Chose top tier inspection. Easy to organise,done in 24 hours. Report was comprehensive and was able to speak with inspector. Good service. Costly, but worth it.

A full and thorough investigation

It’s a great service for those who don’t know much about cars, and it was reassuring to get an experts eyes on the car we bought but the mechanic never called us to speak about the report, which was part of the paid package. He also said there was no middle seat belt, which there was when we went to inspect it. It didn’t feel very thorough considering the price.

Exceptional report and service as always. The confidence and peace of mind I get from these inspections has helped me successfully buy 2 great vehicles sight unseen (and has helped me avoid a couple of not so great ones too)!

Report had much more detail than I expected (I had previously used NRMA inspection and nowhere near as detailed)

Was promised on the phone it was an independent inspection and the guy wouldn't speak with the car dealership about his findings.

He spoke to them about all his findings, and the dealership bragged about knowing him well. These dealerships see the same redbook people every time and they seem to develop relationships.

Get your car taken to a proper shop of your choice instead, where they can lift the car up to take a much better look.

The team at Redbook were quick, efficient and helpful. They identified a number of issues with the car before purchase, which enabled us to negotiate with the dealer and have them fixed at no extra cost to us. Great service.

Not only did l get a very detailed email with pictures and notes but the guy that did the inspection called me to discuss and answered all my questions honestly. He was extremely helpful.

The team at redbook were friendly, took lots of photos and identified low coolant but did not include the large stone chip in the windscreen on the car (barely visible in 8 photos but immediately noticeable in person) and did not identify the 9 year old tyres still on the car.

I have used Redbook twice. The detail and pictures are good. The first inspection saved me buying the wrong car, the second one confirmed I had found the right car, but I didn't know until I got the call back. The conversation with the inspector was more definite than the printed report, which was mostly 3/fairs. I do feel you shouldn't have to pay top price to get a phone call.

Got 2 Ultimate inspections done by Redbook and was super happy with the experience for both. The first one was for a car interstate and was contacted super quick for the results. The 2nd car was in the same state but found issues with the car that stopped us from buying it. Appreciate the quick turnaround and attention to detail from both. Thanks

Great value for money, comprehensive report and fast communication. Would 100% recommend.

They missed black smoke under load and the fact that the car has a top speed of around 120kph, when it should be 170/180kph. Definitely only support dealers, rather than buyers. Absolute joke

I was disappointed that the inspection report missed the fact that the spotlights fitted to the car were not even wired into the car. I was relying on the inspection to pick up things like this as I am buying a car from interstate and unable to inspect myself.

Harrison P inspected the vehicle ( 9/7/26 at Lindfield 2070) and gave a very comprehensive report. He was polite, through and explained what he was doing at all times.I got the report as the "seller" in order to save any purchaser from the need to get a report. The buyer from Adelaide is buying the car without an actual "in person" inspection based largely on the Redbook pre purchase report, he said.
