I have used Tailor Made Rail several times over the years and have never been disappointed with the service I receive. The staff are all efficient, friendly and helpful. They appear very knowledgeable about hotels and countries. I feel listened to and that my tastes and wishes are understood and matched with helpful suggestions. When trains have been delayed or cancelled they are immediately on the phone offering alternatives.
I heartedly recommend them.

We recently travelled by train from London to Switzerland, Venice, Austria, Nuremberg, and Brussels — all arranged by Tailor Made Rail. The service was excellent from start to finish. Communication was clear, timely, and reassuring, making what could have been a complicated itinerary completely stress-free.

The rail journeys themselves were unforgettable. Travelling First Class on the Glacier Express was a real highlight, with panoramic views of the Alps making for an incredible experience. The Railjet through the Brenner Pass was equally impressive, combining comfort with some of the most spectacular scenery in Europe. Arriving in Venice by train was also magical, with the city’s canals and architecture providing a perfect contrast to the mountain landscapes.

Accommodation throughout was first class — comfortable, well located, and seamlessly arranged. Tip for future travellers: consider breaking up the journey from the UK to Switzerland, as four trains in one day made for a long and tiring start.

Overall, Tailor Made Rail exceeded expectations, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone planning a European rail adventure

Tailor Made organised our trip very well. The rail travel, which involved 7 cities across Europe, went smoothly other than a couple of wrinkles which were outwith their control. They selected decent hotels for us to stay in. We were first class customers and would like to have had a little bit information about what our tickets got us. For example, we were allowed access to some station lounges but not others. Apart from that a good trip and Tailor Made responded quickly to any problems we had en route. I would consider another rail trip with them in the future.

Tailor Made Rail does exactly what it says on the tin: tailors your journey and stay to fit your needs. We were very pleased with the arrangements TMR made for us, which accommodated a meeting we were attending in S Austria. Everything went very smoothly; all connections worked (which is, of course, outside TMR's control!) and the hotels were lovely. All information we clear and efficient.

Everything went like clockwork, the planning was brilliant and hotels very close to the railway stations.

This company continues to give a great personal service to make one's travel as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

I feel they need to make it clear that First Class in Europe is not always the top class available so that one can make the choice.

Nothing was too much trouble. I needed walking through the process of getting the tickets onto the interrail app. The young lady who walked me through had the patience of a saint.

Our 3rd year in a row travelling with Tailor Made Rail, and would recommend very highly. The attention to detail in setting up the intererary prior to the holiday is reflected in the hassle free travel during the holiday. We have a lot of changes in venue and accommodation during our trips, and all has always run smoothly.

Friendly and helpful - but didn't give us quite what we wanted.
They found routes and times we could have found for ourselves - but they didn't offer slightly more obscure routes whose timings would have suited us better....we found out about them later!

This was our second trip arranged by Tailor Made Rail, and it was absolutely fantastic. We had a few specific requests, and true to their name, the team tailored everything perfectly to our needs. We’re already browsing destinations for next year—it’s become a bit of a tradition now!

Well organised travel plans. We had wanted to go by train to Italy but found the options so confusing. TailormadeRail made everything accessible and well oiled. They chose and booked our travel, accommodation and car hire.

There was a minor issue travelling between Florence and Siena because of a line closure. On reflection we should have been advised to go by coach for an hour rather than the much longer rail travel we followed.

The car hire chosen in Siena was perfect

The hotel in Strasbourg was perfect in all ways. The hotel in Milan was well chosen for proximity to station. The hotel in Pisa was nice but a little away from both the station and tourist areas. On reflection we should have advised that we wanted to be near tourist areas. On the other hand that would have been more expensive.

I have used TMR twice now and fins their service excellent. Arranging rail travel and hotels when travelling around europe is possible to do on your own, of course, but if you are planning multi city visits it can be extraordinarily complex and time consuming. TMR takes all that on board for a reasonable price, and the hotels they choose are excellent. They are always helpful when contacted, both before the trip and even during it. I have not experienced any problems with their organising of my trips

We gave TMR a rough outline of the trip we were thinking of doing and we received an itinerary within a day. After a few tweaks we settled on a final plan and they did all the bookings (hotels, flight and trains). The tickets arrived with enough information as to how to use the rail passes and we had a great holiday. Whilst we were away they contacted us to inform us that one of our travel days was affected by a national strike and they seamlessly provided alternative travel plans. Great to have the back up.

Excelent service.
The staff responded very promptly to any request/adjustment during the planning stage.
The journey ran like clockwork and the hotels chosen were within 5-10 minutes walk of each station.
We would definitely recommend TMR to anyone.

Overall a very good trip. Obtaining a metro ticket at Gare du Nord was a challenge, mainly due to ticket machines on a go slow. Hotel Bristol in Avignon, was our choice however worth noting the breakfast is poor, location is excellent! Hotel Residence In Narbonne is a real gem.

We had a marvellous holiday. The price was good and the itinerary excellent. Booking was easy and the staff were very helpful when we needed to make alterations to dates. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

All went extremely smoothly. Problem with first hotel dealt with on site. Melissa arranged alternative transport because of a strike of which we were unaware. Without her involvement the whole journey to Dijon could have been a nightmare - very grateful
