We booked a daytrip to Lapland (from Bournemouth) which turned out to be your worst nightmare.
2h delay at 7am on the outbound flight, waiting at -20 degrees outside a shop for almost half an hour before receiving snowsuits/-boots, a dark depressing ‘christmas village’, no food for children before 6.45pm, a’buffet’ that consisted of one dish (sorry, plus some dry old bread), inadequate facilities to warm up (tiny), open fire pits without any safety features with young children in oversized snowboots/-suits walking around, return flight being cancelled due to crew refusing to fly , transfer to a hotel at 3am, no water nor food, screaming children everywhere…, return flight next day at 4.30pm, again three hours delay while sitting on the plane, no food!
Do not make the same mistake we made, do not travel with this operator.
Transun blatantly disregards the well-being of children, they ignore basic needs, they expose clients to potentially dangerous situations.
This company is a total disgrace and should not be allowed to operate.

We have recently returned from a Northern Lights trip to Finland staying at the Davvi Lodge. It was incredible and Transun were awesome!!

Omg!!!! What an amazing holiday !!!! Transun organised everything perfectly. We stayed at the Davvi hotel, very rustic, cabin like hotel and very in keeping with the trip. We did all the trips and extras, which were all exceptional. The Aurora hunter trip was fab and we even got to see the northern lights, it’s cold but the suits and boots that’s are provided are really warm.We would recommend Transun and the holiday and we will definitely be using Transun again.

We booked with Transun to go to Finland in Dec 2022, on a three night break. We booked all the activities, and the schedule was arranged for us. The hotel was really nice and the staff were friendly.
The reps were all brilliant, attentive, knowledgable and honest - special thank you to Andre, Paula and Lisa.
Onto the excursions - the reindeer sleigh ride was OK - not really exciting but a relaxing hour. The husky sledge rides were hard going, exciting and great fun. The snowmobile northern light spotting trip was brilliant and something I’d highly recommend, and then the night in the ice igloo…..well that’s exactly what it is, and it’s freezing. Think cold, and then double it! If you’re going to do it, wrap up warm then wrap up more. Then more.
The only downside, and I’m being picky, is that all the activities were 50 minutes to an hour away, so do two things in one day and you’re in a car for four hours.
Other than that, great holiday with a great company.

Health and safety NOT a priority. BEWARE if travelling to Lapland with young children. When delayed at an airport with no vending machines or shops, we were provided with paper cups and told to get water from the tap in the airport’s public toilets. Advertised “hot buffet lunch”. Children were prohibited from eating until 6.45pm, despite asking and there being no access to food elsewhere (no shops serving food) from 10am. Young children encouraged to get warm by standing next to open fire pits wearing oversized flammable snow suits and unfamiliar snow boots making them unsteady on their feet.

As soon as we arrived in resort the Transun staff were very organised. Directed to our designated coach, 10 minute drive to suits and boots then a further 10 minutes to the village. Once there we were given an over view of where each activity station was and headed straight for a tasty hot meal.
Loved the fact that we could wander about as a family group and do the activities as and when we liked. The reps did run about checking we hadn’t missed anything and reminding us of our meeting time with Santa.
We never had to wait for an activity and could pop into a log cabin for hot drinks and cookies when we needed to warm up - plus plenty of fires dotted about to warm up by.
Make sure you take your driving license as these are a legal requirement to drive the snow mobiles in Finland, and you don’t want to miss out on these as they are great fun!

We had the most incredible day! So magical and value for money is fantastic!
My little boys were so excited it was amazing. I know it was only a day trip but that adds to the excitement- Finland for the day to see Santa!! Just amazing.

We had waited since 2020 trip and were super excited. A day trip to see santa, ride a sled, snowmobile drive and a husky ride was planned. A 3 hour delay to take off caused by a tiny bit of snow and poor airport admin. Plane load of super excited kids and all we were offered was half a cup of water! Eventually took off and served the most pitiful in-flight brunch. We ate it as by this time we were hungry but that was the only reason. Nothing magical or remotely festive on the flight (ooh I lie, the cabin crew wore santa hats!). The journey to the resort was lack lustre and no xmas spirit was created. Once we arrived at the resort it was lovely, not much guidance but we enjoyed our time there. The company provided food which was warm and not hot and òk but nothing amazing. A lot more magic could have been created and some customer care would have been welcomed. The return flight was deliberately delayed to give the right amount of time in the resort but this led to some very very tired customers who would have benefited from some tlc. Poor and most definitely not worth the money paid.

