Suncoast is the best for all my banking needs. After using several banks over the years I have never experienced anything like Suncoast. The best people work at my branch.

I opened an account online following an ad on Facebook. I chosed Suncoast Online because of the convince of do business on the Application because the closest branch is far away from my home.
I deposited money on my new account and suddenly they just blocked and frozed my account. I contacted customer service phone number,they were rude and they told me, I have to go in person to their branch in order to my account be available again.I had the feeling of being treated like someone who was doing something illegal.
Now my account still blocked and frozed.
Be aware if you have plans to open an account with SunCoast, your money may be blocked when you most needed.
Really bad experience.I don't know if they use the same process with everyone or was selective, I'm Hispanic.
Worst banking experience ever
Worst banking experience ever. I sold a car through them to a member. Their company logo promises that a customer gets good service where I want it, how I want it and where I want it. They have failed miserably on all 3. I have yet to get my check for the completed transaction although it has been 9 days. Calling is an absolute nightmare! You cannot call a branch. You must go through a call center. You have to answer a robot numerous times before talking to a real person. When you do get a real person, they do not have the phone number to the branch where you can call. You let them do the calling for you. Therefore you have to spend time telling the call center the reason for the call so they can call the branch and tell them the same thing. Today again I called about my check and they could not get in contact with the branch. They were not answering. Deja Vu all over again. How does this company survive? They need to fire who is in charge of communications and rethink what customer service really means. Otherwise this bank will go the way of the dodo. The only positive thing I can say was that the call center person was very nice and apologetic numerous times for my dilemma. I cannot buy another car for transportation until I receive my funds. MISERABLE FAILURE!
SUNCOAST CAME THROUGH IN RECORD TIME
I was experiencing major headaches and uncertainty in obtaining a home renovation loan for a second property. After being told it was impossible to obtain an investment or second home loan by other lenders, I turned to Suncoast Credit Union. Not only did they approve the second home loan, they also approved home equity and line of credit loans in five minutes. I would like to express my profound praise for the effort and knowledge that Naomi at Suncoast credit union in springhill fl provided, along with Beth and many others that assisted me. Suncoast is the best when it comes to follow up, and keeping me informed each step. I could never give too much praise as they extended my approval periods twice and updated me on progression of loan weekly.

my husband and I have been using them for our auto loans for years , EVERY time we need help they are right there with a smile and a solution . everyone at the Dade City branch is outstanding !!! would not go anywhere else .
Servicio al Cliente Desastre
El Servicio al Cliente en "Tarjetas de Crédito Perdidas o Robadas" es un enorme desastre. He llamado 5 veces, y no han resuelto un simple tema. Incluso me dicen que no aparece nada en el sistema, o sea que jamás llamé las 4 veces antes. Me han hecho perder media hora de mi tiempo con su palabrería, y cada vez ha sido sin resultado. Era enviar una nueva tarjeta de crédito, ya que la mía fue comprometida. Algo simple. ES increíble que en una compañia tan grande, pueda existir tan mal servicio en linea en un Departamento. He llamado a Suncoast, en otros departamentos, y es muy bueno, en persona. ESte Dewpartamento es un desastre. Llamé 5 veces!!!!!
They don't want you to use your money
This credit union doesn't seem to want you to have access to your own money. You can only transfer $1000 per day out of your account. You can only deposit up to $2500 via the mobile app. Check deposits, even with official checks, are held for 7 business days
Suncoast Credit Union VISA
Suncoast Credit Union VISA. No paper statement since February. Had to pay CC statement in person every month. They keep telling me I requested PAPERLESS. Manager at College Parkway was useless and screwed up worse. I withdrew $221,000 from savings as I was discussed with (lack of) service. August 1st, and still no paper VISA statement, and now no Savings statement.

By far the worst experience banking I’ve ever had in my life, I was lied to numerous times, and these people knowing that I do not live anywhere close to a branch have blocked me at every single turn for membership even after following every single request they made I still have had nothing but problems and they are extremely unhelpful and rude. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy go to them let alone anyone I care about!!!!

