Nothing but a fraudulent, money-grabbing scam of a company.
At a time where people are struggling to make ends meet and get by, and you still have appalling companies like this scamming people.

I had my phone stolen from the table where I was sat on a night out. Within the decline of my claim, they said I left the phone ‘unattended’ because I stood up from the table, so to have any hope in gaining a claim through this joke of a company, make sure you’ve had your gadget surgically attached to you for proof.

They then said that I didn’t validate the proof my phone. They’ve got proof of purchase etc for this phone so just another lie. They are quick enough to take your monthly payments and excess but will not pay anything out.

I will be taking this much further.

Absolutely vile, I really do hope this company gets some kind of karma.

Scam company avoid at all cost...

Scam company avoid at all cost.... Check reviews for nova direct and the new one zugar znap.

We took 1 week european breakdown cover and they left us stranded in France for 2 days until we managed to sort ourselves out. Voided our policy because we didn't inform them! Unreasonable clauses in their contract. We have informed the bank and will happily complain to the ombudsman to stop others being scammed

Pex insure have responded but they have made no attempt to contact us, I have put 3 reviews on and contacted them on numerous occasions. Just waiting till the 8 weeks is up and will be taking it to the ombudsman, our bank is also looking into it.

Don’t flex your PEX

Do not go anywhere near this company. They will do anything they can to get out of paying out a claim. They will even amend their own terms and conditions to justify their decisions even when they are proven to be wrong. They will also phone you up if you make a complaint and try to bully you to stop you going to the ombudsman. The operative I spoke to was aggressive and rude something I have never experienced from anyone I have dealt with before in similiar circumstances.

Do not use!

I submitted my claim for a cracked screen repair weeks ago. They don’t reply to emails and ask for for you to submit evidence you’ve already submitted in order to cause delays and avoid paying. I believe they do this in the hope that people will get fed up of chasing. Their SLA says that they will reply within 72 hours but I am waiting 3 weeks for my latest reply now. Absolute scam of a company, avoid at all costs.

I am so shocked this company hasn’t been investigated and closed down given the reviews. Who is regulating them?!?

