Additional hidden insurance costs
I have been forced to take a third party insurance. It was not compulsory as per the contract I signed. And I never take those, understanding however that I am taking the risk of having to pay for it myself. But I had no choice here. Otherwise the person would not let me get the car.
The cost of this was prohibitive and accounted for an additional 60 percent of the initial price.
I have brought this issue to their management. I am still awaiting a feedback and ultimately a reimbursement.

No phone number to call for customer…
No phone number to call for customer service . The app doesn’t work either there is no way to communicate with this company besides face to face and I was going out the country so it was important for me to speak with them beforehand so we could be fully prepared. We were charged and additional 140 plus a 250 deposit ! Waited over an hour at the site to receive my rental because they were “cleaning it” . Wasn’t wet wasn’t clean had finger prints all over . That car was nice drove okay . Which is why I gave 3 stars but I probably won’t use this company again

Great experience!
Great experience. Prompt pick up from and to airport. Car was clean and ran fine. All staff very friendly and professional. Fair price. No issues, highly recommend!

Overall good experience
The service was great in picking up and returning the car and rides to and from the sirport. The car was fine. It ran welll but did have a malfunctioning passenger’s window which would not roll completely up.We took it to a dealership in Carson City but it was Sunday so they could only try to get it up as far as it would go.

Friendly service: When we arrived t the Chicago Midway…
When we arrived t the Chicago Midway Airport we were welcomed by a representative who drove us to the rental office. We did not have to wait long. It was easy to get through the paperwork and be on our way. Everyone was friendly and helpful. After our trip, it was also easy to return the car and get a ride back to the airport.

I won't do this again
When I rented I had no idea that it would be a literal wreck. I have to say the only good part of the rental experience was that they dropped the car off for me and I was able to leave it at the train station. I have rented with Enterprise previously when I came up and they made me go to the airport to get it. Enterprise's slogan used to be we'll pick you up.
That being said, I had to trade cars the first day I was there because the one they gave me had electrical problems and started smelling burnt. That one also had a weirdly sticky steering wheel. The one they moved me into had an actuator problem and it would clack very loudly upon starting the car. I had to buy a socket so that I could charge my phone as there was no way to do that. The car had 253k miles on it. I think it should have been retired prior to my being put into it. The woman that I dealt with there was very nice.

This was the worst car rental…
This was the worst car rental experience I’ve ever dealt with. Not only do they not answer the phones they literally give you a piece of trash car. Had a flat tire on day one and was told nothing they can do about it. The car rattled the whole time and made noises. When I told the gentleman his response was it’s the Puerto Rico streets. Do not rent from here

Pick up was seamless
Pick up was seamless. It is not on the airport propoerty, but not too far away. The car was decent.. the paperwork was handles fast. All was explained and the rate was the rate! Good value overall.

Y'all intentionally tried to sabotage me
Y'all intentionally tried to sabotage me. I was so stressed from the new fees they added. I am just getting out the hospital after a really bad asthma attack from stress. Truly cringe and hated this experience, started great though.

I booked the rental car via American…
I booked the rental car via American Express Travel Service. Upon arrival, the Rent A Wreck did not honor that contract and refused to take American Express card as a form of payment.

CRIMINALS that pretend to be nice!
These guys are criminals!!! My rental was $69.86 total which was paid through Expedia. When my credit card bill arrived, the charges were $288.04 without any explanation. I walked around the car with the manager and checked for damages and refueled the vehicle before return. I even provided my insurance. I will be reaching out seeming as though they haven’t reached out to me to explain this erroneous charge. DO NOT RENT from theses guys. YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!
