Responsive Support + Unexpected Milestone Rewards
Customer service has always been great and responsive; every time I've reached out, the team has been quick to help and genuinely seems to care about getting it right. The free "Tune Up" I received after hitting 10 million lbs lifted was amazing and completely unexpected; it's a small gesture that made me feel recognized for sticking with the program, not just treated like a subscription number.
Beyond that, the smart resistance and progress tracking take the guesswork out of training. I never have to wonder when to increase weight; Tonal handles that automatically, which is something I never got from free weights alone. The coaches are excellent too, consistently pushing me in a way that feels like having a real personal trainer at home.

Handles broke after two years
Handles broke after two years, formal wont replace. Reached out to them multiple times to make it right, they wanted to charge me $300 for new handles.

Machine is great. Programs are fabulous. We’ve had it for 18 months and use it almost everyday!! My only suggestion would be to have maintenance calls available to schedule. Like have trained techs come out to do a “tune up” if the customer desired.

Well worth the investment
I’ve owned my Tonal for five years, and it has completely changed my relationship with exercise.
I could never maintain a consistent workout schedule at a traditional gym. Packing a gym bag, driving there, working out in a crowd, and frequently finding the equipment I needed already occupied gave me plenty of easy excuses not to go. With Tonal at hom, that has disappeared. I now work out three to five times a week and have maintained great physical shape.
The privacy is another major benefit. I can concentrate fully on my workout—with plenty of grunting and groaning—without worrying about anyone around me.
My one criticism is that Tonal needs a clear, easily accessible index explaining its commonly used terms and settings. Even after five years, I’m sometimes unclear about features mentioned during a set, such as “chains,” and how they affect the exercise.
That said, I remain a huge fan. Tonal is the best investment I’ve made since buying my house—and I’m told I look years younger than my age. I credit much of that to the strength and consistency Tonal has helped me build.

Not Worth It
I don’t like the concept, without a subscription it just a simple machine that you can buy at much cheaper price.
And paying 60$ a month, I prefer to go to a gym. I really didn’t find value unless.

LOVE my Tonal!
Out of all of the fitness equipment and subscriptions I have bought over the last 5-10 years, Tonal is the only one that made a direct impact on our health. Ever since we purchased the machine in 2021 we have consistently trained. The quality of the programs and workouts is great and we never had any issues with the hardware. We enjoy Tonal so much we upgraded to Tonal 2.

The workout machine you will actually stick with…
I have had so many workout machines and devices over the years that I’ve lost count. All of them ended up just rusting in my basement until I finally unloaded them. But the Tonal is the only one that I have consistently used for over a year now because it is so versatile, effective and engaging. I feel like I’m working out with a personal coach every time I use it!

Great workout machine
I prefer to workout at home where I don't have to wait or fight for a machine! I love the instructors on the workouts or doing my own thing and being able to pre-setup a custom workout from my phone is awesome.

I’ve always loved using my Tonal. We had some tech issues at the end of last year/early this year. We upgraded and then had more tech issues. But service was sent out and it all seems to be resolved at this point. Customer service worked very hard with us to figure out the issue and get it fixed. It’s been smooth sailing since!