Scam!!! STAY AWAY from this company and Nova…

STAY AWAY from this company and Nova Direct who does guarantees claims for them on their behalf. They say on there website they will cover, and when an incident happens, they will refuse your claim and make a silly excuse to avoid the problem. There website Nova direct, is misleading and false advertisement. They have taken £50. Scam company must be investigated into.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Honestly a rubbish company. Nice staff. But no communication at all. Saturday my car wouldn’t start. I call them up pay an excess of £40!!! ( my policy is £37) and then wait. I was on the phone with Advisor 1 (Ja***). After I pay he tells me he will call me back in 15 minutes. Proceeds to call me back 45 minutes later. He then tells me the system would not let him choose which garage. He tells me arrival time for recovery is at 14:08PM. The time i called was 10:00AM. The first garage that he said was right around the corner. I was annoyed. I said ok. He then says the system didn’t let him choose the garage so I had no clue to which garage it was going to. I left like that. I went out, gave the keys to a family member and told them stay by the car. Recovery team (V*Recovery). Worst recovery. I get a call at 2:30 from the driver saying he is 10 minutes away. I said okay. Bare in mind the estimated arrival was 14:08. I call him back and he say 12 minutes. I said to him you said 10 minutes 30 minutes ago. Now the recovery truck arrives and takes the car. You would think that would be the end. But no they take the car and recovery is calling me asking me where they should take the car. I said to them i think the local garage but I don’t know because Advisor 1 (Ja***) said that the system did not let him choose. The recovery team were very rude about it. They tell me to call up breakdown. Could not reach the line. A family member calls me and says recovery brought the car back. I said to her ‘ ask why they brought it back’. They said the garage was ‘full’. I said i will call up breakdown cover later. Now its 7PM and now I call PEX insure and now I am speaking to Advisor 2 (Mi*****). I explained what happened and tells me her manager said ‘it is my responsibility to check if the garage is full’. Advisor 1 (Ja***) did not mention this at all. I asked for a Manager. It is Saturday evening and there are no managers working. I said what about tomorrow (Sunday). She said yes I can leave a note for a manager to call me at 10AM. I stayed awake from 8AM waiting for a phone call. Nothing received. I call up at 11AM and I am speaking to Advisor 3 (Mat***) asking for a manager he asks whats the situation. Now I explain the situation again. Now he tells me that there are no managers working on a Sunday. I was sooooo angry and disappointed. I was told by Advisor 2 (Mi*****) I would get a phone call by a manager. And then Advisor 3 (Ma****) tells me there were no notes left on my claim and it was empty. I was furious. Advisor 3 (Ma****) was the only helpful person. He tells me that a manager will call me first thing in the morning (Monday). Now today is Monday. Waiting for a phone call from 9AM. Get a phone call at 10:22AM from a manager. Manager (Ai***). Sounds promising a manager is finally here. But no nothing got resolved. Explained the situation the 3rdd timeee. She then tells me Advisor 1 (Ja***) is new 🤦‍♂️ and apologises for the miscommunication. I said I am left with a car that doesn’t start. I paid £40 for my car to be taken on a truck and then dropped off and does not work. Apparently Recovery team (V*Recovery) said my family member refused to allow them to take the car to a different garage. In no way was this true. I then ask what happens now. Manager (Ai***) says that the £40 cannot be refunded because it is going to Recovery team (V*Recovery). And that was it. I call back again and ask that I want my policy to be cancelled. She said I have to do it online and theres a cancellation fee of £9.98. I was very angry, disappointed and infuriated. The only person that helped me was Advisor 3 (Ma****). STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANYYYY. THEY CANNOT HELP YOU AT ALL. I AM LEFT WITH A CAR THAT DOESNT WORK AND £40 OUT OF THE ACCOUNT. THANK YOU PEX FOR RUINING MY WEEK

Update Thursday 22nd June got a call from a ‘Senior manager’ who was very rude. Did not let me explain anything and kept interrupting. When I heard Senior manager I thought it would have been resolved but no. Did not let me say my part of the experience. Interrupted me multiple times even though they had asked me to explain. The advisors and managers were nicer than this ‘Senior Manager’. Very Disappointed

Unfortunately my phone was robbed & I didn't look up the reviews when I purchased phone insurance from Nova direct.

Nova direct says you must validate your phone within the first 7 days ( very strange) after you've already given your IMEI number & details. That's how they get you! Form research no insurance company does this, so that's how they scam you!

PEX insure are scammers also! no real customer service, no phone number it says it all!they will interrogate you when you've given them all the information they have asked. Even trying to call you a lyer!

Dodgy dodgy companies! Stay way clear

Karma will catch up to them!

SCAMMERS - STAY AWAY - CHECK WHO IS UNDERWRITING YOUR POLICIES

If I could give less than one star I would. They are scammers. I took out an insurance policy with Nova who use PEX so be careful when taking out your policy with Nova.
I was the victim of a burglary at my work, my gadget was in a closed drawer behind the till at my shop. It was stolen whilst I was less than 1 meter from the drawer dealing with another customer on a busy day and they ran out of the door really quickly.
Pex have refused the claim saying that I am lying about them being able to snatch the phone (even though there is a police report with the facts - I have witnesses from the shop). They also say we must always keep our gadgets 'on your possession' so we are constantly meant to walk around with our pro max sized phones in our hands... IT WAS IN A CLOSED DRAWER... behind a till... It was stressful enough as a small business to have a theft in your store, for them to come into your private space and take something valuable that you rely on so much... to then have to try to run a store for a month trying to chase for the police report myself and be turned down for not literally holding the phone in my hand at all times... HOW UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. I have reported them. My phone was in a closed drawer, I had control over my possessions, what I do not have control over is two men coming into my shop, my private till space and stealing from me. I am shocked about the outcome of my claim, will report it further to stop other people being scammed.

