Just the best experience! I couldn't believe how beautiful the location was, bluebell walks and the beach in close driving distance. I've been looking for somewhere like this that I can go and just unwind with my dog and unplugged have hit the nail on the head. This will be my go to from now on.

It's crazy how different life feels (for the better) when you choose to separate yourself from your phone for a few days. I would recommend it to anyone, especially with Unplugged where it also feels like you are staying in the coolest little cabin possible. It's just epic!

On a practical level, the shower is excellent - powerful and hot. The loo is... a loo (nothing to be worried about). The cabin feels safe and secure. And the bed is a dream. Recommend, recommend, recommend.

This was one of the most lovely stays and experiences I’ve ever been/had! The place is absolutely beautiful and they think of all the details with the old radio and tapes, games and everything is there. The area is lovely, literally everything from my experience was perfect, totally recommend it! 10/10 ❤️

I have been to 2 of the unplugged cabin’s and I absolutely loved both experiences. The perfect break away from the city.
During winter, you can cosy up to the wood-burner in the cabin, and during the summer nights you can relax outside around the fire-pit.

I went to the cabin with my sister and her dog and we had a wonderful time. Reminding us of camping when we were younger. The weather was amazing so we were able to be outside, walk and sit by the fire. We switched off, enjoyed each other's company and slept so well!

One of the best experiences we’ve ever had. Was worried I might get a bit bored and want to go on my phone but it was the complete opposite, we didn’t want to return to the real world. Could have stayed for another week. Was so nice to take things a bit slower, have time to read a book and just enjoy each other’s company. Definitely recommend and will be going back!

I was fortunate to experience an off the grid eco stay in the Essex countryside with Unplugged, a much needed opportunity for disconnection, reflection and immersion in nature.

The location instructions were detailed and got me to my secluded destination with ease. The cabin itself was a perfectly designed haven, full of all the necessary items to allow my switch off to be swift and blissful.

The weather was fantastic. Frosty mornings and incredible sunrises. Soft hues of pinks, oranges and blues as the sun set, giving way to a blanket of stars amid the mesmerising glow from the fire pit.

The perfect antidote to busy city life and one I would highly recommend and will definitely book again.

My partner and I had a lovely cabin experience. The bed was really comfy, amenities just right and unplugging was really relaxing. I really recommend it to those wanting to simply switch off.

Although we only managed to stay for one of the three nights thanks to the recent storms (which the company have been great about), it truly was the most relaxing 24 hours I can remember.
The cabin itself was cosy and comfortable, the location was brilliant and the little extras like playing cards, scrabble and coffee meant we didn’t have to lug too much with us!
We managed to get out for a short walk when the rain briefly stopped and the local area was lovely and peaceful.
Our dog absolutely loved watching the birds from the window, and we loved being able to see the stars at night. I think it’s so much easier being able to appreciate the little things when there’s no phone/internet distractions!
We will definitely book another stay sometime so that we can experience the full 3 days

We found the place no problem. It was just what was indeed. Perfect getaway. Little hidden gem .
The simplicity In doing nothing and spending less time on devises was very welcomed. The most spectacular views every morning and the peace and quiet was sublime.
We shall definitely be returning.

The most incredible escape. A slightly concerned taxi driver when I asked him to drop me off in what appeared to be nowhere. But I found the cabin tucked away as my instructions directed. A blissful weekend. I took my watch off and so slept when tired and ate when hungry. Free of these everyday constraints it was a real tonic. Will definitely be back!

Surprised my boyfriend with an 'unplugged' weekend away and it went down a storm! We had a fantastic time relaxing without any notifications of emails, messages or anything else. It was a real opportunity to switch off, to stop reaching for your phone and enjoy the simple things like a real fire, boardgames, getting lost with a map and compass. I would recommend this to everyone!

Wonderful, tranquil stay. Well laid out and equipped cabin in a great position - fabulous views through the big picture windows. Highly recommend!

We Only Live Once - making memories that will last a lifetime.

I took my 2 young daughters and the dog with us. We loved our adventure together and found the the timeout away from it all so rewarding and made so many incredible memories together that we’re truly thankful for. As a family we’re on our own cancer journey that has affected all us all mentally and being in nature has had a massively healing.

As I left the cabin I ask both my children what they would give our stay out of 10. They both said 10.

The cabins are minimalist but also filled with luxury! The shower was brilliant! Hot and powerful.
The instax was sooo cool!
Tea and coffee was good (although English breakfast tea would have been favoured over the fruity selection)
The shower gel supplied was gorgeous.
Would definitely come back and visit the other sites!

Our stay at one of the cabins was a really great experience. The cabin itself is amazing. It has everything you could possibly need, the kitchen had all the utensils to cook meals, a comfy bed, cosy fire and a lovely view of the countryside. There was lots of extra touches such as board games, Polaroid camera and maps. We really loved how eco friendly the cabin was with biodegradable cleaning products, bamboo toilet roll and solar panels for power. We found the stay to be extremely relaxing and a great experience to switch off to feel fully refreshed! Everything was really easy, the instructions to find the cabin and how to use everything. The only negative is having to leave! We would definitely recommend and excited to visit again!

