Snow is falling tour! Amazing from start to finish! A VERY busy few days but everything is as so well organised, it runs like clockwork. The activities were second to none. The facilities at the activities were well thought out.
Worth paying the extra as an adult with children over 8 for the northern lights husky tour.
With persuasion (kids were reluctant as we’re already tired) and following the guides advice the igloo night was lovely, we all slept no bother, right through the night.
Food was excellent and plentiful.
Was absolutely amazing from start to end. The only slight disappointment was the northern lights didn’t make an appearance, sadly

I took my 10 year old son to lapland on Christmas eve with transun and it was excellent. The fight was delayed one hour but they postponed the return flight so we didn't lose any time there. James the representative was really good. We loved reindeer and husky ride and snowmobile ride. Went tobogganing. Food there and plane good. Saw santa too. Would highly recommend

Re hotel Davvi Arctic Star

The room stank of raw sewage. We complained on arrival but the fix didn’t work and the smell got worse. Eventually flushing the toilet caused foul water to come up through the shower plug. Complained again and eventually got moved to a much smaller, cheaper room.

In both rooms the heating was inadequate and potable heaters had to be handed. There were only single duvets on the double beds so we had to pile pure coats on our bed to keep warm. Bear in mind this is the arctic.

Staff were very apologetic. The area manager arrived on our last day and couldn’t offer us any compensation. He tried to blame his staff, which was grossly unfair. He admitted that he knew about the heating and sewage problems before we arrived and the hotel should not have been open.

We have written to Transun but had no response after ten days so now I’m putting my complaints on social media. I don’t like doing it but we should have been compensated and the hotel should not be taking paying guests.

Avoid this hotel.

The airline staff were rude and unhelpful the food on plane was frozen still. when getting to our accommodation it was totally unorganised we were told times we were leaving and for the elf party in our meeting then it turned out it wasn't that time!.the food kept running out very littlefor children to eat. My husband got a suit that was to small when asking for another he was told sorry we don't have anymore you size so didn't wear 1 the whole holiday! it got a 2 as santa himself as amazing

Absolutely amazing trip. We started off December in the most magical memorable amazing way possible. We have never seen such a beautiful picture perfect place. The surroundings were like looking at a Christmas card every where you turned. Very well organised. Staff very polite and helpful. Food was very good very filling and warm. We were delayed on both outbound and return flight which was frustrating but didn’t take away from the amazing experience we had. Take layers to wear and possibly some slippers to wear round the hotel. Be prepared to be constantly taking layers off and putting them on. Our daughter cried when it came to leave the huskies she loved them, very friendly and Ian is very knowledgeable. Reindeer ride was short but still magical. Santa well he’s the man himself he couldn’t be more perfect if you tried. (TIP!!! Take your child’s letter to Santa and give to the elves to pass to Santa before you go in!! My daughter’s face was a picture when he took it from his desk and showed her it!) she was amazed he knew so much about her. It was magical. Make sure you have really good gloves, hands and toes get so so cold so quickly. The best place on earth. Thank you transun for helping us make magical memories!!!

Amazing trip, there were a few delays there and back, the hotel is amazing and staff and reps were very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much, the food was very nice and was enough for everyone, you can keep getting more food if hungry during your time slot, the timetables are very clear, get to eat 3 times a day, you don’t get much time to relax unless eating because your always doing excursions which are amazing and lengthy. The hotel rooms are very clean and cozy. It’s only a 20 min walk to Sweden which is lovely to visit, Overall it’s definitely worth it and an amazing trip

Fantastic experience of a lifetime to Finnish Lapland

We took our children on the experience of a lifetime to Finnish Lapland on the “Snow is Falling” package. It was absolutely amazing to experience an authentic trip with lots of snowy activities in a small non commercial environment. From the chartered flights to the organised activities everything was well planned and there was no need to worry about anything! We loved it!

This company is a disgrace,they do not care in resort of your complaints and once back was told a response within 30days.

Took about 35days and that was with chasing them 2 times.

The response did not address half my issues and was just a load of dribble.

Do not give them the chance to ruin your holiday use a alternative tour company.

Great staff,both in UK to answer queries on the phone, to our travel reps at the resort. We did the 3 night northern lights experience. Reindeer sled, good fun, huskies...amazing. I was too nervous to go on my own so went on a sled with a guide. Snowmobile I also went on the sled behind the guide which was a great option for those that want to go out but don't want to have to drive a Snowmobile. Our only issue was an optional cross country skiing experience. Did not think the guides took into account the total lack of skiing knowledge of the group
Starting off on ice...several falls by several people and then the first bit of snow was uphill. Not enjoyable at all

I travelled solo to Finland with Transun in February. The experience was fantastic and I was really well looked after by the Transun rep and the team at the hotel. The rep seemed really excited when we told her what we’d got up to on the excursions. The hotel was really well placed and there was a visitors centre and a shop nearby. The excursions were fantastic, I had the opportunity to try snowshoeing, drove a snowmobile, went to reindeer camp and husky sledding! On my first day the excursion had to be postponed because of the weather, and all of the other excursions were rearranged so we didn’t miss out. I can’t recommend Transun enough!

