Multiple repeat, disjointed requests for documents. A very small return. Return then reclaimed by HMRC,also had to repay portion taken by Swift Refunds.
On contacting HMRC to return to paye status and remove Swift as an agent, I was informed Swift had already been removed as they “are a majorly fraudulent company “. Swift refunds are now threatening a CCJ for work I did not request.

Swift Refunds offered to help me reclaim expenses against my tax code. To do this I would have had to have kept receipts for five years, of course I hadn't. End result HMRC took it back . The whole experience has cost me money, several hours of my time repeatedly submitting the same documents. I stated that I do not wish to use their services again (it really isn't suitable for my situation). I am now receiving demands for payment for work which I did not ask.

Don't tell you everything - then hmrc come calling , avoid avoid avoid !!!!

Stay away from this company it's one big scam they may get you a refund but hmrc will come for more than what u get back and swifts guarantee of if hmrc ask questions they will cover the cost it 1 big lie . They want more n more out of u till u can give no more information and then they make it out like its your problem . Avoid at all costs . They'll then claim like they have in their reply that its HMRC but its swift looking for things u cannot provide and then swift that blame you and say theirs nothing they can do . When I spoke with HMRC they told me to avoid companies like swift as its more than likely a scam they've have loads of wrong claims from swift

Don’t use this so called firm they will get you into debt with the taxman not get you a refund they get paid regardless it’s all a con

ive been using swift refunds for the past 2 years and everything has always been straight forward and each time ive had someone contact me to go through all my transactions to make sure that everything had been included.
Unfortunately this year has not been the case. Ive sent all my information over and also sent bank statements as requested only to be bombarded with email from someone called Demi Edwards demanding that I pay them money do to how they have calculated my tax return.
Not once has Demi contacted me to go through any payments to make sure everything has been included but instead I am now getting threatening emails saying that they will pass me onto a debt collector if I don't pay them for something I don't even know that has been calculated correctly.
I'm horrified about the communication ive received this time around and I will never use this company again or recommend any friends like I have done in the past!

Started doing my tax return ,they didn't finish my tax return , I just got lumbered with all the paper work from the tax man, they threatened me with legal action, I paid the money, then they did not do my tax return, here I am a year later with a changed tax code , getting robbed by the tax man off the back of their intervention leaving me to sort out the taxt returns for the years they didn't do. Absolutely fuming with this joke of a company. They probably good if its straight forward, but if it's not they will leave you in a mess sorting out the mess they created , £280 out of pocket. No rebate. And different more expensive tax code . I've been informed by hmrc I can claim it back. Just more paper work. Honestly do not use this company, it's been one of the worse decisions I've made in a long time, spoke to several other engineers in my position and few (not all) have experienced something similar . Stay clear .

Avoid this Company they string you along then ask you for information that is impossible to get then when you can't get it hit you with a charge even after changing tax returns and making me pay a tax bill that I've never had before.

l contacted swift to get tax refund on 4 years back dated meals as l work from a van not self employed, they never explained that the government were clamping down on this asking for reciepts going back 4 years ,the government started this in august 2024 ,yet l started my claim Jan 2025,so its so difficult to get that amount of info,they stated that they were charging me a fee for the work they had done for me ,not a lot in my view l had to send all the statments get the utr number and an SO number ,lf swift had explained at the beginning that the government was clapping down on the claims by making it impossable to get the reciepts l would not of bothered, its a complete scam they are running and wish l could contact some authority to report them so beware of this

3rd time using this company very helpful and informative miro answered all my questions ,will use again
