Stolen bank order cheque of $315.USD , with accrued dividend cheques from a stock owned for 27 yrs,, to buy/ reinvest in a Bristol-Mers Squib Stock

I am informed that they don't have my Bank Draft cheque, received February 02,2025, registered mail February 0, for the purchase of 5 stock in Bristol Myers Squibb, $315USD.
This is fraud by all accounts, Predatory deceitful, ..
Untrustworthy brokerage,
My refund cheque is in the mail?

ABSOLUTE DISASTER!

The only reason this has 5 Stars is, I want this to be the first comment people see. This is the WORST company ever. Get your money out and run far far away. Their treatment of customers should be criminal, They have "misplaced" 2 of my checks. They are supposed to take 7-10 business days. They sent it March 9th Today it is March 27th (my birthday) Not to get personal, I was in desperate need of this check, rent due, speeding ticket, etc. It's been messing with my well-being. I pray all these "representatives" lose their jobs. If I could find ANYTHING to sue this company for everything I would happily do it.

EQ Shareowneronline system not working!!

I have 8 custodial accounts with EQ Shareowneronline. I have one for each of my grandchildren and I periodically buy Proctor and Gamble stock for them. I opened the first account about 15 years ago when Computershare was the agent Proctor and Gamble used for their DRIP accounts. They later switched to Wells Fargo and then to EQ Share. Things worked well for several years. I would place a buy order online and give them the dollar amount I was buying and my banking information. They would make the purchase and take the dollar amount out of my bank account plus a $1 transaction fee. In December 2024 I was buying more P&G stock for each of my 8 grandkids as a Christmas gift. Seven of the orders went thru with no problem. The 8th order kept getting a message that the order could not be placed at this time. I tried several times without success before calling their "customer support" line. They acknowledged they were having a system problem but couldn't say when it would be fixed. Their solution was for me to mail them a request with all my information and a check for the amount I was buying plus a $5 processing fee. I decided to give them some time to fix their problem and try again later. Over the next several weeks I kept trying to place a buy order without success. I finally got an order to go thru in late January. Since I thought the problem was fixed I tried to place a buy order for one of the grandkids that has a early February birthday. That order also gave me the same error message about not being available at this time. I have tried several time since then with no luck. I have called "customer service" several times about this and gotten no answers as to what the problem is or when it might be fixed. My next step is to close all 8 accounts and find a new company that offers a DRIP purchase plan thru a different agent than EQ Share. Has anyone else experience this problem? I know there are many companies that offer DRIP account options but I am finding many of the better options are also managed by EQ Share. Any other option suggests?

Dismal

Dismal, website link to reset account credentials doesn't work. They still send out dollar cheques to shareholders outside of the USA when most banks don't accept them. Trying to get a direct funds transfer set up is a nonsensical paper form filling exercise which should be done electronically via your online account.

Stock Power Forms and Stock Certificates Missing

I mailed the stock power forms on 2/26/25 for three stocks which my deceased husband owned, to have the stocks changed to my name. I included the stock certificates as instructed and three Medallion stamps. USPS tracking shows that the envelope has not moved since March 5. USPS was not able to locate it. They said that it is possible that Shareowneronline has a delivery service which picks up mail without it being scanned. I have called Shareowneronline about three times and they just say they haven't received it. My next step will be to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I see that NY state residents can go through its Financial Services Consumer Complaint Portal, but I am not a NY resident.

Can I give lower than 1 star

Can I give lower than 1 star? I had stock and the transfer agent is Equiniti/Shareowneronline. My sale proceeds check was mailed 12.20.24 I still do not have it (3.11.25). I have called multiple times. I faxed in instructions to recut the check with an overnight label as I was instructed. When I called to confirm they had received it they confirmed and then said it would be 10-15 business days to process the replacement check. IT BEEN 33 BUSINESS DAYS since they received the request. Every time I call I get the runaround. They tell me someone will reach out in x days or 24-48 hours. This has happened at least 4 times and no one calls. I have reached out to the attorney generals office. I will continue to reach out to as many outlets as I can to get this taken care of.

