Very happy with Emergency Assist breakdown.
I had a van break down today on M1 and the break down truck came so fast to recover us the operater over the phone was very kind and helpfull.

Josh was very polite and helpful.

Very quick recovery of my car. The young recovery man was lovely. He soon had my car on the lorry.
Very happy with my experience with this company.

I broke down on the motorway this morning, which is always a far from ideal situation. The insurance provider gave me an unrealistic ETA, which did leave me wondering for a couple of hours whether recovery was arranged. I suspect this was a fault of the insurer and therefore I have not reflected this in the review score. Once I phoned up to check, I was given an updated ETA. The driver arrived before the ETA limit which is always greay, he was polite and professional and took me to my requested garage with no issues. The good service given was appreciated given the unfortunate morning I had.

My car stopped working and it had transpired the battery fitted with the car 12 years ago was out of juice. Your mechanic came and jump started it for me and within 15 minutes after he arrived I was back on the road. Excellent response times and well within the 1.5-2hours quoted. Would recommend!

Fantastic service, the breakdown guy arrived earlier than the eta and had my motorhome fixed within about 20 minutes, very impressed especially as my last breakdown with the rac took 4 days

My wife and I were on a motorbike enjoying the day. Along came an idiot, and ran into the back of us, whilst we were at a standstill at a roundabout waiting for it to be safe from the right to proceed, the prat said “ I couldn’t help”, what a d*ck. anyway taken to hospital with injuries my wife and I. Next day the recovery unit went to the location of the accident, to recover the bike from a semi secure location, the young man contacted me stating that he was finding it hard to locate it, but would keep looking, and knocking on some doors, above and beyond, he found out that some prat, had tried to steal it, would you believe it. He was informed the bike was taken a little further down to the road to a more safer location, he tracked it down, found the bike and safely recovered it. The young man contacted me again to inform that he the bike. Very polite, professional young man, went above and beyond what he needed to do, many thanks for his good caring attitude. So if you want that extra touch, use this recovery company, a great job, big thanks

DO NOT USE BEWARE!!! Van broke down and my breakdown company contacted these people to recover me. Recovery driver was ok and nice bloke but the mechanic's and actual company that's a different story. They took my van back to their depot and I rang them the following morning. Spoke to a girl and asked if they had looked at my van. Mechanic in background said yes it's snapped cambelt. I said oh that's strange I had it changed 8 months ago. Then he changed his tune and said oh it's not snapped it's stripped all teeth off. Again I thought strange as not long had it changed. Went down to garage to take photos of cambelt and cover is still on so I take it off and cambelt is absolutely fine. Mechanic just wanted to try and fob me off with putting new engine in and hadn't even looked at it.
Then I arranged for recovery to a garage in Rotherham to be fixed and they came out with invoice for £276. 5 days storage at £35 per day and one hours diagnosis at £55. Wouldn't allow me to take van until I had paid. At no point was I told there would be storage charges and as for the diagnosis for an hour that's an absolute joke as he never even looked at it. Even the recovery driver said to me I didn't know we charge storage fees and he had been there years. Asked girl from reception to remove hours diagnosis from invoice as they hadn't done it. She said "they must of diagnosed it in the weekend" I said I don't think so as Ive had the key since Thursday morning when I inspected the cambelt myself and locked the van up. This company is a complete joke and just out to rip people off. They will tell you things are wrong with car or van when there isn't. And if you aren't mechanically minded you will fall for it. Very untrustworthy please don't use!!!

(Edit 28/08/25) If your mechanic has apparently done an hour's labour I'm sure you wouldn't mind sharing the CCTV of him looking at my van and then I'd be happy to change my review. As for the storage I was never told about any costs beforehand and was never shown any paperwork regarding charges which your supposed to do.

Car broke down on the ferry calais-dover and we got stuck on the port because the car was completely dead. Called our insurance and they contacted our personal vacation hero Steven. Very kind man, very engaged and very capable. Despite being quite far from Dover he organized a mechanic to check, book a hotel when it was sure we'd be stuck for the night, a taxi to get my mom and dog to the hotel and a towtruck to get me and the car off the port in the middle of the night mind you. He stayed awake with me to make sure everything works out until almost 4am and organized another towing to his garage the next day with the replacement part already ordered and ready to go. Things got pushed back because a sub-contractor wasn't showing up as he should've and steven sent his guy even further to come pick us up anyway making sure we had our car ready to go and enjoy the rest of our vacation early the morning after after again booking the hotel for us. Since we had a small dog with us, he made sure the tow guys came with trucks where we could place her in her travel carrier and even the hotels were explicitly pet friendly. We didn't have to worry about a thing, no stress at all and overall great experience and great service.

Arrived bang on the time I was told. Didn't get the gents name, but was very friendly and informative and helpful. Helped get my car started and told me exactly what I should do next.
Probably an easy job for him, but for someone who knows next to nothing about the inner workings of a car, it was a tad stressful.
Would recommend and use again.
