We absolutely love our desk. It arrived quickly and was easy to build. The boys use it daily for colouring, craft and homework.

I placed an order for a study desk on 24th May. I received a confirmation email saying that the order is being processed and I will receive an email when it has been shipped.

I received another email on May 26 saying that the desk will not be in stock until 10th June. The fact that the desk was not in stock was not specified on their website.

I rang on 9th June to enquire about delivery. The customer service representative checked stock and confirmed that stock had still not arrived in the country and that when it does arrive it goes into Sydney first and then orders are despatched to Brisbane after that. So I was told another 2-3 weeks to wait.

I could not go for that long without an office desk and went elsewhere. I rang and emailed today (10-06) to cancel the order and request a refund back via PayPal.

I was then told that the request would have to go to a manager for approval and that the process would take about a week.

The business should not be selling stock that they do not have on hand. At the very least they should clearly specify when the item will be available.

I have instigated a claim via PayPal and the Department of Fair Trading.

UPDATE: PayPal has now refunded my money 👍👍

I was hesitant to purchase with the reviews here however I ordered and received the following day! Quickest delivery I’ve had for furniture. I’m in Sydney.

The instructions were basic but I got there in the end. My daughter loves the extra storage.

Only a little disappointed that the drawers are on wooden runners and there’s no soft close option, this also means there’s no stopper so if pulled too far the drawers come out. The drawer in the top of the desk is just a pull out drawer, no runners. Also the 2 drawers fronts painted white have excess paint making it not look smooth.

Besides these things my daughter loves her new desk.

This company is legit. I was also worried about a scam as initially there was some issues with the delivery tracking (we are in Melbourne), however the online response was very fast. The desk itself is very good quality and made of solid timber. Assembly was a little tricky but overall we are really happy.

Rang up to get address for Melbourne warehouse. Lady didn’t understand English and gave me address that didn’t match on website. Drove to address on website and it’s an old car dealership. SCAM SCAM SCAM. every time I’ve called cannot get anyone who speaks correct English.

I just left this review on the Oz Study Desks website and I decided to also post it on Trustpilot, as when I checked this page before my purchase, there were only 6 reviews. This review is for the product "Andri Solid Wood Study Desk with Mini Shelf and Drawers/Rubberwood/Home Office Desk/Walnut" "SKU: DM6339-120CM".

If I went back in time to when I was choosing a desk I would still pick this one. It was difficult for me to find a desk in a design I was happy with, and a price that was reasonable for me at this point in time. I love the colour of the wood, the look and functionality of the lower shelf and the top backboard and dividers, and the tapered legs.

That being said, the desk is fairly wobbly and creaky, (shown in video). However, this is mostly when force is applied to the sides of the desk. I haven't noticed much movement while working at the desk.
There is also a deep scratch/dent on top of the backboard (shown in video).
I also would have preferred if the drawers had tracks with stoppers. Having no stoppers on the tracks is more of an inconvenience than it might have been if the drawers weren't as shallow in depth as they are. I hadn't realised the drawers were shallow until I was about to move my stationery into one of them and when I pulled it out too far, it fell on the floor. The drawer landed on my plush carpet but the force still caused one corner to come apart a bit. The two skinny nails holding it together were able to be pushed back into place, and it seems secure enough to stay together now unless I drop it again (apologies for not having a clear photo of the damage).
The drawers are also quite short in height, so it was a small challenge to adjust what I keep in there and how I organise it so the drawers can still fully close. However, I am happy with how they are organised now and I enjoy how the height limit keeps it from getting as disorganised, as I can't dump many miscellaneous things in them.
There have also been a few splinters of raw wood on the drawers getting caught, lifted and peeling off. Luckily I haven't been injured by them but I wouldn't be surprised if that happens in the future.
I went into the purchase aware of quality risks so, for me, the affordability has been worth the challenges and they haven't bothered me much at all.
I also want to mention that I called their number before the purchase to ask what pre-order entails, and the person was very helpful and comfortable to talk to, giving me an estimate on when I would receive the specific item. The order took 4 days longer to be ready to ship than the estimate, which was no issue to me at all.
I'm very pleased with my purchase and it brings me joy to look at, organise, decorate and use. I plan to use it as long as it lives and hopefully I can afford an investment piece in the future, I'm very grateful to have this beautiful desk.

Went to the Archerfield warehouse and even set a designated appointment time. I showed up and I had to wait 20 minutes. Walked in, shouted at the top of my lungs in the warehouse so my voice could reach the other end of it, no one responded. So I call up customer service to see what was going on, someone finally comes out. The guy can't speak a single spick of English whatsoever or understand what I'm saying. Low and behold, they ended up handing me the wrong product, instead a very similar one but even that had missing items from it. Despicable. I heard that Australia is pretty lax when it comes to illegal activity store fronts but it's just too blatantly obvious this is harbouring one of many for the rich mansion owners in Sunnybank.

Ordered from Oz study desks as none of the main retailers would deliver to Adelaide.Arrived within 4 working days assembly a bit hard for a 80 year old but now sitting proudly in my den.

The colour of the product does not meet our expectations, despite the customer service explanation that this is due to the "Natural Colour" of the solid (rubber) wood. Please be advised that returns or refunds are not permitted once the product has been opened. For unopened products, a restocking fee of 20% of the product price will apply, and you will be required to return the item to the warehouse where it was originally collected. Purchased the solid wood study desk. Picked up at Sydney Warehouse (on a Sunday which was super handy), put it together very quickly and easily. Great product for the price. Would have no issue in buying from them again.

Ordered two man desk online on 7th January 2025. Checked trust pilot before ordering and trust score was okay so purchased via PayPal.

On 10th January I realised I hadnot heard anything. Checked trust pilot and turns out a few reviews had pulled trustpilot to low. Slight panic as I saw scam reviews!

I contacted mobile number on website who put me onto Brisbane warehouse. I was able to pick up desk from showroom and was also refunded my delivery charge. The gentleman in Brisbane was very helpful.

Honestly, if you have ordered through Oz Study Desks it is NOT a scam. They have showrooms (we can verify that as fact for Brisbane).

My husband put the desk together easily - the drawers were already built so it was quick.

Looks great and seems sturdy. I love the end of desk nook for bags and the shelf for books underneath desk. Love it so far.
In terms of follow-up care I am editing this to say I have received a text this morning enquiring if I had any questions about assembly - which we didn't but appreciate the follow up. Highly recommend.
