I bought Canon 5DMark 111 and 2 Canon lenses from them 5 years ago. All gear is working great today so no problems with the equipment! In addition the service I received from them was excellent. I made a mistake in my order and they refunded me no problem. The reason I'm writing this review is that I've just found the documentation and remembered what happened. Yes I did panic about the 'grey' gear but 5 years down the line and it's all working great!!

Got my Sony A99 for the best price going was delivered from warehouse in London, received camera next day UK stock and fantastic service from UK staff.

Used them twice, they were cheap with quality uk-based customer service. Yes they are grey imports, but the saving was so substantial that I believed I already 'had money in hand' to deal with repairs that might not be covered by Canon. I can.t be sure that Canon would turn away from providing support but i expect they might.

Canon would have been under pressure from uk resellers to drive procamerashop out of business. Their website i s now down, it seems they.ve gone but they didn.t do anything wrong by their customers, it's just the natural politics taking over.
I prefer choice - then i choose the cheap option and be mindful of the risk or I may as I sometimes do plump for the more expensive option.

I used them just recently to buy a Canon lens, they had it on sale for £500 cheaper than anyone else I could find!
With the current Canon cash back offers it worked out at £250 cheaper than the best deal I could fine. Canon cash back, £200, and Quidco, £50.
I paid by bank draft which also got me another 3% off as well!
Lens arrived safely and all seems well.
I would like to point out that ProCameraShop would seem to have gone 'off-line,' going to their web site now and all I get is a blank page?
Shame as they had some truly amazing deals.

I have used these people three times and have been pleased with the goods and the price. However, I have to agree with some of the other comments. Always do your investigation first. Ask them if they are in actual possession of the goods. I suspect they often rely on a third party to be holding stock. Yes, they must be grey imports at these prices and you will not receive a manufacturer's warranty. I have no experience of PCS' repair service. Dispatch and delivery is poorly managed. PCS are always vague on delivery date and the companies they use for delivery are equally indifferent. Compare Amazon/DPD who are wonderful. Ask yourself if the 3% saving in exchange for direct bank transfer is worth risking your money with people who exist in a mysterious world. A credit card will give you at least a feeling of confidence about your money. We all want a bargain; especially given the price of camera equipment these days. I believe theses people could sharpen up their act and gain better trust in the market place. But always be aware that if a supplier is circumventing the regular avenues for trade then the risk on the buyer who parts with money before holding the goods is at an increased risk of something going wrong.

I bought a Canon 600D from Procamerashop.co.uk a couple of months ago. It was only after ordering I fully realised their background. They're definitely selling grey imports. Being honest, I had an OK experience ... everything went smoothly and the price was very good. I sincerely hope I don't have a problem with the camera as warranty appears to be with Procamerashop and I believe Canon would just wash their hands of the matter. I too noted the PCS site was down today. Believe me, that is most definitely NOT a good sign for any business. I would be VERY wary of them in future (if they resurface).

They've gone. Dead. Defunct. Extinct. Expired. Vanished. Departed. Lifeless. Pushing up daisies. The end. Period.

I've found quite a few negative reviews of PCS (ProCameraShop) and whilst a fair few of them are written by folk that have actually placed orders with them, there are numerous "Reviews" that state things like "Don't buy from them because they stock grey imports" or "Don't buy from them because their warehouse is in Hong Kong" both statements are true to a degree BUT you have to realise that they are able to offer such competitive prices because they are in HK and offer Asian stock. If you want UK stock feel free to pay 10 - 20% more for the privilege. I've used PCS on four occasions in the last six months and received excellent service, with fast delivery, in full, on time. On one occasion I was worried about the asymmetrical nature of the fully stopped down iris (Aperture) of a Sigma 50mm f1.4 EX DG lens. The salesperson at PCS organised the collection, analysis, and fault report within an hour. The lens was collected that day, looked at the next day and returned to me within two more days. They supplied a written report and I was able to contact the repair shop to talk to the technician that looked at my lens.
I have spent nearly £2000 in six months and saved more than £230 against the best Amazon prices. I have no problem at all saving £230 AND receiving great customer service.

My biggest fear at present is the fact that their website has curiously been down for four days now. "Down" as in doesn't seem to exist any more. I really wouldn't want to lose such a great source of gear at such low prices. But, putting my business head on, I'd make sure everything is OK with their business before using them, as now-a-days websites do not tend to be inoperative for more than a few hours.

I've used Procamerashop on 4 occasions so far and I will continue to use them. They are quick and efficient and their prices are generally very competitive, mainly due to the use of so called grey imports. So what? They offer a warranty and the items are exactly the same as those that you would buy in the UK from the main retailers. There are some slight risks with this but I have never had any issue. Just be aware of what you are buying. I utilise the 3% off offer on payment and also have had absolutely no problems. Delivery has always been via UPS who I think are the best courier firm around.

I saw an advert for a Sony A77 SLT with Procamerashop online. The asking price was
Just over £623 for the camera only. This did seem a good price and after reading the reviews I went ahead and ordered the camera. I was not at all happy with having to create a Google wallet, and it did cause my bank to reject the payment at first. Santander was very wary of fraud in this case. However I rang my bank and it was all sorted out.
Two days later I rang Procamerashop to verify that everything was okay and was told that ,yes ,my camera would soon be sent out from the warehouse. A day later because I had heard nothing by email, I checked my (Google wallet) only to find that my delivery had been cancelled. I rang the company who told me that there was a complication at the warehouse, and they had stopped my order without telling me.
They mumbled some excuse about my debit card, and that things had changed and they were no longer prepared to let me have the camera at the earlier agreed price.
They did have the SonyA77 available but I would have to pay a lot more. They did agree that the money had been cleared, but I was just not going to get one at the earlier agreed price. The stock showed 3 when I ordered and then 5 when I had my order cancelled. The matter is in the hands of Office of Fair Trading now.
I strongly advise you to stay away from this company. In the end I purchased the camera from Amazon at approximately £120 more.This last I had used to buy a new Sigma lens with in the intervening time.

