In my opinion from what I experienced the animals look under fed and mistreated please do not support this.

This is the only place I’ve seen scared and nervous reindeers and the trip is awful anyway

A week ago today we set off on the Northern Lights tour from Leeds Bradford and still amazed at all the wonderful memories we were able to make in the 3 nights we were away.
The information and help from Transun before we left the UK was excellent and whilst in resort we were well looked after by the instructors.
Accommodation at Davvi Arctic Lodge is basic but totally adequate. Options to upgrade were good.
Excursions were spaced out over the 3 nights and meal times staggered to allow early/late dining between all groups there.
Staff were extremely helpful and smiley.
Would highly recommend.

Just home from an amazing weekend staying at the Davvi Arctic Lodge on the Northern Lights trip.
We stayed in the cabins which are cosy & comfortable.
The food was good. Not a huge selection but plenty of it & always hot.
The staff at the hotel & running the activities were super friendly & knowledgeable.
The excursions were brilliant.
Well organised. Enough time on each one. All great experiences.
Overall a fabulous weekend & would definitely go again .

We've just flown back to Norwich from Enontekio after a 4 day Arctic Adventure with Transun.

We had the best holiday we've ever had. Life in the UK after Finland will never be the same again.

Our Transun hotel live-in rep, Lisa, made everything so easy.

There are now too many good memories that are now burned into my brain.

The trip to Hetta Huskies and "mushing" a dog team; the midnight Snowmobile ride across the frozen lake into Sweden and seeing the Northern Lights; the reindeer sled ride, etc.

At 68 we were both concerned at what we had booked. An adventure well outside our normal comfort zone in the Arctic Circle.

We were never cold in the clothing Transun loaned us and found every day enjoyable with the activity guides.

Our family run hotel was great and all Finnish people were great to be with.

Boy what an experience.

We loved Finland and are now thinking very differently about weather warnings, travel warnings, potholes, etc in England.

Highly recommended.

What a fabulous 4 days we had on our Northern Lights trip with Transun. As a travel agent with 37 years experience in travel, this trip was excellent, such good value for money, so many inclusions too, fabulous Transun/Davvi staff in resort. I have booked over 20 clients on these trips now and the feedback has been excellent from all. It was so good I want to do it all over again!!

Wow! I didn’t know what to expect from my trip and it didn’t disappoint! The organisation from Transun was utterly seamless, the Cabins were picture perfect and the food plentiful and delicious! Finland is so very beautiful and this tour offers several opportunities to enjoy it. We loved going on the snowmobile, seeing the northern lights and a particular highlight was the visit to a traditional reindeer farm. There is no doubt it is extremely cold but you are given suits and boots and even an extra coat if you still need it! We had a medical emergency whilst there and Transun organised everything for us, even lunch near the hospital and transportation back to the resort which was over 2 hours away. If you are thinking about going on Transun Snowmobile Voyage.. don’t delay.. this is truly a trip of a lifetime .. although I am tempted to do it again!

We did the 4 day trip to the Davvi Arctic Lodge, our second trip there. The Davvi is fantastic and the experiences are excellent. We have recommended Transun and this trip to several friends but then…

On our latest trip there was an administrative mess-up by resort staff and we were unable to do the Northern Lights Snowmobile activity. We spoke to the local team about a refund for the activity - they couldn’t have been more helpful. A local manager, Aleks, came to our lodge personally to tell us she had investigated the failure, admitted it was all Transun’s fault. Due to a water leak at a sister hotel our activity had been rescheduled but they forgot to tell us. She said write to customer services, they’ll ask me to conform and you’ll have a refund in no time. Aleks gave us a piece of paper with her name and the email address and we thought it would be easy from there but alas no.
We emailed customer services in the UK that evening and of course they just go into “Robot mode” - we have 28 days to respond, we cannot possibly talk to you, we need to make investigations - all the usual blocking and blustering techniques.