Terrible customer service, poor management and left stranded

'Manager' G**** (who's name has been requested not to be used) called, weeks after I'd been left stranded by Nova breakdown. He very frosty on the phone no customer service, no real reason to call. Told me he was going on holiday so won't be able get back to me anyway for weeks.
I'm now 9 months pregnant and didn't need his cold demeanor on the phone.
Essentially very poor service: broke down in the road, called Nova direct been told after an hour long wait on hold that I'd be picked up within 90 mins. I said I'm 8 months pregnant and as on hold for such a long time with no one answering my phone battery was about to die. I was told someone was definitely coming as id said I wouldnt be contactable after this call. Waited in my car on the road. No one came, so I walked to charge my phone. When I finally got somewhere to change it and turned it on, I'd been left a voicemail saying no one was going to come as I need to pay an excess first (not told this on the phone and was left not knowing that they weren't coming out to me) so was left stranded with them knowing I was waiting, uncontactable.
I got the car towed back myself. When I finally got back in touch with them I requested the transcript of the phone call as I was assured at the time someone was going to assist me (back in april)
The manager G**** (who's name has been requested not to use) called to discuss this (weeks later) and denied that a transcript had been requested, said that no one in his company would assure me with assistance, that they don't have a set time to answer a call. Essentially taking no responsibility for the issue and giving me hassle. Also said they might NOT have the phone call transcript which would be convenient for them as it would prove my case.
I'm skeptical of them not having the transcripts as the manager G**** (who's name has been requested not to use) demeanour was very defensive. I'm sure they'll say they don't and at that point it's my word against theirs. I will take to the ombudsman if it doesn't get sorted.
Manager G**** (who's name has been requested not to use) told me he's going on holiday so won't get back to be RE transcript or my complaint until after he's back, I did ask for another member of staff but was refused plus I asked for an email conformation of that phone call and of the fact I've requested all transcripts twice now. I have yet to receive the email.

No sign of a reply (phone insurance)

It’s been about 2 weeks since I paid the the excess (£150) and sent all documents. Still no word… it says could take up to 72 hours which is laughable. Judging from the rest of the reviews I won’t be receiving any such compensation and am going to have to wait 8 weeks for my complaint to run out. I spoke to citizens advice who have told me to contact the ombudsman after the 8 weeks up. Trying to spread awareness and help anyone else who has been had off by this joke of a company.

Stay away

If i could rate lower i would. I had raise a claim in December 22, they were asking for many different things to able to move forward with my claim. I had paid £50 excess in December. The responses i’ve had from the company have been non existence. I had chosen not to go ahead with my claim due to the lack of service i had received. I have emailed 6 times since January but still have not had a response. I just want a refund. Don’t waist your money on this insurance company, you will not get through to them!!!!

**Update - 21.06.23. They have now asked me for more information, from a review from MARCH and then tried to get my review removed🤣

Avoid at all costs, UNSAFE & UNRELIABLE

Like so many others if I could leave a rating of 0 stars, I would.
Broke down, called for assistance, advised them I had managed to limp of a main road....meaning I coasted! Call handler jumped on the word limp! And presumed my car was in limp mode which it wasn't. Had no power, no accerleration! Wouldn't hear me out or let me speak. I wasn't asked where I was, what mph the road was or who I was with? Spent more time on hold whilst she could find an excuse to reject my call for assistance than actually asking me any details.
Long story short, they left me stranded on a 70mph dual carriageway with two young children in the car. The Police certainly wouldn't have allowed that if it was on the motorway.
Avoid at all costs! Unreliable and unsafe! They don't want to help, they do everything they can to reject your claim! Regardless of yours or anyone else's safety!

