I wish I never fell for their quirky job description filled with empty promises. It described the role as a permanent position with flexible hours. In reality, when I proposed my availability it was rejected by my manager, and I was expected to work the hours he preferred - so no flexibility for me. My probation was also extended twice, so no promised pay rise either.

It’s interesting to me that the original 3-month probation somehow wasn’t enough time for the company to decide whether they wanted me or not. Conveniently, extending it by another 2 months covered the busiest period of the year (October-December), after which I was suddenly fired just few days before Christmas.

The workplace culture was difficult for me. I regularly heard management speaking negatively about employees when they weren’t present, including awful things said about me that I happened to overhear myself. It created an atmosphere that felt toxic and unpleasant to be around. It also encouraged blame culture and volumes of gossip I've never seen in other jobs. The way certain situations were handled seemed to me like top-down bullying.

During my time there, the work I prepared (products, tools and equipment) would often disappear and later be used by someone else without any acknowledgement. What made this particularly frustrating were the strict targets that were already difficult to reach without things like this happening. Me and others raised this issue, but nothing really changed despite management seemingly knowing exactly who was responsible.

On top of that, we were expected to work with faulty or worn-out equipment that produced rejects completely outside of our control. Production workers were still expected to hit targets regardless, as if the problem didn’t exist.

One situation that stood out was when I tried to raise these issues after being encouraged by colleagues to do so. The reaction I received from leadership was aggressive and involved shouting and swearing, which was something I had never experienced in a workplace before. Situations like this seemed to me like obvious favouritism.

What made the ending particularly difficult was being let go just few days before Christmas, shortly after taking a day off due to a personal crisis. In my flat I've lost electricity, heating, warm water, and any ability to cook a warm meal for days. In the middle of freezing December. A situation that resulted in being taken by ambulance and hospitalized.

Apparently, for the owners of this business, being in a life-threatening situation is not considered a good enough reason to call in sick. To me, this also heavily contradicts the company’s claims about “flexible hours”, considering those hours could easily have been worked back later, just like some other employees were allowed to do.

The messages I received made me feel completely disposable despite the effort I had put into the job - as if I was simply a tool to be used and thrown away when no longer needed.

During my time there I worked hard, delivered strong results, and contributed ideas and solutions that WERE implemented. I also spent a good amount of time helping to organize and improve the workplace during my employment. Those were responsibilities of the management, that often seemed either unwilling or unable to handle themselves.

I often spent my time doing the most difficult and prone to reworks products, that some employees who worked longer than me never did. And I was still subjected to the same target as others.

I got along with the majority of my colleagues, including friendships that extended beyond the workplace. I genuinely believe most of them had a good opinion of me and enjoyed my company, except the management.

I even came up with a solution to a major production issue that had been causing reduced output, increased costs, reworks and refunds for weeks or even months. That solution potentially saved the company significant amounts of money and customer goodwill, and likely will continue to do so for a long time.

And then despite all this I've experienced the biggest betrayal of my life. At the lowest point of my life. At the time of the year when almost nobody is hiring. Without any appreciation for the heart and effort I've put into this company.

I've never felt so used, disrespected and betrayed ever before in my entire life.

Edit: After everything I described and went through, they couldn't even bother to address a single point. Empty words from people who apparently find accountability far more uncomfortable than mistreating the people who work for them. If this is what they call 'taking feedback seriously', it's no wonder the company is what it is. It perfectly sums it up: arrogant, dismissive and shameless. I wouldn't expect anything more from them.

I can’t sing uncover creations praises enough. The options are great, the pour on my maw is just a thing of beauty. The customer services was actually the best I’ve had for pretty much any product, they replied quickly and personally rather than AI generated when I had a query and I got regular updates the whole time so I really felt like I knew what was happening as it went along. With the product being so personal that really made you feel part of it. I was that impressed I made another order after one experiment with my order.

I bought a ready made Dragon Oni Grinder and I absolutely love it! The shipping was fast. I bought the Dragon Oni the same day as some other toys from a different site that's located here in the States. I got my Dragon from the Uk before I got my toys from California. My Grinder came in excellent condition as well as a mini freebie. The grinder was well crafted and is beautiful. Will definitely get my return business in the future though now that I know the quality I'll be sure to customize my next toy. Wish I had bought sooner.
