Had solar and battery system installed on the 2nd February. Went into administration in April. Scaffolding was up for 14 weeks after completion. No handover package received. Communication unbelievably bad. Untill they were after payments. I am trying to find out who the administrators are if anyone can help

4 different teams on my house doing my wall insulation. I wasn’t happy and got an independent person to come and look at it 25 faults were found . I wasn’t paying my final bill till it was all out right , got told by Anthony the MD your not being fair and I could loose my Buisness. Do the job properly then !
Tried the scare tactics with a gang of lads coming round !! Didn’t work 👊🏻. And like so many on here Iv been ringing and all phones off 📵, not suprised , wonder if my 20 year warranty is even valid .

Delays from the Start!! Now gone Bust ,left me with a system Not Working ??.

Just had confirmation that the company has gone into liquidation from NAPIT, Still no MCS and i guess i wont be getting one

They've ceased training, i have no handover pack and no certificate (MCS) so ive been totally ripped off.

Ive put a complaint in with NAPIT to start with lets see how it goes.

Luckily for now the panels are charing both of my cars but when it gets sunnier ill be giving the electricty company free energy. But hopefully by then something is sorted and i have the certificates.

We have tried all the phone numbers we have, including mobile numbers and all are either disconnected or unanswered.
We visited their offices in Nottingham today to find them locked and their Vans outside with flat tyres. We also spoke with the owners of the building who said that they have not seen anyone for several weeks and they have left owing months of rent.
To cap it off, we cannot claim on the HIES insurance for unfinished/unsatisfactory work at this time as Eco Roof still have an active status at companies house.
I am also told by HIES that they cancelled their membership at the start of March.

Struggling to get hold of this company after paying them a lot of money for installation of solar panels that hasn't happened.

the installation happened eventually but after 3 month i still dont have a certificate so i can get paid for my exports. they wont answer the phone or reply to emails. Please dont use this company they are dreadful at customer after sales service

From start to finish a professional job really happy with the external wall insulation the brick effect is amazing and the heating cost have dropped significantly

Had my external walls insulated. The install team was great. Everything went good except for the weather what couldn’t be avoided. Other than that the install went great. Final product looks amazing would recommend.

Was having some external insulation work done and paid £2800 deposit in December but unfortunately there had been a unexpected illness in the family and couldn’t have the work done in February, I’ve now been chasing my deposit back now for over 6weeks and I keep promises from Tony that it would be in my bank on several occasions, this man is a blatant liar!!! I’ve reported them to the fraud department at my bank and also reported them to Action fraud UK

After paying the deposit (£2800), communication almost stopped, no work was done and no help was provided to support local planning application. We then requested contract cancellation. After two months of chasing, and having to escalate to Vaillant and HIES, the money was eventually returned. Many missed promises and very poor customer handling. Kyle did try his best to help - thank you.

• The install happened in Nov 2023. The first dates of my installation came and went without anybody turning up nor anyone from the company calling me to advise that they couldn’t meet the dates.
• After chasing for another set of dates the solar panel installers and electrician were friendly and worked hard. This review is not a reflection on them.
• Having asked for a microinverter system with a storage battery, the salesperson specified a battery which is not compatible with the app that monitors the solar panels, something that was not raised as a drawback during the sales process and only became apparent once the equipment was installed.
• Aside from the system being inconvenient to monitor, the app for the solar panels shows spurious information. For example, it shows that the system is generating electricity at night and when I switch the oven on, the app shows the solar generation going up at the same time.
• After months of complaining and getting nowhere, the contractor working on the install told me last week that he’d informed the company in December 2023 shortly after the install, and again in February 2024, that he believed the CT clamps were installed the wrong way around. A later email on the 22nd Feb from a new company spokesperson said that they strongly disagree that my system is not working.
• I have shown them evidence in the form of screen shots and videos to demonstrate the incorrect data reporting but instead of trying to help or even apologising, they have simply asked me to find an electrician to investigate and to let them know the outcome.
• My e-mails often go unanswered and the office phone is rarely answered. I’ve recently called in 23 times across a period of a week and nobody has picked up.
• What should have been an exciting project on our journey to a more sustainable home has been stressful and frustrating. I have now engaged another company to come and get my system working correctly, and although it’s costing me money to get it sorted, it’s a relief not to have to deal with Eco Roof and Wall any more.

Despite some hiccups along the way Brian and the team went out of their way to fix some problems that came up. Anthony one of the Directors even called in to make sure that we were getting the level of service that was required. Overall we had prompt responses to calls and enquiries. Mateus, one of the plumbers was even here till gone 9 pm to complete some work on the day it was due.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY I have called 3 times now for a quotation and still not received a phone call back. Spoke to a very rude and obnoxious male on the third call. They need to be training there staff up in customer services. Shocking service

Less shady than most solar companies,
They will tell you how great and well respected they are, they will hard sell like everyone else, they will promise swift and insured installation.
In reality the cool off period expires before the survey team inspect your property, the company have a big problem with treating their customers as their priority (every single time they contacted me they spelt my name differently).
The install of a 5k pv system took an astonishing 128 days from signing the contract to having a fully functional system, they missed the agreed install date and I had to chase them to find out their schedule, to which I was told they are waiting for suppliers, this was despite assuring me the products were available for a swift install. They need to work on their communication, the only stick you have to move them along is your final payment, make sure everything works properly before you make that final payment, you won’t see them for dust after that. Having said all of that I am happy with the product and the way the install team swiftly and carefully completed their tasks, I really want to give them a better score as they are so close to being a very good company, they just have to not BS their customers

I have just had solar panels and battery storage installed by The Eco Roof and Wall Company.

The company had replied straight away to my initial email enquiry, and the salesman arrived having already created a full costed report using satellite images of the roof and estimates of current electricity usage. He was able to answer all my questions, and followed up a few days later with a call. There was no hard sell or pressure on me, and I liked that it was a local company.

A few weeks later the surveyor came to visit my property and check the roof was suitable.

The initial date for installation was predicated to be 3 or 4 months away, but it in the end was nearly 6 months. It seems this was due to supply chain issues out of the company's control which I don't mind, but communication during this period could have been better.

Once installation actually went ahead it was all fitted really efficiently. There were a couple of last minute problems with the wrong brackets being delivered, but the panel fitters and then the electricians worked flat out to get it all up and running within a week from the scaffolding going up.

Communication has been fine since then, they've been really good at follow up care, asking for feedback, chasing up the scaffolders, sorting snagging issues quickly. If they have learnt from the feedback then new customers should expect 5 star service all the way through.

Overall I'm really happy with the system and would recommend The Eco Wall and Roof Company.

We had a visit today from Imran and Clare to discuss a quote for a solar and battery installation. They were punctual, friendly and knowledgable and took plenty of time to discuss our needs and answer any questions we had (which was a lot, as I had already been plowing through technical details of our requirements for many weeks and had a lot of questions). Initially we discussed our current energy consumption, what I wanted from the system and Imran took plenty of time to fully understand our needs. His knowledge of the systems for install was impressive and his proposed system was significantly less than what we thought we needed, so considerable unnecessary expense saved for us there. There as no hard sell and we had a frank discussion on why certain aspects of the system were required and why our initial thoughts would have meant a larger than necessary system (and expense). Waiting on other suppliers to respond with their quotes before proceeding further, but I do consider Eco as one of our potential preferred options when we do proceed in the coming weeks.