We did a trip to Lapland in February to hopefully see the Northern Lights (we didn’t) but we had one of the best holidays ever and I would love to return. There were activities everyday, we did the reindeer sleigh ride which was OK, I just felt sorry for the reindeer having to pull some rather overweight people, the husky experience was was so much fun, again felt really sorry for the dogs even though they are very well loved after, the snowmobile for the Northern Lights and my favourite activity the walk across the lake to do the forest trek. The guide had so much knowledge of the forest and animals and the views were beautiful. I would definitely recommend Transun they were good value for money and their staff were very experienced and great fun.

We went to Finnish Lapland in February with transun and I can honestly say it was one of the most fantastic holidays I’ve had. We booked through Flitch Travel in Dunmow and everything was taken care of for us. When we arrived the organisation was fantastic, the trip was packed full of adventure for every level of skill, age and ability. Just superb. The family run hotel we used was lovely, the food was a little basic, but the staff and the warmth made up for it. Pop

Wow, wow, wow what an amazing experience. Just returned from a 7 night holiday to the Davvi Arctic Lodge with Transun and everything about it was superb. The accommodation was stunning. Staying in a log cabin was just beautiful, it was warm and well equipped and even had tea and coffee making facilities. A lovely touch. Every staff member we encountered was so wonderful, friendly and polite and a real asset to the company. The excursions were very well organised and wonderfully led by a knowledgeable group of guides. The food options were varied and plentiful with options for vegetarian and also Gluten Free which I thought was great considering it is in the Arctic Circle and might be difficult getting items in. The lasagne was absolutely delicious and a real treat.
I cannot fault this holiday at all in any way and would urge everyone to book with Transun.

I returned from 7 nights at the Davvi Arctic Lodge in February.
I had the most amazing holiday.
The aurora was visible every night.
The hotel was comfortable and warm and homely with good food , plenty of choice and plenty of quantity too.
All the activities were great experiences , huskies, reindeer, snow shoes and snow mobiles too.
The Transun staff were very helpful and professional.
Traveling from a local airport was so much more convenient and easy too.
I had an amazing time.
I booked the trip through Fred Olsen who are a most helpful travel agent too.

We have recently returned from a truly magical 3 night break to Finland with Transun Holidays. The holiday was superb from start to finish. We booked via an agent who were great but I also spoke to Transun direct as I had numerous questions. The booking staff were pleasant and happy to answer all my queries. The holiday itself was full, with lots of well organised activities. The hotel was cute and cosy just what you would want from a hotel nestled in the arctic circle. The hotel staff couldn't do enough for you, the location was perfect and the food was varied and plentiful. I was slightly worried as there were 3 vegetarians in our party of 4. Needn't have worried though as we just needed to ask and a vegetarian option was brought to us. All the soup options were also vegetarian.
We were also blessed with the Northern Lights on 2 of the 3 nights. What more could we ask for.
Thank you Transun for a wonderful holiday, we are hoping to return.

I have just returned from a three night Northern Lights Experience at the Davi Acrtic Lodge with a group of 14 friends. The whole thing was amazing from start to finish - all extremely well organised by Transun and thoroughly enjoyable.

Included in the package we had full board for the full duration, loan of thermal suits & boots, Call of the Wild Husky Safari (my favourite part) an evening trek through the forest, a visit to the Reindeer Camp and a snowmobile safari.

Ten of us took the optional excursion to the Ice Hotel, which sounded expensive at £120 per person but was honestly worth every penny so I would highly recommend it. The journey through the stunningly beautiful Swedish countryside was amazing and we had the added bonus of seeing a herd of wild reindeer on the way out and back.

We had absolutely perfect weather - wall to wall sunshine with blue skies and fresh, pristine snow each morning. There was also about twelve hours of daylight each day, which I preferred to the much shorter days you experience in November/December. Daytime temperatures were about -5 on Friday and Saturday but dropped to about -17 on Sunday but it felt colder because of the slight wind. I strongly advise taking a balaclava to cover your face for the snowmobile .

All in all a great trip.

**Very underwhelming 3 day trip!**
Lovely resort and nice accommodation
Our party was made up of 4 Adults and 2 children and apart from the booked excursions which laated an hour there was nothing to do!

We were left in our cabins with no plan for the 3 days and no way of entertaining ourselves!

The resort was not decorated and no entertainment was put on for the children. A few plastic sledges were available if you were lucky to grab one.

The holiday cost in excess of £10k and we all got cabin fever!

The 3 representatives planned nothing for the children to do!
Children were bored, adults were bored - where was the magic??
