The initial cost appears low

The initial cost appears low. However the real cost including insurance is similar to the premium car rental companies who have better quality vehicles.
The service received from the staff was excellent however, the car headlight bulb had to be replaced by me and a puncture was repaired by me. The car was comfortable and reliable though it was a bit tatty.

shuttle did not pick us up at airport, phone does not work

The shuttle did not pick us up at the airport. We waited and called the company for 30 minutes and received no answer. Had to take a taxi to pick up the car.

The cost of the rental was inflated I…

The cost of the rental was inflated I ended paying over $350 for a two day rental thats not including the return of gas charge plus a $350 deposit and the vehicle was older model and the check engine light was on when bringing the car back it not worth it in the end. They could have newer vehicles and lower daily costs I was out of $700 before driving the car.

Just don't like the company.

Just don't like that the company isn't at the airport/Midway. The deposit and hold on your account is way to high in my opinion. If you're flying into Chicago having a round trip ticket this company isn't reliable based on its shuttle.

First time

First, nowhere on the hopper receipt did it say rent a wreck..
next, on the hopper app, it stated 0 miles from airport thinking it’s at the airport. NOT.
When we finally figured it out. The lady at the counter was very nice and knowledgeable.vehicle had no window washing liquid.
Car drove good and clean.
Return was a breeze.
Need to fix Hopper and rental information.

Hidden fees

Hidden fees. My booking online was $149, and with your hidden fees it went up to $280. Everyone I spoke to outside waiting for their car was equally upset at this misrepresentation.

Never again.

We paid the total cost of the car rental per our Expedia price summary, but before we could get possession of our rental car or the keys, we had to pay another $270.22 to Rent A Wreck at the parking lot.

The pick-up at the airport after our arrival was a disaster. We were told to walk out to the Taxi area but not what to look for. After calling Rent A Wreck they said just look for ABC. Every bus in the airport has ABC. We got on an ABC bus but after speaking to the driver realized it was not the ABC shuttle to ABC Parking. Eventually, we were picked up by the shuttle and driven to ABC Parking where they told us we had to pay $270.22 more. We returned the car two days early and did not receive a rebate.

Overall great experience

We had some issues getting our vehicle. The email from the distributer in Larnaca went to my spam folder so we had some miscommunication. They were extremely nice and helped us get our vehicle. They were very accommodating with our early departure time. Overall great experience.

The car was great and ljust what we needed for our time out West. There was only one little snafu - the radio would come on at various times completely unsolicited. It was extremely difficult to turn off. The driver was annoyed by this disturbance. When we told the person in the office she said she has had this complaint before and it would never happen when she was trying to show her boss. Believe me, it happened almost every time we were in the car. That was the only problem we encountered, Gas was really expensive in CA and some parts of NV, but you cannot do a thing about that - almost $100 a fillup.

Car was great, not ready on reservation day

Car was great, however it was not ready until the second day we were there. In the grand scheme of things, not a big deal, but it would’ve been nice to have taken delivery of my car on day one The staff was fantastic.

Misleading prices

Prior to our arrival in Cancun, the website promised a $150 refundable deposit and did not mention a required insurance payment. We were under the impression that we would only be paying the $50 car rental fee and the refundable $150 deposit. However the information was highly misleading because when we arrived there, we were told we had to pay an additional insurance fee of $250 as well as a $500 refundable deposit. This was a negative experience on our honeymoon and our next trip we will not be using this car rental service. Your company should be more transparent with their prices since we had to budget and save for this trip and additional charges caused a great hardship for us.

Easy process to get car

Easy process to get car, no long lines. Same with the return. Car could’ve been a little cleaner inside and out. Otherwise it was a great experience.