Fortunately I kept my contemporaneous notes for the meeting with Aleks when she admitted full liability so if Transun don’t respond, ABTA or the small claims court will.

It is so sad that a wonderful resort and activities is supported by such an awful customer service team. I took Aleks on trust and in good faith.

So go on the trip, it’s great, but if anything goes wrong, keep notes, receipts, photographs and drawings, because customer service are going to fight you.

I had a 3 night adult stay, it was the most incredible experience I have ever had. I never stopped smiling. I am planning on returning again this year with my children.

Had the most amazing artic adventure at Davvi lodge via Transun. Already looking at returning next year.
Excursions were amazing. In our free time we walked to Sweden, visited the famous Coca Cola church, went to the view point up the hill, enjoyed the sauna. Food decent and lots of it. I could have stayed longer. Staff helpful. Flight ok. It was COLD!! Suits and boots were great. I wouldn’t want to take small children but it was perfect for us (couple). Cabins were cosy.

We have just returned from a 4 day trip over Christmas, a trip that was meant to be the most magical experience for our family, which has sadly left my 7 year old twins questioning the very magic of Christmas. the exact opposite of what we were hoping for!

I don't even know where to start with this review. The journey here was boring, nothing festive on the flight or transfer. The excursions are short, and felt very rushed. We got less that 5 minutes with Santa despite visiting him on Christmas eve and the gifts were average at best.

The husky excursion that we were told would be a full experience lasted 10 minutes, where the huskys pulled us on a sledge across a frozen lake. To make matters worse another family fell into the frozen lake which was not marked and were terrified for their lives as their 2 year old struggled to stay on the ice while they were sinking, thankfully another family saw them and rescued them as there were no staff anywhere.

Our 'reindeer excursion' lasted 15 minutes, we were pulled on a sledge by 2 reindeer who were not introduced and were unable to pet them or see santas other reindeer. Our twins spent less than 5 minutes with santa, there were no christmas lights, we were left to walk to santa's cabin alone no elves or anything else to make the experience feel special and nothing about the day (Christmas Eve) felt magical.

Christmas Day was even worse, no acknowledgement that it was Christmas. our activity for the day was snowmobiling which was fun for the adults, boring for the children who were pulled around on a sledge for over an hour leading to most of them falling asleep. The icing on the cake was when a blanket was thrown over us which was clearly a reindeer skin with the eyes and mouth sown shut, which I am sure is going to give my 7 year olds nightmares for weeks!

Despite asking the travel reps what was planned on multiple occasions I kept being told free time which is basically sledging, yet half the sledges were broken so we couldnt even do that half the time.

For a trip aimed at children there was nothing at all for children here, to say I am disappointed is a huge understatement and I would encourage anyone with children NOT to go on this trip. I am honestly at a loss for words at how disappointing this trip has been.

Flew from Humberside with EnterAir …: comfortable flight …. I think the cabin crew could have been a little more festive bearing in mind the type of trip it was …. The boot and suit set up was good and that staff brilliant especially with the children …. The resort itself was magical …. No queuing…. Polite and courteous staff …. Santa was lovely …. The meal was more than adequate …. Hannah our tour guide was amazing ….. friendly and informative ….. all in all the best day …. My grandchildren loved the experience and we made memories to last a lifetime …. Thank you Transun x

Transun give you the true Lapland experience and will completely look after you from start to finish. Friendly representatives in resort and amazing local excursions.
A huge highlight for us as animal lovers was the Hetta Huskies experience from walking around meeting the animals to the exciting experience of riding the sleigh. I loved seeing how excited and well cared for all these dogs are and they also rescue dogs and gave them a happy life. The hotels and local suppliers used are great and the Snowmobile Safari is amazing. Seeing the northern lights over a frozen lake in Finland then driving a snowmobile through the forest on Christmas Day was a moment our family and friends will never forget. Transun offer regional flights and even in those worst case moments of bad weather at Leeds and flights unable to land will ensure without added delay that you are safely returned to your point of Origin with no worries or stress. Transun are reliable and dedicated in giving the ultimate true Lapland experience.

