We’ve been using TUIO for a while now, and I honestly don’t know how we managed before. What stands out most is how intuitive the system is—managing payments, credits, and student records doesn’t require any workarounds or complicated processes. Once you understand the flow, everything just clicks.

The Payment Method Discount mode has been a game changer for us. It’s transparent, parent-friendly, and easy to explain. Families love seeing a line item discount when they use lower-cost payment methods, and it’s helped us reduce service fees significantly. We send out registration programs in advance, and parents authorize their payments with just a few clicks—there’s no heavy lifting for our admin team.

Whenever we do need help, support is responsive and proactive, but the beauty of TUIO is that we rarely need to contact them. The system is flexible and powerful, but also surprisingly simple to use once it’s set up correctly. It’s clear that TUIO was built with schools in mind—we feel supported, empowered, and way more efficient.

If you want to complicate your already busy life as an administrator for a school, then definitely get TUIO. Applying payments and credits, contact info, and connecting classes and registrations to students are cumbersome tasks that should be the bread and butter of a tuition system, but these are so difficult to accomplish on TUIO it will have you pulling out your hair looking for buttons/ options that don't exist-- going back and forth through all the options until you realize you have to contact support and wait for a response... the next day. Support is lovely and responsive, and always has some switch on their side they can magically flip to fix the error-- which makes me wonder why I don't have that switch on my side.
The icing on the cake for us is the backwards fee charging-- TUIO charges a fee in advance unless your customer chooses to use a bank account as their preferred method on a permanent basis, and tuition never adds up correctly as a result. Even after we set bank account option to push the fees to us, it still charges a small fee to the parent somehow too. The parent sees an amount they didn't agree to pay, and always asks why, leaving admin to explain an unexplainable fee. If you apply a credit (comp or trade) to an account, it still charges a "credit card" fee because bank account wasn't the MOP. There is no way as an admin to go in and remove the fee. It's stuck there for no reason. These illogical errors/issues are a ridiculous waste of time.. When there are so many other options out there that keep things simple, and TUIO seems to purposely complicate them, I have to switch systems. It is not user friendly, and it is not editable in the ways it should be.

Linnea’s attention to detail with our account is wonderful, and she is very proactive with her customer service.

I like that they let you get started for free. Your able to make forms for individual programs and securely store student paperwork on their server. The downsides include not being able to add line items to an invoice. You have to charge for each thing separately or combine charges. Its very difficult for programs that may have multiple tiers or individual supplies. Also they charge a fee to tally cash payments which wasnt explained until way into the onboarding process. The onboarding process took a very long time.

The staff at Tuio is very helpful and responsive. Most of the time they answer my questions within an hour with all the necessary resources to be complete the task at hand and in the future.

I am very impressed with the software, but even better is the human interaction that comes with it. Both Oliver and Linnea, my consultants helped me immensely and have made doing business so much easier.

Etan is always ready and willing to assist and clarify questions. I am new to this platform and I need to get familiar with it.