Absolutely Horrific Customer Service

I'll echo nearly everyone else's review... a terrible company. Transferred shares month's ago to a new account, but can't establish access to the new account, but have access to my old account which shows the shares have been zeroed out. I try setting up a new account but the verification codes provided to me. Foreign call center person tells me it's an old number. How can that be when it's the only number I've received? The only option I have is to request a new authentication code, which will take 10 business days? Get real. Find another reliable brokerage, but this isn't it.

Beyond awful

In common with many reviews here, my experience with this company has been dreadful. I sold some stock a month and a half ago and still have not received my money. They could not verify my UK bank account and said they had sent a cheque, 10 days later I said it hadn't arrived and the sent another (again by post) - still nothing. The call centre is terrible, no help at all - the only way to get forms to them is by fax (which doesn't work) or by post - and they call themselves Shareownersonline!!! Please don't use this awful company.

Switched my direct deposit to paper check unilaterally

Overall they seem fine - a good way to hold onto stock and get the tax forms needed for dividend reinvestment. The reason for my low review is my recent sale of some of my stock. I put in direct deposit information, and it said 2-3 days to transfer. Apparently they "couldn't confirm" something about my account, and instead of contacting me to confirm, they unilaterally switched to a mailed paper check that might take 10 days to arrive (currently on day 5), while I made plans based on 3-4 days to give a buffer. The only reason I learned this is by calling them when the funds had not been posted. Really not good customer service, yet they made money on the fees for the sale.

Could Be Better; Could Also Be Much Worse

Honestly, I agree with the past reviews but also do not. Compared to other companies/practices, YES these people move VERY slowly. I have never seen a 21st-century financial company rely so much on snail mail when everything is digitized.

Unlike other reviews, I have also had good experiences with them as well as good customer service. But sometimes, I have bad experiences. If you call, you will wait on hold for 30 minutes and have to verify with security questions. I do not mind this honestly, I have had MUCH worse experiences with other companies putting me on hold. Others mind.

I do not think their guidelines/what they tell you accurately demonstrate what is happening behind the scenes. And that is where almost all of my frustration comes from. For a lot of previous reviews, I have noticed a trend: address change & snail mail.

For an address change/information change, it takes around a month to unlock your account. It is added security, and that's fine. Just make sure you do not need a sale within a month.

If you send in any forms via paper mail. It will take up to a WEEK (business days) to process/accept the paperwork. It will then take 1-5 business days to execute whatever the paperwork says (PER PAPER). So if you have a transfer form + a sale, you can expect to wait UP TO 17 business days for a sale (7+ 1-5+1-5). This is almost a full calendar month after they have received the paperwork. Just do NOT be in any type of rush for your money. They also do not state this, only saying "it will take 1-5 business days". However the customer service rep on the phone stated the full timeline.

Also, I had noticed that after a sale. The account would not accept online sales for around 1-2 weeks. Seemingly a security measure, which I actually really appreciate. But, this was not listed anywhere on their website.

Overall, I wish this company had better customer service/was more open with their customers. But, from my experience it is not as horrible as every other review is making it out to seem.

To anyone reading, I HIGHLY advise setting up an online profile, and establishing access to sell online. No red tape and no hiccups after everything is setup; this is how the platform was meant to be used.

Negative stars

I would love to give this company negative stars. Since mid December, I have filled out 5 forms, all rejected. I've made eight phone calls for information. The call center is of course, off-shored. After an extensive security discussion, which I appreciate, the call center can tell you nothing and can do nothing.

So frustrated. Its like taking a test for Advanced
Bio Chem! This is MY inheritance.

Worst experience with my sister's estate, ever. As soon as I get MY inheritance in my name and under my control, I will never work with EQ again under any circumstance. There's a reason that EQ has less than 2 stars!

