PEX deserve a minus

Can I give PEX a minus? AVOID, AVOID, AVOID PEX Insure, they are a joke company who will do anything to get out of paying out or honouring their policy T&Cs. Please read the other reviews on here, the failures of PEX is a common theme among their policyholders.

DO NOT breakdown because if you have a breakdown policy with PEX, they will ensure they leave you stranded. They refused point blank to call out on a second call to my 98year old father. The operator was rude & unhelpful.

They failed to call out on two occasions, then they had the audacity to send an email to say the first callout was a successfull claim. Their email said - 'Your claims history shows that you have previously made a successful claim against your policy'. I wasn't able to reply because they sent a 'no reply' email.

This proves beyond any doubt they are liars as well as fraudsters and scammers. They do not deserve honest policyholders premiums.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID.

Terrible company

Terrible company. You pay them to tow your car after a breakdown and they don't tow your car when you have a breakdown. They put sneaky small print in place to con you out of doing what you paid for. Lucky car was on the drive at the time or we would have been stranded with no way of having car towed. Had to end up paying local company money to tow car even though I had breakdown with PEX. Stay clear as they just take your money and run. Almost feel like this company was set up to rip people off. Took money from my account last year even though I cancelled policy, have cancelled again this year due to poor service (even though the policy was not up for a few months) but won't be surprised if they end up taking money from account again as the company feels so dodgy

Simply Avoid

Simply Avoid! I made the mistake of taking out a "Home Emergency" Policy. It really isn't worth the paper it is written on.
Had I known the policy (purchased via Nova Direct) was going to be managed by PEX Insure and seen the other reviews, I obviously wouldn't have purchased.
The most ridiculous part- their managers are so busy defending their shoddy product/service, they obviously haven't the time to see that 80% of their customers reviewing them have left them 0/1 star.
Save yourself the bother and don't go near this circus.

Absolute joke

#When they send the Documents to refund you they states that on order to agree the refund you need to remove negative reviews ... Sorry you were mandated under a legally binding contract to refund.... I am not legally bound to remove negative comments... And won't.

If I could in the minus I would.

Called to claim- no response , no email.conformation and no reference.

A week later I called - same thing.

Went online.. was charged £10 to cancel, then started getting threatening emails.

Complaints handler was rude, clueless and had no idea what he was talking about.

Case currently open with FCA.

** Complaint Upheld with the Ombudsman.

Katy from Pex Insure just told me they cannot accept a bank statement as proof of purchase of pay at pump fuel, which they apparently require to "prove" when I last drove my car, then refused to tell me which part of the policy covered this particular nugget before hanging up on me.

Still waiting for recovery.

Insured my phone with them

Insured my phone with them, when it sustained accidental damage it wasn’t actually covered in anyway. So the money is paid was a waste. Bought a new phone, this time insured it with the network company. Twice as expensive but worth it as what’s the point of paying out money for nothing.

Plus the staff are rude and need to work on their customer service skills.

An awful company, avoid at all costs

My experience with Pex Insurance has been a nightmare from start (30th may) to finish (technically still ongoing) First, their communication is abysmal, leaving me in the dark about the progress of my claim.

Then came their insistence on unreasonable requirements, like expecting me to report my stolen phone within 24 hours on a bank holiday to my phone provider when their phone lines were closed early. Despite providing ample evidence, they kept pushing for more, making a stressful situation even worse.

Their demand for a police report became a ridiculous ordeal. South Yorkshire police stated they couldn't provide one, yet Pex Insurance refused to budge until I filed a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

They have denied my claim based on these ridiculous demands.

They have failed to respond to a lot of my emails. When I made a complaint they said I would receive a response by the 6th of December and to date have still not had a reply.

To top it off, they questioned my honesty during a phone call, which was both rude and disrespectful. They have also accused me of lying about my phone signal at a festival by checking the coverage of the festival area after the festival had occurred which does not factor in the congestion what would of been on their phone lines.

If you're considering Pex Insurance, think twice. Their customer service is terrible, and their treatment of policyholders is inexcusable. There are better insurance providers out there who will treat you with the respect and courtesy you deserve.

Avoid this company

Made a claim with this company for pet insurance after my dog was attacked and needed surgery.

They refused our claim because the surgery occurred 7 days after the attack and we made the claim the day after his surgery. Reason for refusal? 'All claims have to be within 48 hours of the event' (???). Senseless and penny pinching. Will be taking this to the ombudsman.

O STARS- AVOID AT ALL COSTS. FRAUDSTERS.

PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH PEX-NOVA DIRECT. SCAMMERS!

I paid up front for my insurance for a whole year a few months ago for an iPhone14pro with NOVA DIRECT/PEX.

My phone was then stolen and they have done everything they can to avoid my case. They make you jump through hoops to get all the info within 24 hours.

They've said that my claim will be significantly affected without a police report but the MET do not give out reports to the victims, only Crime Reference Numbers. I knew this already with family working in the MET. This has gone back and forth for weeks with PEX/NOVA. The police provided emails saying they have never heard of someone needing a report for an insurance claim. They even provided PEX with a phone number in which they could use to gather a report for the insurance claim, but PEX had no interest.

After raising this to the complaints team, Nova direct then said I should've validated my insurance within 7 days. Something that was hidden at the bottom of an email. Bear in mind you've gone through the entire process of purchasing the insurance, filled out everything and provided them with the IMEI number and received the contacts. Just another thing designed to invalidate your claim.

