when your lab gets injured on a Sunday on a long weekend you tend to panic and worry however contacting Vet Check soon put my fears at ease and offered a simple process which thankfully worked for my boy. All good and then they even checked in the next day.
May not match an actual visit but it is as close as you can get especially with the video link.

The VetChat vet I spoke to was very thorough in their online consultation, asked relevant questions and their recommendations were very thoughtful and helpful. It gave me peace of mind and I was able to make an informed decision for the next step in my pet’s care.

VetChat only provides guidance, although you are talking with a vet they cannot prescribe ANY medication. So their service is basically information only. The small print states this but nowhere on the main body of the website do they disclose that you are just talking to a vet for advice. Don't waste your money.

We were worried about a rash that had developed on our 12 week old puppy. We contacted VetChat and they responded within a very short space of time. We followed their advice and took our puppy to the local Vet who diagnosed an infection which if left untreated could have been serious. The VetChat service gave us great peace of mind.

My experience was great because there was a real vet there past regular hours with me in a place an hour from vets at any time. I was able to share what was going on with my dog and present pictures. In turn the vet looked at them, asked questions and gave me good answers and advised what to do. She also wanted followup and I knew she really cared about me and my companion dog.

This was our first opportunity to use VetChat and it was a great experience. The service was responsive (little or no waiting time) and informative (the Vet did her research on the item that our dog managed to eat) and then stayed in touch, checking up on her condition

Having a vet to speak to when my puppy chewed up a AA battery was very reassuring. She was very helpful and confirmed that my dog needed to attend the after hours clinic. Luckily the battery was very old and my dog my a full recovery.

Have used this service as part of my pet's health insurance and cannot rate high enough. Dr Lucy Crane and all the vets are super helpful and experienced - VetChat is highly recommended for the health and safety of your furry friends!!

Caring for two terminally ill older dogs isn't easy, especially when they get sick or symptoms worsen on a weekend night (which seems to be the trend). We've relied on VetChat a few times for on-the-spot advice and the vets have always been very prompt and helpful with their response. They've put our minds at ease and ensured we take the right steps and precautions to ensure our dogs receive the best care at home, out of hours. We live a long way from an emergency vet, so it's reassuring to know we have this backup. It's saved us many unnecessary and expensive trips to the emergency vet. And, on one occasion, made sure we got timely emergency vet care when it was critically needed.
