What an absolute disgraceful experience!!! Below was my orginal review that i was promoted to do on the phone with the travel person on the phone. Ive then come off the phone to look into accommodation etc and just fount out ive been completely ripped off and even just paid more over the phone. I was told i couldnt have the hotel i expecting due to the fact i wanted to change timings of flights and airport (they was trying to give me a airport which was over 3 hours away from destination dispite there being 2 more airports closer to hotel). I was made to feel i was getting a better deal but with no time to actually check all details out but in actual fact im paying over double the price and getting less that what the actual wowcher deal was..... fuming is an understatement and i will be following this up!!! Absolutely amazing service whilst booking my wowcher voucher trip thank you Andy really looking forward to out stay..... what a load of rubbish Andy your disgraceful

Absolutely disgusting experience with Wowcher.

I purchased a holiday package advertised as a 2-day holiday departing from London Stansted for £89. I even have a screenshot clearly showing Stansted Airport in the advertisement. However, when the operator called to confirm the booking, I was told the flight was actually from Gatwick Airport instead.

To make matters worse, the outbound flight was around 5pm, meaning we would arrive at the destination around 8pm, effectively losing the entire first day of the “2-day holiday.” We would then return to the UK early the following morning after only one full day there.

When I requested the airport to be changed to Stansted as originally advertised, I was asked to pay an extra £49.50. I was then told the booking was non-refundable because “the holiday had already been explained” to me.

Another issue was that when they sent the flight details, my name was spelled incorrectly on the flight tickets, even though it was correct on the hotel booking details. This is very unprofessional and could have caused serious travel issues.

This whole experience feels extremely misleading and unfair. The advertisement did not match what was actually being offered, and the customer service was completely unhelpful.

This was my first experience with Wowcher and, without doubt, my last. I will never recommend Wowcher to anyone.

Update now we are back.
The customer service was excellent from Travelolo. What would have been helpful when booking through wowcher was knowing when the flight times were. We had to pay extra to get more time and better flight times. Our flight to Rome wouldn't have got us in until after 10pm and our flight home from Naples was 6am! Whilst we made the right decision to pay extra to change these it would have been helpful to know this when purchasing the voucher.

Rome was amazing, hotel was decent enough (not a UK standard) but we weren't going to be in it for long. It was however really far from where we wanted to be.

For Naples the train journey was pleasant. We ended up booking an entirely different hotel that we paid for due to some terrible reviews about the one that had been booked by Tavelolo. This included people having to pay extra cleaning costs and slow return of a £200 deposit. The hotel we ended up booking had none of this and was quirky with a roof terrace with stunning views of the city.

What would be helpful is having a list of options/prices/hotels on wowcher for the hotel's and flight times to choose from at different prices to avoid extra costs.

For future I will be avoiding using wowcher to book holidays and go direct to an agent or just book myself. Not necessarily a criticism of Travelolo but the process from wowcher.