I'm lucky to have a few friends who work and write columns in a few national newspapers and will be raising as much awareness about these fraudsters as possible so others don't find themselves in the same situation.

Next is the Financial Ombudsman along with a solicitor.

If anyone reads this, please take this seriously and do not do any business with them.

EQUALLY STAY AWAY FROM NOVA DIRECT. THEY ARE THE SAME PEOPLE.

Nova Direct

Had a breakdown last night, rang Nova Direct (PEX), took a little while to get through but the man on the phone was great, very pleasant! Sent out recovery who was there within 15 mins! Brilliant service

0 stars! 1 is too good for them.
30 mins to get through, phone keeps cutting out. I asked for recovery assistance, they wouldn’t as my car was in a ditch. I had to get a recovery vehicle to pull it out I of the ditch onto the flat surface and then they would look into it. My recovery vehicle towed the car away and now apex are saying it’s not covered!!

Utter scam, and I have instructed solicitors. You won’t get away with this.

After being badly treating by Pex Insure I took them to the Financial Ombudsman.

It took a whole year, and with plenty of hold ups from Pex I eventually got the money they owed me.

Don't let them get away with the poor customer service they give, stand up for what is right and what you have rightfully paid for with your premiums.

A company I would NEVER touch again!

ABSOLUTELY SCAMMED

ABSOLUTELY SCAMMED.
I paid pet insurance for a whole year. Then made a claim and they told me i had to pay THEM £100 to process the claim. I spent £1700 on my dog’s treatment and sent PEX all my paperwork aswell as the £100 to no avail. It is now October and i placed the claim and paid the £100 in May. Since then i have sent numerous emails asking for updates and then received an email to say my claim had been accepted and they would give me £450 instead of £1700 even though my dog was insured for up to £2000 . But i just wanted an end to it all so agreed. the money has NEVER EVER Came. They made an excuse that they had an incorrect digit on my bank account number.. (2 months ago) since then I have sent email after email and just get generic responses about how i need to contact my bank. To which i have and no deposit was ever made. Now i am being completely ignored. So I’m taking this to ombudsman and FCSA for further investigation. This has caused me so much distress and financial anxiety.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Read all the reviews and take heed!!!
Ok when they taking the money off you. I should of seen the red flag when they asked ME for £100 to process my claim. But i was so upset about my dog i just wasn’t in the right frame of mind!!!
Disgusting customer service…
Should be struck off…. I will also be contacting compare the market and other platforms to inform them of the way this company treats its customers.

Terrible Insurance Company

Arguably, the worst insurance company I have ever come across! I recently made a home emergency claim and it was a nightmare. Firstly it took 30 minutes for them to answer and take my details. Then I was told someone would ring me back to discuss my claim. But bearing in mind this was a home emergency claim, I heard nothing from them for 24 hours! When I rang them back for an update, the lady said although I have rang the home emergency number, they only deal with vehicle breakdown! I kid you not. It was another 24 hours before someone finally got back to me. After some toing and froing with the contractor, I was eventually told that my claim was being denied because their policy does not cover leaking pipes, even though their home emergency policy clearly states they cover leaking pipes. I am actually going to report them to the FCA because they should not be trading.

PEX insure complaints procedure is a joke

Please read my previous review to get context of this review. Using their complaints procedure I made a complaint about their refusal to honour a lost key claim. They informed me that this would take 8 weeks to get a reply. Eight weeks past with no response so I contacted PEX insure and pointed out their error which they admitted too and offered me a paltry £50 good will gesture. This was no where near the amount I had lost on the claim. I refused the offer and they then quickly withdrew it. I have contacted the FCSC about this company and referred them to trust pilot reviews which I believe demonstrates that this company should not be allowed to continue to trade. Please don’t think for one minute that FCSC validation of companies like PEX insure means anything as they agreed with what I had to say but seemingly didn’t want to do anything about it.PEX insure will refute this but I have kept all emails as evidence which I will now forward to the financial ombudsman. They also tried to get my trust pilot review removed(as they will with this one) but credit to trust pilot who refused after I showed them evidence of my dealings PEX insure. Finally going back to when I first made my claim I received a phone call late into the evening from someone from this insurance company. I have to admit I was a little taken aback by his tone and the aggressive, threatening nature of the conversation we then had. Luckily I was in quite a good mood and diffused his aggression with humour and sarcasm. If I get nothing at all from this episode I can take away that I really pissed off this guy from PEX on that evening.

Read before purchasing anything

Do not use this company they are just scam artists they have a get out clause for anything and everything absolute joke left me stranded and they wasn’t even bothered said my policy was void then said I didn’t have one then changed the reason to I hadn’t told them twice what dates I was travelling even though I took out a short term breakdown policy for Europe only to cover the dates I was in France apparently I had to ring and tell them I was intending to travel to Europe before the policy started and then whatever else excuse they could think of everytime I brought up a valid point put a real downer on the holiday but things have a funny way of working and I will be having the last laugh with this company seems like I’m not the only one

They have abandoned my Son in France

They have abandoned my Son in France, he took out a 5 day European travel policy and stated the dates of travel. These dates are stated on his schedule, but somewhere, which where yet to find it, it states that he should of still contacted them to tell them he was travelling on those dates. I am now having to book a day off work, hire a trailer and travel to France to collect him and get him home.
