Avoid at all costs.

I've used UR in the past multiple times with no issue. However I agreed a price for my Apple Watch on the 2nd of July, and have still not received payment. I was told it would be 30 business days at the worst. We are now at 44 business days, and I've NOW BEEN INFORMED IT WILL BE MAY 2027.
That is just short of a YEAR after agreeing the price, and they are also refusing to return the device. Absolutely appalled and will be looking at what legal avenues are open to me in this instance.

ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I sold a phone back in July, was advised payment would take 14-30 days to be paid and there is a slight back log. I am over the 30 days and now being advised my payment has been scheduled for APRIL 2027 - 8 months away!!! They will not return my phone to me either - SCAMMERS!!!

The worse company when it comes to selling your phone to. They advertise paying the same day but paid me 5 weeks later.

Will never sell to them again.

Payment for my old phone agreed at the end of May, still no payment received.
Email sent every 3/4 days asking gor an update and always the same reply, working on backlog blah blah blah.
Today after at least 30 emails, I get the reply that my payment will be issued on 22/04/2027, yes 2027.
NEVER use this company, they are a joke.

Shocking company - essentially stealing your items and then selling them on!

Avoid at all cost! I’m kicking myself for not reading the reviews. Initially offered me a fair price for the phone but then after having the phone for over a week told me there were scuffs on the screen (which was new with a screen protector) and the battery was faulty but I had never had any issue, charged fine and held charge for well over 24 hours with a lot of use. I rejected the new offer and asked for my device back. Instead they kept offering me new prices for the phone and I eventually accepted one which was close to the original and I was fed up of the back and forth. Was told I would then receive payment but 3 months on I keep getting told payment is processing and I’m to be patient. I contacted to ask for either the device back or payment and have heard nothing back from the company but did receive another generic email telling me my payment is now in the final stages. I found them through a compare website for trading in old electronics. Honestly not worth it you won’t get a fair price, they appear to make up issues to try and bring the price down and even if they agree to pay you, you’ll wait months

Scam! Sent my phone in 3 months ago, yes 3 months, despite numerous E-mails of complaints still no nearer to get the money owed! Latest communication from them states I may hear something by the end of next week!! That will be almost 4 months they have had my phone! Absolute joke, will not be using these again,

I sold my iPhone to them in June, I have not been paid over 3 months! SCAMMER!!

No more text or email from them since July.

DO NOT USE!!!! Sold phone in July. Told me I’d be paid for iPhone in 14-30 working days to now be told I won’t be paid until JAN 2027!!! Taking action with police and small claims!

AVOID! Made up some damage claims that didn’t exist and asked for my phone back 3 times, each time waiting a day to then get a higher offer. Eventually I agreed a figure because I couldn’t be bothered with waiting for it to come back and then sending off to someone else. Wish I had asked for it back now though. Been waiting 3 months now for payment, chased 10 times by email with generic rubbish high demand responses. Just been told I will be paid in Feb 2027!! Absolutely ridiculous, I’m lost for words how livid I am. Will now go through small claims court, great fun. You can find the owner of company easily find on companies house (not allowed to say name on here) he’s on LinkedIn. There are people commenting on his posts with the same issue. Would you believe it, he won an award last year for how brilliant his business is - scamming people.

Don't touch these with a barge pole sold them my phone they said £119 for it then they offered £95 saying there are some scratches on it there was no scratches on the phone when I sent it but I accepted the £95 they said payment would be 14/30 day's it's been more than 30 day's now so I emailed them to ask where my payment was now there saying payment will be 25th January 2027 as they are very busy cowboy firm I have now reported to trading standards I would give them 0 star's if I could

Sold my phone to them back in June was told 14 to 30 working days for payment which initially I wasn’t happy with but decided easier than getting back and selling elsewhere still no payment have complained through resolver had a reply today saying won’t be getting a payment before march 2027 while they work through that backlog absolute scam of a company and if you try phoning them there is no answer AVOID AT ALL COSTS SCAMMERS

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY … they are scammers they take your phone … hassle you to send it then make you a much lower offer THEN as they have your phone you are obliged to except it…. THEN THEY Don’t PAY YOU …. They constantly say due to excessive demand they are super busy and can’t give you any idea when payment might happen? Really they are thieves

As we have shared previously, we are experiencing payment delays. But I can confirm we are processing payments every single day, working through the backlog as fast as we can. Based on where you are in that queue, the earliest we can get to your payment is 6th April 2027
I know that's a long time to wait for money that's owed to you. I want to be completely clear about one thing: you will be paid. This isn't a maybe. It's a case of when, not if.
This is the latest this will be, it will not move any further back, and you will be paid by then.
We'll also email you every month with an update - either confirming the date again, or telling you if we've managed to move it earlier.

DO NOT USE this company.

I sent my iPhone off at the start of June. Agreed a lower amount on 11th June.
- over 20 emails telling me they are very busy.
- Take 3-4 days to reply but then it’s a generic email, often without a name.
- Chased weekly and now told I will be paid the £360 owed to me on 22nd January 2027!!
- That would be over 7 months delay in payment for no obvious reason!
- Please DO NOT use as it’s stressful and avoidable.

I hope this is useful and helps others not fall in the same trap I did.

Can you imagine if CEX said they would take your phone but won’t pay you for it for 7 months…. They would go into administration in no time.

Total scam and MUST be avoided.

I wish I could do a minus rating. Sent our phones in May/June accepted the offer on 10th June, now I've been told it'll be April next year!! Just keep getting fobbed off 'we're really busy' 'we've had soo many sent to us'. Absolut con!!

I sent my phone to UR as a trade-in via tracked delivery, and UR confirmed they had received it. The agreed payment was £300.

Despite repeatedly chasing, I have now been waiting over six weeks for payment. I was initially told there was a backlog, but after escalating the matter I have now been told that the earliest payment date is 8 April 2027 due to payment delays.

So UR currently has my phone, I have neither my phone nor the £300 payment, and I am being asked to wait many more months for money that is owed to me.

Their customer service has been polite, but being told they cannot provide a reasonable payment timescale and that I may have to wait until April 2027 is completely unacceptable.

I have retained all correspondence, including confirmation that UR received my phone and their email confirming the payment delay and expected payment date.

I will update this review if and when the matter is resolved and I receive my £300.