YOU LIE! I provided all the details requested through trust pilot. Also sent all my proof through to
trust pilot when you tried to get them to take down my review! How about you cease trading instead of stealing everyone's money and putting people's lives at risk.
You spend more time following all these reviews and arguing them instead of providing a service to people. You are not a service, you're fraudsters!

bunch of liars and scams

bunch of liars and scams , never gonna help out, left me road with the xcuse that I will need special equipment and asked me to another extra £180 for that. Despite paying annual subscription and excess of £40 on that day , left with no help and manager refused to speak with me. Wil take court action against this company and Zego for the service

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Used them through the Nova Direct breakdown cover. what a rip-off! They treat a breakdown like an insurance claim - if it doesn't meet certain specific criteria they won't come out to help you. This is not breakdown cover - it's a total scam. Avoid like the plague!

FRAUDULENT company

Quite honestly, they don't even deserve a score of 1. This company takes your money, with no intention of providing the support you need when you find yourself in a vulnerable position, as I did when I had my bike stolen. It's blatant FRAUD!

JUST DON’T USE THEM REALLY

Well, it has now been 3 months and 9 days since Pex Insure ‘stole’ £150 from my account and refused to return it. And before you reply below, the money has NOT been returned and I HAVE confirmed this with my bank. Please now give it back.

This organisation does NOT respond to emails, they do NOT help on live chat and they do NOT assist if you ring them. Basically, they take your policy premium, they take your excess, they take cancellation premiums, they waste your time, they make it very difficult to cancel and you’re NEVER getting a penny back. They even pass you onto Bumblebee debt collection (which is all part of Nova Direct/ Pex/ Bumblebee) EVEN if you don’t owe money, which I never did. And, trust me, these are not nice people.

Please, please, please do NOT do any business of any nature with this organisation. It’s not enough to take your premium, they will take far more, and you’ll never see it again.

SHAME ON YOU PEX INSURE, SHAME ON YOU.

As I’m clearly never getting my money back, I wish you all a very merry Christmas, a goods night sleep and a dreadful 2023 xxx

AVOID

I never write these reviews but this company needs to be avoided at all costs. Believe the other reviews and do not use this company. It’s basically one bloke managing the company. I purchased gadget insurance, I lost my phone when I went to make a claim you have to pay £50 excess and pay the full policy up front. You then have ridiculous hurdles to jump over before they ( should say before he) even looks into the claim. There’s no way of contacting them other than email. My phone was a brand new iPhone 13 I paid £760 for, I was offered £250 as they said this is the going rate on gumtree. I complained again after I could not find this £250 listing and they never sent me it. I was then offered £350 which I accepted as I knew I was not going to get anything else and I’d already paid out £150 for them to look at my claim. I also have an ongoing case with the ombudsman. This company should not be trading.

FRAUD ALERT! FRAUD ALERT! FRAUD ALERT!
Do not use their service they are fraud literally frauds.I have gadget insurance with them and I didn't make any claim until my phone screen is damaged.After I made the claim with the relevant papers they rejected with a stupid reason.

They charged an excess fee of 150£ and didn't refund it.There is no way you can connect up to their landline.There is no way through to talk to them other than email if you are lucky they answer emails but with no solution.

If there was a no star review I would have given that to this company.

DO NOT USE THEM THEY ARE SCAM!!!

This company is now using another name nova direct i bought car insurance from them in July which I cancelled the next day due to the price quoted online and over the phone which u have to ring them to make live was over £150.00 more than quoted which I said no and I cancelled which they said they will charge me 75.00 cancellation fee it is now been over 4 months I have not received any refund they are saying its been refunded now they are asking for over 500.00 pounds for cancellation off insurance policy there is no way off communicating whith this company which is now going to take me to court for a policy I don't have whith them they have taken my payment off 540.78 and now they want another 565.78 plz stay away from this company I have referred my complaint to the financial insurance Ombudsman also be aware off ticking any boxes before reading there policy its not usual practice than the normal also they will try to gag u not to say anything