Open a business account over a month go and still waiting for Checks and debit card. Customer service is a failure in this place. Save yourself the headaches and go somewhere else this place is full of idi@ts!

I changed auto insurance in November
I changed auto insurance in November. You started imposing insurance on me sense January. My Allstate Insurance has sent over the proper paper work twice. The last time the last week of April. Why has this issue not been resolved! No one has contacted me within the 10 working days you promised. You are charging me and my disable boyfriend additional $70 a month plus interest. I have contacted Allstate again today 5/19/23, I will be in touch with you on Monday, in person and upset.
They Just Do What They Want
My brother passed away in june of 22. I have been trying to close his SCCU account since December after getting an order of administration from probate judge. Provided SCCU with all paperwork asked for. Death certificate. Summary of assets with sun coast credit unions name on it, his account number and value of accounts, checking and savings. Order of administration signed by the probate judge. Now they want me to have lawyer petition court for more paperwork at more cost to estate.???????????? You already have an ORDER OF ADMINISTRATION signed by judge that says you are to surrender his assets to me. Yet they refuse? Guess its time for another lawyer scum. That's how they treat veterans right there. Will be moving my accounts now.

I have been a loyal Suncoast CU since it was Suncoast Schools CU, I believe I started banking with them in the early 2000s. I moved out to Seattle in 2010 but stayed with the credit union because of our good relationship. Even through the horrible last couple years, I have always made my payments and have been in good standing. I'm a business owner so keeping my credit in tiptop shape both personally and for the company is of the utmost importance.
For the past couple years, I have had issues with both the app and website locking me out on the first attempt if I accidentally put in the wrong password. Since I can't go into a branch here in Seattle, I have to wait on hold sometimes for an hour just to reach someone. I'm also on Pacific time so trying to get ahold of someone with the time difference is difficult as well. Last month, I had gotten locked out again and I needed to make a payment. I called in and their system was down, so they were not able to accept a payment from me. Between Covid flaring up again, the holidays and everything else going on, I forgot to call back. I called them again to let them know that I would be heading back to Florida to see my parents. At that time, my payment was late but the person from SCU didn't say anything about it.
I called in again because I had trouble with my credit card but (again), no one said anything. I get back home and find that I had a 30 day past due hit on my credit. I was incensed! I call in again but, again, their system is down. I asked to speak to a manager but there wasn't one available so I asked for a call. To this date, no one has called, emailed, or texted me about this. This hit on my credit has dropped my score by 95 points and even made a vendor reduce the credit on an important credit card that I use every day. It shouldn't be hard to pay a bill. This is hurting me and my family! Is this how you treat someone that has been a loyal customer for almost two decades? I need this removed from my credit!