Loved the idea of a "technology detox" and we weren't disappointed. The cabins was secluded with beautiful views from the huge window by the bed of the Hertfordshire countryside.
It was easy to find and all the little touches such as OS map for walks, Polaroid camera for capturing memories, board games and books made it feel really special.
Taking a break with no TV and mobile phone truly felt like we could unwind and relax. The bed was comfy and the kitchen area had everything you could need to rustle up some lovely meals.
The location was on an estate with plenty of footpaths and walks, not too far from local amenities either though.
We will certainly be back in the summer! And found it very good value for money!

Amazing stay at unplugged. Secluded picturesque spot - a brilliant experience and really well thought out from parking up to departure. Much bigger than we expected and pooch friendly. Great shower! One hour from London, off grid in style - we would absolutely recommend.

My 3 days "unplugged" adventure took place 07/11/2021 -10/11/2021 in Pablo, Finchingfield. It was a truly incredible and unique experience. Everything and more that I could wish for.

The parking space was easy to find. There was still daylight left when I arrived on Sunday. Pablo was around the corner, tucked away in a field.

In the first instance, I got to know the cabin very well. I love the simplicity, how the cabin is kitted out, what it offers. It's very eco-oriented. Runs on solar panels. Everything in it has a purpose. The shower is way better than mine! The fire place has kept me toasty warm.

Whilst sitting on one of the fire pit chairs outside on Sunday, I watched the sun setting over the fields, over the trees. It was very calming, very relaxing. Just beautiful. I knew at that moment, I'll be having a wonderful time.

That window by the bed is like a big screen HD TV. Stars look so much brighter, closer. I've not drawn the blinds once. I don't do it at home, plus here, I saw so much more. And the sunrises! Just wow! What a treat!

For the Monday I planned a circular walk, from Pablo through the village, handrailing Finchingfield Brook to Great Bardfield and back 'via' near enough Little Sampford (was on my left, although I never went into the village itself), then Hawkin's Hill, Darielay Farm and back to Pablo. I was out and about for 6hrs, give or take. But this included breaks, chatting to 2-3 people, taking in the surroundings and yes, taking photos with the Polaroid camera. Weather was glorious for November. All I needed was food/drink, the OS map from Pablo, compass and Polaroid camera.

My route was mainly footpaths, public paths and there was a little bit of walking on the road. The roads weren't an issue, as I came across a very few cars. Some parts of my walk were muddy, bit overgrown, path big enough for one, other parts with plenty of space for a tractor (I did see a couple of those actually.)

In Great Bardfield there is the "Cage". It was closed, but it used to be a prison many moons ago. The entry is free, but it's only open for a few warm months and only on Saturday, Sunday & BHL + only between 1430-1730hrs. When I spoke to the local postie, she told me they used to throw drunks in there. From the outside, it looks like a small house. And I was told worth the visit.

During my walk I have seen sheep, cows, horses, many pheasants, squirrels, ducks and also a couple of dog walkers with their dogs (they were near Hawkin's Hill). They were fascinated by the Polaroid camera. They told me (and also the ladies from the "Tea Room" confirmed it) that Hawkin's Hill looks magical in January/February when the bluebells are out. And especially if there was a dusting of snow or frost.

I was recharged after my walk. Such a beautiful day all around. Again I sat outside, then later watched the sunset. So peaceful.

Tuesday I explored closer to "home". Yes Pablo became my home for these 3 days. Great Howe Wood is a stone throw away. Although I've not seen them, I've been later told that those woods have deer in them.

When I wasn't walking, I'd listen to the radio, or read a book or plan the following day or watch the sunsets. There are also games in Pablo to keep you entertained. Tuesday I also ventured into Finchingfield itself. It is a very dog friendly area. The people are chatty, helpful and friendly.

I came prepared where food is concerned. I had everything to get me through my 3 days. However, on Tuesday I treated myself to a light lunch in 'Zafra' and cream tea in 'Tea Room'. Highly recommend both. Yum! Great food, great service. And then I walked it off a little as I returned to Pablo walking on Winsey Chase, towards Tom's Grove, down Tom's Lane, past Spinney Lodge, a public path that eventually took me to Darielay Farm and back to Pablo.

I most definitely will be returning to Pablo, just in a different season. I slept really well throughout. I felt completely recharged after those wonderful 3 days. My mind felt decluttered. All of my 5 senses feasted for those 72 hours. It was so liberating, so stress releasing, not to have the mobile phone switched on. I actually didn't switch mine back on until that Wednesday afternoon. The old style Nokia gives you a piece of mind, should you need to call in emergency.

I thoroughly recommend the "unplugged" experience.