I am very unhappy with Transun. Our flight was diverted to a different airport and no onward travel arranged and no communication, leaving hundreds of children and families stranded. We had to pay over £800 in taxi fees to get home. Transun on the phone said they would pay and have now passed us onto the airline, who are ignoring our emails. Absolutely terrible customer service. This is still not resolved. Very untrustworthy.

just returned from a day trip with my 8 year old to lapland, to say I'm disappointed is an understatement, its very poorly organised, poorly run, poor activities etc the reindeer sleigh ride lasts about a minute, the husky ride about 45 seconds, snow mobile ride which you are not actually on a snow mobile your put into a sleigh which takes 8 people at a time lasts roughly a minute and santa spends 4-5 minutes with your child and gives each child the most ridiculous present considering the money that they are paid, other than that you are left to your own devices and simply told to have snow fun, my son asked me on quite a few occasions what we were meant to do now as he was bored as there's no option to do any of the activities again, and the food on the flight both going and returning home almost no one on the flight ate it it was that bad, was certainly not the magical experience I was expecting it to be and certainly the biggest waste of £1100 for 2 people, I could have had a similar experience had I stayed home for a tenth of the price, it's nothing more than an over priced money racket.

I have recently returned from Lapland - 'In search of the Northern Lights' with Transun on a 3 night stay. From start to finish the holiday, staff and excursions were simply amazing, a truly once in a lifetime experience with the excursions - from Reindeer camp, mushing our own huskies to viewing the Northern lights dancing in the sky whilst watching from our snowmobiles on a frozen lake! Memories to last a lifetime! Thank you so much Transun for the experience :)

I had the most amazing 3 nights in Lapland. The trip was truly magical with all the activities being well organised, the staff were very friendly and the accommodation was comfortable and clean. I am looking forward to going back next year!

Excellent value for money, staff are super friendly and efficient. Food is scrumptious and the trips are brilliant that are included. Overall a brilliant trip and our 28 customers thoroughly enjoyed their time in Finland.

Had the most amazing long weekend in Lapland - a once in a lifetime holiday! The activities were all a good duration and the Transun team were excellent when it came to navigating Covid restrictions. We can't wait to come back in Jan 2024 already!!

Did the the 5 nights and it was the perfect taster of Lapland. The trip was packed full with tasters of husky rides, reindeer sled rides and more. We had a lot of freedom outside out the activities to explore on our own with some great suggestions from Dino. There were options to upgrade any of the excursions including sleeping in an igloo!

The hotel was great, the food was exactly what we needed. Some issues with the restaurant closing earlier due to Covid but we travel with an open and forgiving mind.

I have recommended this to so many people and talked about it non stop. Will be rebooking for 2024.

Attended the 4 night trip to Enotekio Jussantupa in January '22 and all I can say is WOW! We had a phenomenal experience with all of our activities from dog sledding to the igloo, snow shoe expedition (the hill sliding was exhilerating) and midnight expeditions. Every day we were exhausted (in a good way) and fulfilled by each of the activities. Deano was knowledgeable friendly and approachable as well as the other staff members who coudlnt do enough to enhance our experiences. we are already plannign our return in 2024!!

Did a trip to Lapland on January. Great venue, lovely food and the trips/activity were well organised and ran professionally. Would highly recommend these guys for a trip, will definitely be doing another one in the future.

This was my second visit with Transun to Arctic Finland and it was even better than before. Stayed 7 nights at the Davvi Lodge in a cabin. There was a group of 11 of us and everyone had a fantastic time. The activities were great and we had so much fun playing in the snow. Food was always different and always delicious. The scenery around is absolutely stunning and the best bit was we saw the Northern Lights 4 times during the week. Everything was well organised with friendly and knowledable staff. Highly recommend and such good value :-)

I had a very good experience in January of this year on a 3 night trip 'In Search of the Northern Lights.' We were lucky to see the Northern Lights but all of the other activities were fun and very enjoyable. I loved the cabin we stayed in and thought, for a short break, what great value the trip was. We are repeating again next year as we so enjoyed it. Thank you Transun.

Not so nice Northern Lights trip to Lapland with Transun. Dont waste your time and money.

My experience during the Northern Light trip to Lapland in February '22 (Enontekio, Jussantupa 3nights) has been quite disappointing. I am still confused with the quality of our activities...
Poorly organised experiences: Reindeer experience was 6min in sleigh around frozen lake. Done. Cross country skiing was my biggest shock which led me to this review. ON 2nd day our first activity was 7pm... without any additions and suggestions, no maps, no skis, or directions. And huskies farm was on leaving day before the retun flight. Everything was tick-done, tick-done.... I did not go to tick boxes: seen reindeer, seen dogs etc.

My trigger was skiing. I booked it as the morning was free and we needed to fill the time with whatever we can do in Lapland. No time wasters here!
2h activity: sorting boots for group of 6 people took 20mins. The boots were not the right sizes available so we got closest size available. Then walk to place where skis were left and sorting out ski sets.
So, what was the cross-country skiing experience for £75? – about 1hour 3"0mins with a basic ski set, alone on a road in the forest without maps and nobody guiding me… Well, I can do it in general, but what did I pay for? We were group of 6 peopele (max for the skiing). I was skiing alone because the rest of people were slow and i was cold.
I still can not get my head around the "activity" and pricing. They did not cover £5 for the "experince" from their advert.

I was told by our guide Jamie, that everybody always has very happy experiences and my feedback is rare but will not be ignored. So, hopefully I am the only one of the kind and transun will fix my disappointment quickly.
