When i inherited my dad's home i didn't have the timeor the money to mess about selling it privately so I googled the fastest way to sell a house and webuyanyhome.com was the first i came too, and Greg called me pretty quickly and from day one until the last day was nothing but upfront, plain speaking and friendly tbf the whole team was. Communication was on the whole good but not so great from their recommended solicitor. Prices was quick and at 80% of current market value and the predicted (and frustrating, because the reasons were not legitimate in my mind, it was a negotiation tool only) further offer drop on the proposed day of Completion.

I had the difficulty task of selling my mum's flat when she moved into a care home. Mum had let her lease lapse and only twenty years were remaining. We all thought the flat was unsellable. WBAH were great from the first phone call and made the whole experience stress free.

The process was mostly smooth with a minor bump which was dealt with by Tom quickly and professionally.

Of course this is a quick sale no fee process and anyone wishing to take advantage of that should understand that you will not receive what you believe to be the market price. You are selling to a business who need to make a profit not a private individual.

In my case the final offer was quite a bit lower than the initial valuation. However, the property was not in great condition internally and there were other issues that had to be considered.

Overall I was comfortable with my decision to go ahead with the sale and the money was in my bank account the next day.

The worst experience of selling a home. Constantly lied too, changed the price numerous times. Sent me the survey with ridiculous repair prices to make me take a lower offer. I would not recommend.

I was skeptical at first after reading the reviews but continued anyway.

I excepted the under market valuation offer at the time it was presented to me then as per all other reviews they tried to low ball me a further £20,000 closer to completion. There was no structural damage, land slides, or any other issues unknown from the original under market valuation offer I agreed to they just decided it wasn’t worth what the original offer was.

Polite to talk to can’t fault the staff but an abit of con none the less.

The property was valued at £120,000 but advised to be put up for action at £100,000 with a starting bid of &90,000. As I explained at no point was the property ever valued at £80,000 so an offer £60,000 was laughable.

I was dealing with Greg from the company, very quick, honest and straight forward with everything.
Unfortunately my situation changed and I couldn't proceed as hoped, Greg sorted out everything their end to cancel everything quickly and efficiently.
I'd recommend him highly and I would hesitate to use him in the future.

Paid close attention, responded to a bespoke request quickly, kept in touch, was clear about the process.

🚨 PLEASE READ – AVOID THIS COMPANY & SAVE YOUR TIME

I am writing this review to warn others and to share my full experience, which was extremely frustrating and misleading from start to finish.

I was contacted initially by a lady, who offered £112,000 for my property. During this call, lady repeatedly criticised other cash-buying companies, saying they make attractive offers and then deliberately reduce the price later. She specifically claimed that this company was different and more trustworthy.

Emily clearly told me that once I accepted the offer, they would send someone to view the property within 24–48 hours to finalise everything quickly.

After I accepted the offer, I then received a call from another lady who told me something completely different. She said they had already reviewed the property photos online, no visit or inspection was required, and that £112,000 was the final offer. I confirmed with her that we were both happy and proceeding.

At this point, I believed everything was agreed.

The situation then took a very bad turn when my case was passed to manager. Suddenly, I was told the property did need to be evaluated after all, directly contradicting what Aleksandra had told me. When I challenged this, manager dismissed what I said and implied that I was not telling the truth.

During our phone conversation, his tone became aggressive, he raised his voice, and the call felt completely unprofessional. Instead of resolving the issue calmly, he stated he would “listen to previous phone calls” and became confrontational rather than helpful.

Despite this, I cooperated and asked them to send the evaluation team quickly so I could receive a final decision. I was then repeatedly told “tomorrow morning” — which never happened. Days passed, with excuses blaming third parties and further delays.

While all this was happening, I was also pressured to pay upfront for a management pack (£250–£300) before any final valuation or confirmation of the offer. I questioned why I should pay for documents when the price was still uncertain, especially after being told earlier that no inspection was needed. This felt very dishonest.

After weeks of waiting, broken promises, and wasted time, I was finally told that the “final offer” was £80,000 — a massive reduction from the originally agreed £112,000.

At that point, everything became clear.

This experience matches exactly what many other reviewers describe:

Conflicting information from different staff

Delays and excuses

Pressure to pay fees before certainty

Significant last-minute price reductions

I genuinely feel that this company assumes sellers are not paying attention, but people are not stupid — these tactics are obvious.

I would also strongly question whether this manager should be in a customer-facing role. His behaviour was rude, impatient, and unprofessional, and it escalated a situation that could have been handled calmly.

I fully expect a generic apology response to this review, as seen on many others. Please don’t be misled by that. Read other recent reviews and decide for yourself if you want to spend 2–3 weeks of your life only to end up in the same position.

My advice: avoid this company and save yourself the stress.

Avoid this company! I was upfront about my flat having 79 years left on the lease, and they offered £98,000, confirming in writing the only price reductions would be for serious disrepair or structural issues-none applied. Yet, they claimed they “weren’t aware” of the lease length, and then slashed the price by £25,000 at the last minute, even though a lease extension would have cost £10,000. Their excuses about needing a cash buyer were false, and this caused me to lose my onward purchase. This company clearly values profit over honesty—don’t trust them. Alongside this, don’t listen to the completion date they give you when luring you in, it’s all deceit.

My experience is that everyone I have spoken to within webuyanyhome.com has been very helpful and polite.