Suncoast has decided that all members should be protected by their fraud prevention department. I asked that this be removed from our two accounts. Their response was tat they could not do that. The representative in the fraud prevention department got hateful because I asked that the service be removed. Farewell Suncoast it has not been a pleasure.
Incompetent Bank
I opened a savings account with this credit union in 2021 and sometime afterwards a checking account was opened in my name which I did not open. An ACH debit was made out of that account and Suncoast took the amount out of my savings and charged me a separate fee for overdraft. After filling out a dispute letter that they sent me, they refused to investigate what happened and said they did not receive it in time but I have proof that they did. Then they said well I should have read an email in May about the overdraft and contacted them sooner. They refuse to refund my money after hours and hours of reaching out to them and the local bank. I will be withdrawing my money soon and would advise others to do the same if you want your money to remain safe
Be careful with Suncoast Credit Union…
Be careful with Suncoast Credit Union Auto Loans. I have been a member and have had loans with them for many years. I recently used Suncoast for my Auto loan. I usually pay off my loans quickly by making principle-only payments. I made a significant principle-only payment, and once it was recorded online, I found out they paid off some of their loan interest; after that, the rest of my "principle-only payment" money went toward the principal of my loan. After numerous phone calls with different customer service people, different explanations, and then having to go into two separate branches, I found out that Suncoast Credit Union REQUIRES you to pay pending interest first before they apply your money to the principal. WOW, what a rip-off. The office manager showed me the e-manual, which says that on consumer loans, interest MUST be satisfied first before they apply any money to the principal. I was so upset and decided I would pay off this loan immediately and never take another load from Suncoast Credit Union.
Horrible Customer Service. Questionable Practices
I have a new auto loan that began in September 2022 with Suncoast. Typically, I always get my auto loans from USAA but Suncoast rate was 1% less. As a 40-year-old I can proudly say that I have never made a late payment in my life and have a credit score just under 800. You’ll understand why that important as you continue to read. In September (first payment due) I used a system called Speedpay since Suncoast does not have an agreement to accept outside funds from USAA online. My payment is due on the 15th of every month. So, I scheduled my next payment in October for October 15th. On October 15th I noticed that my account had not been credited for a payment. I immediately called Suncoast concerned that a payment had not been posted. The rep informed me that even though I scheduled my payment to be deducted on the 15th It could take three additional days, therefore my payment would be 3 days late. The rep reassured me this is not a big deal because they have a payment grace period. Anxiously, I checked my Suncoast auto loan account on the 16th of October and the 17th of October. Finally, on October 17th the payment was posted to my auto loan and the balance of my loan went down as it should.
Today, November 15th I receive a call from Suncoast stating that my account is past due and they request payment ASAP! I immediately check my Suncoast app and find that the payment was taken from USAA and credited to Suncoast on the 17th. The rep tells me the funds were sent back to USAA because the USAA account number I entered was wrong. Hmmm
Question 1: Why does it take 3 days after a customer schedules a payment on time for the transaction to actually occur. If I elect to have my payment deducted on the 15th, it should absolutely be deducted on the 15th on-time. Question 2: How can my account number for USAA be wrong, If it was deducted in September and then again for my Payment in October?
Question 3: If in fact my USAA account number was entered wrong (could be human error on my part). If the number was in fact wrong how did you receive funds from an incorrect account number? Furthermore, how did you send funds back to a wrong account number. Yet, somehow my payment was successful in September, pulled in October without a problem and then sent back. I called back and asked another rep the same questions as above. Totally unprofessional, the rep continued to talk over me. I asked the rep to please just listen to me and stop talking over me. The rep continued to tell me that they never received the funds in October. I’m sorry am I delusional? I see the funds coming out of my USAA account and posted to my Suncoast auto loan on October 17th. The rep then has nerve to say “you are responsible for making your payments not Suncoast. Are you planning on making a payment today”
I informed the rep that Suncoast did not contact me once until 30 days later to tell me funds had been returned and the account number was wrong. I did not receive a call, text, email, or app notification.I called back an waited less than two minutes. I made the payment and was charged an $8 fee. Upset my credit would be negatively affected neither of the two reps could answer the questions above except to tell me to make a payment I made, they returned without notifying me. Now, granted I could have checked my checking account in October. But, why would I check my checking account in October when I looked on the Suncoast app on the 17th and had seen my payment posted.
After being charged $8 dollars to make a payment that was already made I called to speak with another rep. I wanted to know why Suncoast does not have an easy option for customer to pay their loans from an outside bank. The only kind and courteous rep I spoke with out of three informed me that the only way to schedule an ACH outside of Speedpay would be to fill out an ACH form but I would not go into effect until January because of processing time. Seriously, Its November. I asked the rep where I could find the form to fill out because the website is very outdated and hard to navigate. The rep agreed with me that the form is very hard to find and he had to walk me through finding it. Much more to write but not enough space...
Do not get suncoast
I've had suncoast for years. Thought it was good but I seem to have been so wrong. What a waste, this is the only card I've had fraudulent charges on, twice, and they were suppose to send me a replacement 2 weeks ago which I still havent gotten and they dont know why. Trying to deposite a check and they refuse to do that as well. The only thing they are truely good at is spamming you with "offers" for insurance and loans that are no better than what you can get anywhere else.
