Thank you for taking the time to write a review on Trustpilot. Having looked into your case, I see that there has been a delay with the courier. Generally, despite the pandemic, our international deliveries have been relatively unaffected, but unfortunately you have suffered a significant delay.
Our Customer Services team have worked hard to investigate this with DHL, but we can only pass on information we are given by them. DHL's tracking service suggests that the package is now in Hong Kong, so hopefully it will reach you in the next few days.
Please accept our apologies for the longer than expected wait. Looking at your order, it seems that our website failed to add international carriage to the cost. Given your experience, we are happy to waive that charge.
We hope you enjoy your new sink.

Dear Evan,
First, thank you for taking the time to write. We do value feedback, both positive and negative.
Second, as a general comment, there are a lot of accessories in the kitchen and bathroom market that look identical, but are in fact made in different factories, using different materials and to different quality standards. Unfortunately there is a lot of copying. And poor quality wastes corrode quickly, in our experience. Was the wholesaler's waste Shaws' branded?
Without knowing the supplier or the exact product it is hard to comment more specifically. (Feel free to send a link or contact details if you would like us to investigate further.)
Finally, we are sorry that you're disappointed with the product. If you haven't yet used it, you are welcome to return it for a full refund.

Thank you for taking the time to share your Shaws experience. Your review is the first time we've come across this issue. It should be possible to repair a chip very effectively, so something has obviously gone wrong. Assuming you've bought the kit directly from us at Shaws, please contact the Customer Services team (sales@shawsofdarwen.com). Perhaps some element of the kit was faulty - it must be worth trying again. At the moment we don't have our own repair demonstration video (in fact we're planning to film one in January) but this video might be helpful in the meantime (despite German titles):

Dear Shona,
Thank you for taking the time to write a Trustpilot review. We do read and note every one, positive or negative. First, if your sink is showing fine lines under the glaze – we call this ‘crazing’ – it will not affect its performance. Fireclay is a natural material, and no one has yet perfected a method that entirely prevents the possibility of crazing. We do replace sinks that exhibit crazing under warranty, although some customers feel it adds unique character to the sink. Second, any chips or impact damage in a fireclay sink can be repaired. A sink repair kit can be obtained from a good ironmongers or our own shawsofdarwen.com website. I’m not quite sure from your review exactly when or who you complained to, but if you haven’t called our Customer Services team we would suggest doing so, as they may have further help or advice to offer.

Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed review. We take note of every one, positive or negative. Apologies for the delay in responding (we had some technical problems accessing our Trustpilot account). It sounds like your sink is experiencing crazing. Very few Shaws sinks suffer from this, but unfortunately no ceramic manufacturer has yet developed a process to entirely eliminate the possibility of crazing. It does not affect the performance of the sink, by the way, and some customers feel that it is part of the character of a natural material. But we do replace crazed sinks under our Lifetime Warranty, so do please call our Customer Services team to discuss how we can help.
