Horrendous Experience

One of the worst experiences. The salesperson misrepresented everything to me, including refunds, remakes etc. The price was outrageous for the product. Two windows were measured incorrectly and have to be remade. One of the motorized shades came broken. There are plenty of competitors out there so do yourself a favor and use another if you don’t want to be disappointed and frustrated. My experience with Blinds to Go over 18 years ago was outstanding. Such a waste of $7500!!

Hello JoAnn, Our In-Home Designers are experienced and design the window treatments with the ciient's best in mind. You should have had to sign off on all the products you agree to purchase and our Satisfaction Guarantee policy and Limited Life-time policy was provided to you in the contract you signed.
I am sorry that you do not feel you have had the best experience. Smith & Noble does stand by our products and if something is wrong with the order, we do all we can to make it right. I do see that one of our Customer Care Agents is currently working with you on your issues. She will continue to be in contact with you until all is resolved. A tale of 2 shades

I’ve purchased 2 shades from Smith & Noble. Product selection is nice-looking, but limited.
Chain on solar shade I bought a couple (?) years ago, broke after @ 12 months. Also, bottom 6 inches of Solar shade (section which does not totally retract into “roller”) became discolored; l assumed it was my fault, b/c I smoke, but a contractor in my home for an unrelated job opined that the discoloration was due to sun damage…which seems odd for a “solar shade,” so who knows?
Hope the other shade (not solar) I bought last month fares better, as it cost almost twice as much as I expected!
I’ll probably order from them again though…Smith & Noble’s in-home customer service is excellent, even though product is only “OK.”

Can’t replace strings on my cellular blinds that are…

Strings on my cellular blinds that are in perfect condition broke. I live in San Francisco and not one blinds store has the part to replace. Contacted Smith and Noble to be told that they can’t do anything since it’s past the 5 year warranty.

Hello Anna. I am sorry to hear the cording broke on your cellular blinds. The cording is not covered any longer under our limited life-time warranty, as cording is covered for 5 years. Lousy customer service

Lousy customer service. Once youve had your product for 5 years there is NO customer service. You are on your own to change out motors and difficult to find replacements or anyone who can help install them. Buyer beware....... DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

The initial setup is fine but if you have any problems with your shades, you have to take them down and send them back and pay for the box (which means I would I would have to stay without shades for that time. They offered to send me paper shades in the meantime. When I went with them as a company, their representative said that they would fix any problems by sending someone out and that they would fix any issues (not just related to installation. Not worth the price for that follow up service. Go with another company.

Carol, I was able to find your order and it seems it was placed in 2020. Smith & Noble does provide installation services for new orders. The installation is covered for 1 year. If there are any adjustments needed that can be done in your home, we would do so. If it is more, than the shades would be sent back to the factory to address and correct the issue. We do stand by our products and all warranty issues would be covered under our Limited Lifetime Warranty policy.

The best people!

This is a great company with caring people. I received samples and great follow up. Unfortunately, they do not do in home service in my area.

Fabric and wood samples

I appreciate the courtesy and timeliness of service from Smith and Noble. As a small business owner, when ordering samples for custom interior design ideas, S&N have an amazing selection of fabrics, shades, drapes and other decor essentials. They never disappoint in quality or beauty.

See my original review posted on Feb. 16, 2023, and Management's response about a month later. Smith & Noble Customer Service is woefully incompetent. On March 14, after months of email conversations, they agreed to send us a refund for the poorly installed shutters on our kitchen bay window. To date--some six weeks later--we have received no such refund and no communication from Smith & Noble Customer Service representatives as to when we can expect it or why it is delayed. Original date of service was September 20, 2022. This is a horrible way to conduct business.
