Right move looked after us from the collection of our belongings in Bristol, to storage in Poole in Dorset to delivery to our new home in Murcia region in Spain. Many thanks to the right moving team who did a great job of collection. Storage and delivery at a very fair price. We would not think twice about using them again after a job well done.
The office staff were also excellent at helping us navigate the heap of paperwork needed to navigate the cross border move and we're also helpful with any questions we posed.

I am sharing my personal experience with this company so that others can make an informed decision.

What initially looked like a professional service unfortunately turned into a 3-year legal dispute.

Initial contact
• The first contact with the team was friendly.
• The quote appeared reasonably priced for the service expected.
• I was later asked to pay for a “premium insurance” representing 3.5% of the value of the insured goods, supposedly required for certain fragile or valuable items (glass furniture, etc.).

Pickup day
• Some items were properly packed, but others were poorly protected (fabric mattresses, sofa, etc.).
• Despite the initial quote including two vans, all my belongings did not fit and I had to pay for an additional emergency van at the last minute.
• The loading process lasted around 4 hours, during which some furniture remained outside on the pavement in the rain.

Delivery conditions
• After approximately 13 hours of driving in bad weather conditions, and with very little rest, the manager insisted that I accept delivery late at night in the rain.
• I explained that I was not in a condition to receive the delivery until the following morning, which led to an argument because it was “peak season” and productivity was required.

Upon delivery the following morning
• I discovered several damages and stains on multiple pieces of furniture and immediately opened a claim.

Communication difficulties
• Communication with the manager was very difficult due to extremely limited English, which made resolving the issue more complicated.

Claim process
• After several weeks without updates, I followed up.
• I was told there was an issue with my claim, but no clear explanation was provided.
• At one point, the manager even stated that the police might need to be involved because “I was a crime”, which was very confusing.

Further investigation

Because the situation could not be resolved amicably, I conducted my own checks and discovered that:
• The insurance policies referenced in the contract appeared to have been cancelled approximately two years before my move.

Legal proceedings

As a result, I initiated legal proceedings.
• The case required three court hearings, two of which were postponed at the last minute due to the defendant not attending for medical reasons.
• The court ultimately ruled in my favor.

During the proceedings, the defendant’s behavior towards the court was, in my view, very inappropriate, including accusations directed at the judge.

After the judgment
• The defendant attempted to appeal the decision, but the appeal was rejected.
• When it came to paying the compensation, he stated that paying the full amount immediately could put the company at risk financially and proposed a 20-month payment plan, which I declined.

Apart from the first payment, payments were generally not made unless the court was copied in communications.

I eventually had to involve bailiffs to enforce the judgment, which finally allowed me to recover the money owed.

Overall
• The entire process lasted around three years.
• Even after the case was resolved, the tone of some communications remained very hostile.

If the company disputes this review, I have documentation supporting the events described above.

I strongly encourage anyone considering using this company to carefully review all terms and protections before proceeding.

Great company great communication and speedy service - two vans 2000KG to Almeria Provence in 3 days so we have managed our move before Christmas. Friendly Staff would defo recommend

I do not recommend this company. We used them a year ago and the stress has been ongoing since then.They appeared to be very helpful, the removal team were friendly but in the end they essentially stole from us. We paid £1400 for premium insurance as we needed our things. I hoped not to need this but we did and they have never compensated any of the damages, making repeated excuses. One of their vans leaked and damaged our new mattress, it was dirty, water stained and ripped. The water also damaged a wardrobe, desk and kids toys. We were stresed but accepted as a mistake, expecting the insurance would resolve the probles. Then we spent months going back and forth providing evidence, pictures etc and waiting on promised letters. We would have been happy for repairs at cost but nothing ever came of it. Eventually they just stopped returning calls and emails. It is so disappointing and deceiful. We have moved several times and have never had this problem. Once in the past items were damaged and although it took some time items were repaired. Avoid them. A company that is willing to take someone's money in this way is not worth the risk. I wish we had seen warnings before trusting them. The moving date was actually Sept 24 but the emails and calls went on until June 25, allowing us to hope for a solution they then suddenly stopped responding.

We moved from uk to Spain. Right moving were very very helpful. The office staff were patient and understanding and the removal guys arrived on time, were super efficient. We needed an extra van as we underestimated the load- but Right moving sorted out an extra van in a couple of hours. On arrival the guys worked so hard and although there were some challenges with accessing our property they were super committed, very helpful and very knowledgeable. No breakages no damages and always so nice to deal with.

Right Moving is a great moving company, all my things during packing have been very well protected from damage!! The whole loading went very smoothly and most importantly, everything was very well protected on the car against scratches or damage!! I recommend this company 100%. Real professionals!!