Have just returned from Hetta and had a magical time. I was worried as Transun don't seem to have much information available online and some reviews are terrible.

From start to finish Transun we're superb and the Santa experience was amazing. Snowmobile, huskies, reindeer, snow castle, sledging.......you guys smashed it.

I recently went on the Transun Snowmobile Voyager, and it was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! Everything was so well-organised, and the trip was fantastic from the moment we arrived in Lapland.

The snowmobile safaris were a real highlight and the Sami reindeer experience was also fascinating which gave us a true taste of local culture and traditions.

The Rakka Hotel was cosy and welcoming, and the full-board meals were all delicious made with fresh, good quality ingredients. We were provided with thermal suits and boots which kept us warm and comfortable throughout the trip.

The team at Transun were amazing – helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything ran smoothly.

This was a bucket-list trip for me, and it exceeded all my expectations. I can’t recommend it enough! Thank you, Transun, for creating such a magical experience. ❄️🌟

I’ve just returned after taking a group out to Lapland on the festive lights tour staying at Davvi star, we had a amazing time, we had the coldest day so far @ -36 but we still got out and enjoyed the days activities, we didn’t book extra tours so took ourselves out walking into town and to explore!
Talking to guests they all loved it.. only minor niggles which are some rooms were cold, transfer info to shops not on board .. the airline didn’t provide a veggie meal that I had requested and no spare ..

but everyone had a fantastic time ..

Our highlight and my son of 15 was the huskies .. amazing experience!!!!

Memories made that will last forever…

We have recently returned from the 3 night Santas on his way trip staying at Hotel Hetta Majatalo. I took my daughter and two grandchildren aged 10 and 13 who were on the older end of the other children attending the trip. We had the most magical time and a trip which we will always remember. Flying directly to the north of Finland from a local airport meant it gave us more time in location. All the organised activities were well organised and great experiences with plenty of time and the two Transun Reps at our hotel were readily available, cheerful, knowledgable and extremely helpful. In addition to the organised parts of the trip we saw the northern lights, found some great sledging locations, saw groups of reindeer, had a sauna,visited a kota for hot chocolate and fresh donuts ( learnt a lot about the local culture from the lady who owned it), and walked in the village. Highlights of the organised part of the trip were the reindeer ride through the forest, toasting marshmallows on an outdoor fire pit and helping to put the huskies away after our husky mushing experience. It all felt like we were in authentic Lapland - there was nothing commercialised about it at all. I’m already looking at their other trips for 2026.

Had read some bad reviews and panicked a little but have to say the day trip was fantastic.
Hannah ( our Christmas cracker guide) was so organised. Quick and simple journey to change into snow suits and boots then onto Santas village.
Not commercial, out in the woods and absolutely gorgeous. No issues with food/drinks/toilets lovely and clean and beautiful magical surroundings. Plenty of fire pits to keep warm. No rush for activities and a lovely visit to Santa. Happy children and adults everywhere!

We had a wonderful trip with Transun staying at Rakka Hotel. Very well organised with snowsuits/boots. The snowmobile trips and guides were excellent, felt very safe. Very impressed with hotel -contemporary and comfortable-food was amazing!! All in all a truly wonderful experience-I am recommending to everyone!

Bought holiday to lapland ,from begging to end lovely staff ,great holiday

So disappointing with customer care. Day drip to Lapland was cancelled less than 24 hours before flight, understandable due to weather.
I was asked within 3 days to either get a refund or book the following year. As I thought there was no other options I rebooked.
Finding out later there are trips else where available through the travel agent I booked with I asked for a refund to which they point blank said no it’s been transferred - sorry but I have a heart broken 5 year old that asks daily to go and can not afford to book another trip. Shame on you Transun for taking away a child’s magical trip. Where is your compassion!