Just like the last reviewer, I too had my order for an expensive Canon lens cancelled due to "...unforeseen circumstances ....& severe delays in their warehouse." My main concern straight away was that I'd just paid them over £500 by direct bank transfer & I was worried about where my money had gone! However the company responded promptly to all my emails & their accounts department refunded the total balance the following day, so I was very relieved. It was a big shame they could no longer source the item that I wanted (especially at such a good price), but I couldn't fault their honesty, communication or customer service & for that I give them 5 stars.

I was unsure of buying an expensive camera online but having read the excellent reviews on trustpilot I decieded to take the plunge and placed my order for a Canon EOS camera and a Sigma lens from Pro Camera Shop, both items were listed as in stock and I received a confirmation of the order straight away, great. The next day I received an email from Pro Camera Shop stating that "due to unforeseen circumstances, they are currently experiencing severe delays in their warehouse, and are unable to advise when they will be back up and running" "and that they have now cancelled my order"
However their website has no mention of any warehouse problems and the items are ordered are still listed as in stock and available (although now at a higher price than when I placed my order! I have had no further communication from them, I just hope this was not just a scam, and that the money has gone back onto my card (Google checkout states that I have not been charged)

Like many I was unsure of buying on line with some companies, so I checked here first. I was reassured to see the outstanding reviews.
I called them to ask more about the D7100 and they were up front telling me all I wanted to know about the model and their warranty through Nikon approved service centers etc. You need to be careful when purchasing imports, but as many have said with them they have never had an issue.
So I ordered my camera and had emails and confirmations all the way through the process. I had an email that concerned me about issues of warehouse system failure and it might delay my order.

Anyway as it happens it might have done, but I didn't notice, i still got my delivery within one week of ordering. Its best to be an informed customer than an unhappy one with no correspondence. So they scored well here.
Would I buy from them again? Yes. And I would recommend them too.

I am currently upgrading some Canon cameras which are at the top end of the range.
Having read some of the feedback on some of the forums I was a little unsure as to whether I should be dealing here in view of the amount of money I have to lay out.
AND MY EXPERIENCES SO FAR.......... superb!!!! Communication has been second to none and delivery fantastic every step of the way.
I ordered one camera on Monday took advantage of the 3% discount by paying directly into their bank account and the camera arrived today Wednesday.
I have ordered the other camera today without any worries and who knows perhaps they can do even better and I might get it tomorrow.

Without a doubt it is the best on-line service I have used. From initially looking for the product, the price quoted, the option for a further discount with the bank transfer on the item, constantly being updated on progress to the delivery company calling to let me know they had arrived. As a professional press/sports photographer I need a supplier who can deliver in terms of available stock, turn-round time and price. ProCameraShop.co.uk is that supplier.

Last Monday I ordered a Canon EOS 1DX from ProCameraShop.co.uk for a price of £4,089.99 which was nearly £900 pounds cheaper than I could get elsewhere. I was then offered a 3% discount if I paid by direct bank transfer. After reading a lot of other comments on this site I decided to opt for the Bank transfer even though I knew I would not get any buyer protection. After making payment I have to say my nerves were on edge however by the next morning I had received a confirmation of payment and advised that I would be informed when delivery would be shortly. Still being nervous I called them up and asked when would I receive delivery and they informed me that I should receive it on Thursday and that I would receive an email shortly. Sure enough I got the email and by mid morning on Thursday my brand new Canon EOS 1DX was in my hands. I can only say that I was highly impressed with ProCameraShop and would definately buy from them again.

UPDATE..... 18th November 2013. I hear this company has ceased trading! Please beware

I bought a Canon EOS 7D and lens. The camera was fine but the lens was faulty. When I became aware of this I contacted Procamerashop who advised me to send it to an authorised canon repair shop. I did so and they informed me that the lens was damaged-most likely due to an 'impact'. ProCamerashop would not accept that it was their fault. So I am out of pocket for the lens and the cost of post and packaging. So caveat emptor!

I bought a Canon 5DIII which developed a software fault, contacted ProCameraShop and asked if there was any reason why I shouldn’t take the camera into the Canon HQ near me at Elstree. No problems they said, so I took it in and the technician and I looked over things and the fault had cleared itself, so no problem except I felt somewhat foolish (In my defence I had downloaded the latest firmware to see if that would cure the problem and it may have done, but took a few battery out camera reboots to sort and the final one prior to the visit may have sorted it), anyway I digress…….

A few weeks later I managed to bust the rear screen, so back into the repair shop this time for a prolonged stay. It was at this stage I became nervous, however Canon fitted a new screen, gave the beast a service and never queried the source! It was a chargable repair, but going to treat myself to another lens from these guys……..

I was a bit devious about buying from this company, as they were so much cheaper than anyone else. However I spoke to two friends who had bought from them, who reassured me. I bought a Tamron 90mm macro lens for my Nikon D3200 for £240, which was £130 cheaper than anywhere else either online or instore. Delivery was quick and they keep you informed all the time until your item is delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and they are the first people I will look at next time I want camera equipment.

Surprised it arrived so fast used the bank trans method to get another tenner off the already unbeatable price :-) camera supplied with UK plug covers on front and back i.e. one on screen and one over lens full UK spec chuffed :-)
