I used the chat box to ask for help with an order, and the customer service was brilliant! I was looking for an end-of-line item, they checked the stockroom, found the item I wanted despite it no longer being on the website, emailed me an invoice and put the order through there and then! The whole process was less than ten minutes start-to-finish, it was great. (And the product was great!)

Their sizing calculator seems WAY off. I bought the Garment Dyed Linen Button Front Dress in small using their size chart (and going off the model who looks smaller in size than me) and it is HUGE - looks like a hospital gown.

It is a shame because the colour is gorgeous.

The shipping charge was $55NZD, and if I want to return it, it will cost me another $55 in shipping. For the prices they charge the shipping fee is honestly absurd.

I wouldn't recommend buying from them if you can't try it on - their default response seems to be to refer to the size guide. You'd think for a high end store they would be doing custom size guides for their different pieces.

I have been a loyal Toast customer for many years. I retuned 2 jumpers in 1 bag via Royal Mail. i was only refunded for 1 jumper. When I emailed to say I returned 2 jumpers, I was told it wasn't received by the warehouse and it was insinuated I was lying. I was then told this has happened before and if it happened again I would not be refunded. This was a surprise as I had no recollection of this. I had never received any emails to say an item returned was missing. There is clearly an issue at their warehouse (returned items not being logged or possibly theft) and rather than accepting that this is their fault, Toast accuses loyal customers of theft. I am quite upset about my treatment, and am reluctant to make any further online orders. There is no Toast shop in my county and therefore I can only order online to try on items.

I purchased a pair of slippers but only started wearing them some time later. Sadly, after only a matter of weeks, they developed a serious fault. I contacted TOAST as the slippers were a reputable and premium brand. Kurt and the team issued a full refund. I could not fault their customer service team. Reassuring to know good manners and service is not dead.

I ordered a dress, which arrived promptly and packed in non plastic packaging. The day it arrived I noticed it had been reduced. I emailed just to explain my disappointment and I had a reply to refund me the further discount. Wonderful customer service and ethos, oh, and great clothing 😊

I am new to Toast and recently made 2 separate orders (neither being over the threshold for free shipping). Both orders were shipped domestically within the US--from Toast shops in New York to Delaware which is a relatively close distance. I was charged for international express shipping and the items were shipped UPS Ground Saver. The cost difference between Intl Express and Domestic Ground is appreciable. Toast now has 8 shops in the US and has plans of expanding. The shipping policy stated on their website is misleading stating that shipments will be shipped Intl Express with no mention of delivery exceptions for inventory stock in the US. I believe I overpaid shipping by approximately $25 for the 2 orders. Adds up over time...

Love this company have bought lots of items this season and returned a number of items too. All very smooth. Sizing can be hard to guage though. Items are usually interesting and they do great jumpsuits.

The reply to my query was swift and very helpful.

I have found Toast Customer Services Department to be excellent. They are always quick to reply and offer helpful advice.

This first (and last) purchase was a disaster from start to finish. I bought XL t-shirts and was shocked that such a renowned company doesn't understand proper size grading — they simply applied a linear scaling, resulting in sleeveless tops with extra fabric flapping under the arms. Additionally, to pay for the return, I had no option other than giving my credit card number directly, which I don't consider secure. On top of that, I'm sitting here waiting for the package pick-up, losing a full day of work, because coordination with DHL is completely absent — the promised pick-up window of 11am-1pm turned out to be, in reality, 11am-7pm. A big no on every front for me.

Customer service was very prompt in answering my query.
