These folks are absolutely golden! My partner and me are planning a slightly last minute trip to NZ. I feel very, very grateful to people like the Pocket Guide team, who share all of this foundational knowledge for such an important trip for us both. I used the pocket guides for Samoa and Tonga. They were comprehensive and so helpful. There was information on so many things and they helped me identify and decide how to spend my time to get the most out of it. The videos were really helpful to prepare myself what to expect and how to be culturally sensitive. I got my husband to watch them with me. Often what you find online is out of date. But I found all the information was accurate.
I also found the videos and information entertaining and engaging to watch. I wish every country had such useful pocket guides.
I downloaded the pocket guides to my computer so I always had the information even if I didn't have access to the internet when I was traveling.

They are the best place to go to get information on American Samoa. So glad I found them.

I have spent many hours reading all the information on Samoa Pocket Guide. It was easy to navigate (link to link). I was already excited about going to Samoa but reading all the honest information in the Guide has shown me that there is a lot more to the country than I was expecting. I have been sharing the information and links with my family and getting them to follow up (on SIMs etc). Have been able to plan an itinerary from this one site, and also easily and confidently book with local tour guides via Trip Carver. Thanks for making it so easy to plan our itinerary. Will definitely be using your Guides for other Pacific countries.

Wow, this “Pocket” guide is so detailed and full of information and links it’s not fair to call it a pocket guide.
The Author and Editor have obviously spent a lot of time visiting, researching and updating this guide. Theres rarely a question I have that I can’t find an answer to in the guide. They cover everything. Every topic is well linked to subtopics, and the search bar works well for quick answers.
The guide is laid out naturally, and flows in a smooth manner. The index is short, and concise. After a couple weeks of popping in and out, I downloaded the Pdf version for my phone which I can use when exploring or planning activities without needing internet access during my upcoming visit to the Cook Islands. Again Well Done!

I found the pocket guides very helpful in our past trip to Fiji. We loved our vacation so much, we are planning another 6 weeks to Fiji, Samoa and Vanuatu. Though it is very informative with info on flights and accommodations, what I like most are the other things. Things like currency/ ATM's, Local culture and etiquette, FAQ's, tips, and different destinations within the country.

Five stars ! Fiji pocket guide was the best guide we have ever had the pleasure to read. Laura is awesome and took the time to reply to our private message asking about car rentals and travel options. We loved the videos by Robin and Laura. I travelled to Fiji with my wife in March 2025 and went shark diving before our cruise and we are both so grateful for all the detailed tips and suggestions contained in the pocket guide. Recommendation for the car rental was spot on and the accommodation and restaurant guide was so helpful. Highly recommend this guide to anyone thinking about Fiji. Keep up the great work
