts that’s distributing my nights sleep due to poor quality materials.

Would not recommend or use this company…

Would not recommend or use this company again. I ordered a bed which arrived larger than expected. The measurements were incorrect (which was also confirmed by the company). It has taken nearly 10 days to get to the bottom of it. The company then offered me an exchange for another bed. The bed I previously ordered was £100 dearer than the second bed I had chosen. I was then told via email that I would not receive a refund for the difference. Even though this was *their* error. I have been back and forth over email and it's been a complete nightmare. I am still trying to get to the bottom of it. Take your money and go somewhere else!

Issues encountered but were addressed by customer service

Upon delivery of the bed, it was clearly well packaged and it took us a while to remove everything to start putting the bed together, which made me feel hopeful! Unfortunately, the bed was faulty. Due to returns not being applicable with their beds, a partial refund was offered (as we kept the headboard) and the rest of the bed was reordered and sent out. There were a few issues with redelivery and collection of our faulty bed but the customer service team did reach out and it has all been resolved. The new bed has no issues with it at all, which I'm happy about. I'm grateful the customer service team acknowledged the issues, apologised and an agreed resolution was reached.

Absolutely shocking experience

Absolutely shocking experience
My bed was left outside a completely different building on the main road
The driver was disgustingly rude and ignored our calls and texts when asking where my bed was located.
The bed I ordered off the website was not the bed I received and I was later told they have changed the design and images online are only for show basically.

The gaslift on the bed doesn’t work as the holes provide were not aligned.

I’ve not been able to use my bed functionally for 2 weeks.
I’ve recently had an op which has now caused a huge inconvenience considering I’m bed bound.

I will never ever use wink sleep again
