Best Indian groceries shop in UK
Very good online shop for Indian groceries. Have never had any problems with their service or delivery. If at all any item that I had ordered isn’t available, they would promptly give me a call the previous day to delivery and discuss the alternative options. If I have missed to order an item and find out about that later, I have messaged them whatsapp to add that item to my existing order. And everytime they have helped me with that!

Make sure you compare prices before committing to any order.
Any refund needs to be handled by yourself, which means shipping back to the retailer at your own cost.
I ordered groceries from the online shop. Cassava had mould. They promised this will be refunded but nothing so far.
One "chow chow" costs £1.99, unlike others like RedRickshaw or Londongroceries. The reason they gave is that it depends on the weight.
I did not realise that all of the goods were very expensive until those were actually delivered to me. I thought the box/packaging were bigger hence the price was higher. Actually, it was not the case. Comparing like for like, even Sainsbury price is cheaper for the powdered milk, biscuit Good Day etc.
When I requested for a full refund on the items that can be returned, I had to pay the shipping cost.
This was not worth it. No return, no refund, I just accept it for this time and this is the first & last order from my side.

Guaranteed Low Prices --> Definitely NOT
24x7 Support --> 100% NOT
Excellent Service --> May be others, not for me.

The hypocrisy of a manager
I am a regular customer at Veenas Barkingside and the team is always warm and helpful. I had the misfortune to come across a member of staff, who claimed to be the manager named Diamond ( so he claimed with a snigger). This Diamond of a man, asked me not to sift through the mangoes in the box. if I wanted to buy the mangoes, he insisted that I had to buy whatever was in the box (a box with rotten mangoes in it)
First of all, he certainly lives up to his name as he was as cold as a diamond in his approach. Secondly, his customer skills were so rusty that he would have put a complete novice to shame. His customer service skills are abysmal for a member of staff with a long standing service. It’s a shame that an organisation where all the members of staff are ever so helpful and welcoming this particular “manager” is a model of “what not to do”.
Lastly, a question for the management … would you walk into a shop and buy fresh produce that should not be on the shelf? No one in their right mind and clear sight would do so !!! From a business point of view, it does not make sense as it would have been better to sell fresh produce as quickly as possible.
I am hoping that the management will reconsider their stand when it comes to fresh produce as I have always considered Veenas to be a warm, welcoming, diverse organisation that adds value to a customer’s shopping experience.

The chat option is so useful and they are always there to respond. Top companies struggle to support this option however Veenas has consistently done it. Kudos to Veenas for consistently investing in customer feedback.

The products are good but operations…
The products are good but operations and delivery are not as expected. Parcels would not be delivered to the apartment and were simply left at the lobby or near the lift entrance. In one order, there were items missing and I had to bring it to the notice of the company via an email.
