When purchasing my vehicle I must admit I was sceptical about paying the additional costs for warranty, however, recently a fault kept alerting on my dashboard and with the help of spectrum my car was booked into a garage and repaired within 5 days of the initial fault appearing. Becky oversaw the claim from start to finish and not only was she sympathetic toward the issue but was so efficient and professional, nothing was too much bother. It’s a 10 star rating from me

I'm paying off an extended warranty…
I'm paying off an extended warranty with Motorpoint, and my 2018 Kia Sportage, after seven months of financing with Motorpoint, had a transmission failure. Spectrum has avoided repairs. My car was in the shop for over a week, and after a week, Spectrum said they wouldn't cover the costs, even though the repair costs $3,500. I never thought Spectrum could be so irresponsible. I've never been late with my payments, and I would never recommend Spectrum to anyone. Spectrum and Motorpoint are the worst.

I would avoid this company…..at all costs
I would avoid this company.
Firstly, it’s extremely difficult to get hold of anyone. Calls go unanswered, and callbacks take at least 24 hours. When I needed an urgent repair, I was unable to speak to anyone despite repeated attempts, leaving me with no option but to pay for the repair myself.
When Spectrum finally returned my call, their immediate response was that the repair was “unauthorised” and therefore they would not contribute towards the cost. They also stated that pipes are not covered under the warranty, despite the failed component being an air conditioning pipe that was neither corroded nor damaged through wear and tear. If this exclusion exists, it must be buried deep in the small print, as it was certainly not clear when I took out the policy.
Looking at other customer reviews, I can see similar complaints regarding exclusions and reasons given to avoid paying claims. Based on my experience, the customer service is poor, response times are unacceptable, and the claims process appears geared towards finding reasons not to pay.
Overall, I am very disappointed and would not recommend Spectrum Warranty.
Usual ‘get out of paying’ reply template and factually incorrect response, ‘ During that conversation, you were advised that any manufacturer recall would need to be investigated before a claim could proceed.’ I was told that being an administrative recall, there was no requirement to investigate with the manufacturer.

Fraud
I have a ford focus and the handbrake button broke. Spoke to spectrum warranty in Sheffield and explained the problem. They said me to a garage. After the garage contact spectrum they said to me that is not covered by the policy because is cosmetic. Let me tell you that handbrake button is a mechanical fault not a cosmetic issue. This button controls the lock and releases the parking break. If broken the handbrake may fail to engage properly which makes it highly unsafe and risk to fail MOT.
They didn't recognise this issue and didn't carry on the repair.
Don't recommend at all.

Good service to resolve warranty claim.
I have been impressed with the professional manner that Spectrum have handled my warranty claim. It was also good to experience an insurance company who are prepared to talk to you on the phone to discuss a claim. Emily was very helpful in resolving the final payment issues and made sure that I understood the final part of the process.

Absolutely disgusting I took out a 4year warranty through motor point using spectrum. Car has been in garage for over a week now and spectrum have only just got round to approving my repair. Then to be told I need to pay £500 odd for adblue crystallisation problems which I have now found to be a known issue that effects diesel vehicles which effects many vehicles and they try to blame the driver for the fault. Spectrum did not seem interested in admitting this and did not show any sense of caring for the customer. Also the garage had tried for days to contact spectrum who seemed incapable of being contacted finally giving authorisation for repairs. Also no one from spectrum has contacted me to help or keep me updated just been silence until today. I have only had my car 5 months didn't expect to have to pay such a large amount through no fault of my own. Very poor customer service.

Hello
Hello. Our Aircon was not working and hence we had to take our car at a garage for checking. It turned out a condenser leak. The garage fixed it. I called Spectrum Insurance and Daniel assisted me and helped me complete the claim. He also suggested me to check with spectrum Insurance before doing any work on the car next time. I give 5 stars to Daniel. Thank you.

I have used Spectrum car Warranty…
I have used Spectrum car Warranty service twice now, for electronic faults on my car. Great service from them. I had to pay initially for the repairs, but I received my money back a week later.
My second time I used them was this month, I spoke to a lovely lady from the company called Lois, she authorised my payment via the bmw garage. Thank you Spectrum Warranty for your help.
