The Worst! its always very hard to login, the same username, same password, copy paste but it take at least 10 times attemps untill it finally log in with the same password and the same username!

I've used a lot of hosting companies over the past 20 years and can honestly say that Rackspace are the worst. Overpriced, arrogant, and unhelpful. Avoid and get a cheaper, better service elsewhere from a company who values you.

**I am extremely frustrated with this company! I tried to set up an account but accidentally entered the wrong email address. When I called Customer Service for help, I struggled to understand the representative due to his heavy accent. It made the situation even more stressful. What really irks me is how quickly they were to take my money from my bank account, but when it comes to resolving issues, the service falls short. This experience has been nothing but disappointing!**
Time consuming. Comical Systems.
Time consuming, over priced, nothing is automated (except for billing you an extra month after cancelling because the service is so terrible). Do yourself a favor and use a modern company that allows you to create hosting, emails, and more in 30 seconds rather than several days. Why on earth do they need multiple people, and many phone calls to activate an account. It is almost comical how they operate.

We lost everything thanks to them. If you are stuck using their services, make sure you have recent backups until you find a more reputable and professional company.
They had biling confusion on their end and never sent us any notification this was going to happen. After they deleted everything, our business took a huge hit and had to scramble to install backups which unfortunately were not recent.
We tried speaking with customer service many, many times. Every time we called, it was a rep from India that were never helpful. We even called during an Indian holiday and was told most of the company was gone due to the Indian holiday. What company with this much responsiblities just closes for a holiday?! GARBAGE!!!
We paid a meesly amount (couple hundred bucks) that supposedly never got paid via cc. We told them we wanted to close our account because of what they did. They acknowledge, verbally apologized, and what did they do, kept our account open unknown to us and sent us to collections!!! You can't make this up!
NOT SMART TO KEEP YOUR VALUABLE DATA WITH THIS GARBAGE COMPANY!!!
Start shopping around and find a more legitimate company that actually works with customers.
I wish I could give them negative stars. For what it's worth, I NEVER right reviews. I don't want to see anyone else get hurt the way we did!

I recently had an HR interview with Rackspace, and the experience felt very robotic. The recruiter followed a script with little engagement, making the conversation impersonal. Additionally, the salary offered for a senior position was quite low compared to industry standards. I also noticed a significant discrepancy in pay for the same role across different locations, which raises concerns about fairness and consistency in their compensation structure. A more transparent and standardized approach to salaries, along with a more engaging HR process, would improve the candidate experience.

We just stopped using Rackspace when we discovered that they had been overcharging us for years without our knowledge. They claim that a former employee agreed to a minimum monthly payment in exchange for some sort of discount. In the past several years we have worked with them they have quoted prices to our IT staff with no mention of the minimum charge. We want to warn others to watch out for these kinds of shady dealings so they don't get scammed like we have.
Dishonest Thieves
If you try to cancel your contract with RackSpace, they will delay, delay and drag their feet until your next 90-day contract window rolls around so that you need to pay another 3 months to them for their overpriced, unsatisfactory hardware and services.
I would not recommend them to anyone
I would not recommend them to anyone. After agreeing with them to end our contract they still keep sending us invoices. It seems as though no one in this company knows what the others are doing.

Used to be excellent 5-20 years ago. The benchmark for service and product excellence. Sadly now an utterly confusing mish mash of services with multiple portals with slightly different but overlapping functionality making everyday tasks time consuming and complex.
Support don't seem to read the question however precisely it is worded and indeed seem to struggle to rationalise the systems themselves. Value is also poor compared to peers.
After 20+ years with rackspace I wish we'de moved 5 years ago but we are now moving everything away.
It's a pain to move multiple sites and services but staying with such an abysmal setup is 10X worse.
Lengthy Down Times
Lengthy down times where it is impossible to access email. On top of that, there is no option to purchase additional storage space, so you have to constantly purge emails.
Absolutely abysmal customer support…
Absolutely abysmal customer support since moved to India. With them for 15 years and have watched them move from excellent to average to miserable after being acquired by a PE firm. After we experienced an attempted cyber attack, their support was terrible, slow and incorrect. Completely incompetant. We have migrated to Hyve!

Their web mail interface is awful
Their web mail interface is awful. Search absolutely does not work. They apparently offline the search index, so when you do a search they tell you they need to restore the index, it happens automatically and try again later. What they don’t tell you is that you need to wait about 4 hours for search to start functioning somewhat.
NEVER use Rackspace
NEVER use Rackspace. It barely works. Their customer service is the absolute worst. Giving this antiquated, POS company $1.00 is $1.00 too much.
Unable to deliver basic and personal emails
Using Rackspace via SMTP for my website.
- The IP where I am within Rackspace has been banned by Microsoft, leading to undelivered emails.
- The security alerts (eg hacking trials / admin login / ...) sent from my website to myself only are undelivered since considered as Phishing attempts. How could I be willing to phish myself?
- This evaluation makes that indeed most of my emails are not delivired. Even from myself to another myself (alias).
Conclusion: they are too poorly skilled in algorithms, unable to filter and deliver fair emails, and unable to stop real spammers.
Rackspace used to be the gold standard…
Rackspace used to be the gold standard for customer support. They are not the same company they once were. They do a great job of acting as if they know what they are doing. however, they do not. As all of the other reviewers here have stated, avoid Rackspace for any web/email services and look elsewhere.
Run far away
10 years ago Rackspace was expensive but had the best support and best quality experience. You paid a premium for a premium service. They were bought out by private equity, outsourced ALL support to India and fired all account managers. Now you pay a premium price to get atrocious support from unskilled foreigners who don't speak English. Everyone I have spoken with at Rackspace over the last few years is wildly incompetent and Rackspace is not a serious place to host your businesses services. Run far away from this company and go to Google, AWS, or Azure.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Our company has been at Rackspace for close to 20 years. Their customer service has gone so downhill, I renewed a year contract last year and half way through it they say my hardware is EOL. Did they not know this when we signed??? Ok what do we need to do, took over 4 months to get a quote, rates were doubled. Another part of their team was like you can go Rackspace and AWS, ok great lets do that. They wont let me out of the original contract with the ended hardware even though we were going to keep their services?!?! Now were paying for a server at Rackspace for 3 more months with nothing on it.

I had 3 email address for a business that run with Rack Space from 2019 till 2022.
I closed the business and started a new business, Rack Space were informed to close the first business email account and email address.
I thought this was done and that i only had 1 email address for my new business. I paid by debit card up until the start of Feb 2024 where i noticed that my invoices had gone from $10.00 to $38.00 a month.
My tech skills are not great and when i made contact to tech support, I was told that the first business email address were live and not cancelled like they said had been done in 2022.
I then disputed this and Rack Space now refuse to refund the money ive paid for a service ive not had, they now are holding me to ransom and cutting my email accounts off so i cant use my email address for my business or to receive access codes from the mental health team as i suffer with PTSD and Bi Polar.
For 5 months they have broken me and taken the will to fight them and yet again as of 24/7/2024 im cut off and spending a further 4 hours on the phone banging my head against the wall and becoming so angry,
4 days and still no reply to my support…
4 days and still no reply to my support ticket, total silence, Rackspace really have fallen... very sad. Please drop the "fanatical" part as it's just not true sadly.
Find another supplier.