Horrendous company

No different to previous comments. I have been trying to sell my shares since start November last year, it took 3 attempts to get my log in details which they kept blaming on the post, then I had to send the documents via courier from the UK to them as they wouldn’t accept anything by email. Once received they raised the cheque (why can’t they bank transfer) quickly and posted it out on the 13th January and guess what still no cheque. I asked for a replacement cheque in the 1st February, I didn’t receive a message as to when I will receive it and when I queried this yesterday they say they do not have any details on their system of me asking for a replacement cheque even though I have an email from them confirming I do so. I despair of ever receiving my money, but will not give up. I would never buy shares from any company who deals with this one. I wish I could give a minus score as they don’t even deserve a 1 star 🤬. I will be writing to the company I bought the shares in to recommend they look at changing the people they deal with.

Exercises in futility

I have been trying for years to transfer stock held in joint tenancy with my deceased husband. I have spoken to multiple people who keep referring me to the online portal, which has a username and password chosen by my deceased husband and not known to me. Or I receive incorrect information. Every time I speak to someone, I receive a different answer (often conflicting with earlier information) and then I run into a road block due to the information not being correct. With a recent change to electronic only access to account information, the situation has become even more problematic. Once I get this sorted out, I think the best thing to do would be to sell these shares.

I am looking to rework my investments, but I will not purchase stock in any individual company that is managed by EQ Shareowner Services.

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER THEM

Same as everyone else!! I sold shares in my stock on January 7th, the check was sent out on January 8th and they told me it would be about 10 days before I received it. Those 10 business days would have been January 22nd here I still am with no check!! I was making a very important purchase and this has held that up tremendously!! I’ve talked to several people in customer service who give me different answers all the time and none of it makes sense at all. If I cancel the check and have it reissued it would be another month until I receive that check!! Why could they just do a wire transfer it’s 2025!!!! I am beyond upset and will be switching companies as soon as this is over!!

Absolutely incompetent

Absolutely incompetent.

An offshore company who provides scripted answers without any form of knowing how to solve simple problems. And there is 'no one' they can talk to - no supervisors, no solutions.

I spoke with 2 different people and got 2 vastly different answers and NEITHER of them could give a clear answer on when my account would be unlocked due to a simple address change.

One said 'a day or two' (but 'not sure') and the other said 4 weeks!!! 4 weeks to have access to stock that I OWN and want to sell??

AND they ask you to communicate documents by postal mail or fax in the year 2025!?? We know the US postal system is unreliable and who even owns a fax machine nowdays??

Shocking. Extremely dissatisfied. Don't become a Constellation Energy or Excelon Corporation Shareholder as you won't be able to do transactions through their provider!!!!

I will also be posting this where Constellation Energy and Excelon Corporation can see this!

Horrible horrible service

Horrible horrible service , been trying to sell stock and close out my account for a month and a half. They give bad advice, tend to say things without ever looking at the specifics, could not be worse. Website seems not to work at all, despite putting in the correct information, can never get pass log in.

You are a fool of you consider doing business with these people.

This company is impossible to deal with. I've been trying for 3 weeks to sell my stock and have it sent to me.
I executed one transaction that was capped so I wanted to do 2 more. The account is now ineligible for selling, but is approved to buy. The one sale I did execute was mailed as a check, even though I went through the process to have it auto deposited.
Phone Support are ESL that read company policy from a script and have no authority to help. Online text support takes 2 days to get an answer and it is boilerplate policy and rules. My request to escalate to Tier 2 support was ignored.
Bottom line, I can't get my money out. Time for attorneys, State Attorney General, and SEC to do some investigation.
You are a fool of you consider doing business with these people.

Poor service from Shareowneronline

Poor service from Shareowneronline. Since my shares have been administered by Equiniti, the customer service went out of the window. Not reliable, minor sign-in and access problems, repeated need to call for mailing of codes, delays in access of records, online service errors, etc, etc. No customer would choose to transfer admin from the share company to Equiniti and Shareowneronline! Terrible problems!

If there was an option to rate…

If there was an option to rate Shareowner Services a negative 3, I would! It is absolutely exhausting to deal with them.
Dealing with them is equal to a game of "wack-a-mole" POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Incorrect and incomplete information given. They are a disgrace how they treat a family after the death of the family member that owned stock. I have tried repeatedly to resolve my father's probate estate for over a year and I have not resolved this yet. Read the reviews. Shareowner Services should not exist. I'm in for a class action suit
