Avoid

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! I paid £75 and on the morning of the appointment they cancelled and despite asking for the refund to be sped up etc they have still not paid me 10 days later despite me chasing it and I’ve had to pay another company as my tenancy was ending. Unacceptable!!

Avoid – Breaching Consumer Rights & Possible Scam Network
I booked and paid in full for two oven cleans with Ovensupport LTD. They failed to turn up on the agreed date and only told me after I chased them that they weren’t coming. They offered the next day instead, which I couldn’t do.

I requested a full refund immediately. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, when a service is not provided on the agreed date, the customer is entitled to a refund within 14 days. They instead told me it would take 28 days, which is unlawful.

After 28 days passed with no refund, I chased them multiple times. Still nothing. I then informed them I would raise a Section 75 claim under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (or a chargeback if paid by debit card). Only then did they email to say the refund would be processed within 15 days – I’ll believe it when I see it.

A quick search on Companies House shows multiple companies linked to the same owner using the “Oven Support” name, operating from different locations but all tied back to the Redditch address – with several of these companies dissolved. This pattern should be a major red flag for anyone considering booking with them.

From my experience, and judging by countless similar reviews, they repeatedly breach consumer law and may be acting in breach of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008. They delete negative comments on social media, block unhappy customers, and don’t allow Facebook reviews – yet the flood of angry emoji reactions speaks volumes.

Absolute scam. Avoid at all costs – and if you’ve been affected, report to Citizens Advice and Trading Standards.

Bad clean

I paced an order to have my son’s oven and hob cleaned as he had just moved into a new flat which was very grubby. I purchased a £40 oven & £10 hob clean. I telephoned because I had requested 8am - 12 noon and was given 12 - 3pm. They said there was nothing they could do which I accepted. On the day the oven cleaning guy was late, so I telephoned again and during the conversation I was told that they had to charge an extra £25 because he lived in a flat. I questioned this and was told that I could have £10 off because I had used them previously. I was not happy but they had my non refundable £25 so I agreed. The guy came and cleaned the oven and hob. The oven looked ok but the hob knobs had not been cleaned. In essence, I paid £60 for a half completed job and would never recommend this company or use them ever again. I cleaned one of the hob dials and it came up sparkling. So I paid for a job not very well done, that I had to finish myself ! It was a Friday, so perhaps he had somewhere else to be. There are companies out there.

Brilliant Customer Service

Firstly, Russell called and then proceeded to do a fast, effective oven clean - can't believe how he got the door off, looks so much better now. I did not need the combo oven/microwave cleaned as it is practically brand new and he agreed so he dealt with head office and it was removed from my invoice, for his honesty and knowledge, I was not only impressed but grateful. Definitely use this company again, Thank You Russell.

9 MONTHS and counting to get…

9 MONTHS and counting to get compensation for my damaged dishwasher front caused by oven spray - so many emails, mostly ignored now - some responded to but still no conclusion.

Don't use these people

Don't use these people. They claim to get your cooker 'spotless' and 'as new'. The booking process was chaotic and times changed at the last minute. The person who came to clean the oven left substantial areas still greasy and unpleasant. He dismantled the oven and when re-assembled the glass on the two doors was loose, resulting in our not being able to use the ovens at all. They offered to send someone else round to assess the repairs but I would not want them anywhere near the cooker after that experience. I made a formal complaint and have still not received reasonable compensation. One of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with.

They were unable to clean the top of the oven so could not do the job at all. There is no mention beforehand that they are not able to clean below the element. The job was cancelled but I have still not received my refund more than six weeks on, despite chasing.

COMMUNICATION

The roof of the oven was was not clean . When I raised the issue , I was informed that this part of the oven could not be cleaned . I was not informed of this limitation before or during the service . I don't recommend this company due to poor communication and incomplete service .

A Pleasure Doing Business with you OVENSUPPORT.UK

From the moment I spoke to the company they were polite , happy and very helpful. They sent text kept in their timeline called exactly when they were 30 minutes away so I could pop out do errands and be back. The guy who came to the house was polite friendly great around dogs and cheerful , and did a spectacular job my oven and fridge has never looked so good .. it’s like new again

I booked a morning visit with Oven Support

I booked a morning visit with Oven Support on the 10th of June, for Tuesday 17th June to clean my oven. I paid £45 as a deposit.
On Monday 16th June, I was called to say my visit had been changed to the afternoon, 12 pm to 3 pm, not overly convenient but went with it. I also paid the remaining £45. On Monday evening, I had an email to say my visit was now between 12pm & 4pm. No longer convenient, I had a dentist appointment at 4.30pm that I wasn’t prepared to cancel at such short notice.
I called Oven Support on Tuesday to say this wasn’t convenient, I explained that the times had been changed. I asked for my money to be refunded. I was told as I was cancelling on the day I would lose £45. I said this wasn’t reasonable as they had changed the times, not me. The “customer care person”, wasn’t interested! She said I could rebook for next week, they had an “open diary” so I asked for the Tuesday morning slot of 24th June. I was then told that I would be contacted on Monday 23rd to confirm the visit & I was told that even though I had requested a morning visit, this may again be changed to the afternoon. I agreed to this, I didn’t really feel that I had much choice.
The following day I emailed to cancel the visit; they emailed to acknowledge the cancelled visit. I emailed them to ask for a full & immediate refund, I didn’t receive a reply, so I emailed them again on Thursday still no response to my 2nd email. I called the company on Friday & asked for accounts, I was told that it would be 28 days for a refund. When I explained that it took seconds to take both payments, to book a service that didn’t happen, I asked why it would take so long to issue a refund. The response was “ that is the system”. I told accounts that if I didn’t get a confirmation email of my refund by 5 Pm I would contact Amex for an instant refund & I would leave a poor review. Amex are looking at the situation, I sent Amex the emails for proof…. And this is my review.
I only gave a 1 star as I couldn't leave a NO star rating!
Stay away from this company, it seems that his could be their business model!

THEY cancelled app ...still no refund!

I booked an appointment made arrangement to be in. On the appointment afternoon I had a call to say tradesman had got held up and couldn't come. I felt pressured to make appointment for a few days later which i shortly afterwards realised wasn't convenient so had to cancel....NOW still trying to get a refund despite chasing twice..

Oven was cleaned appallingly had to spend and hour finishing it off myself and to top it off thr cleaner (use that word loosely) walk dog mess all over my house! You provide pictures for then only to ask if you want a reclean? When you don't they ignore you. They even had the audacity to take a monthly direct debit out or annual clean even though I cancelled it. Kept all my money.

My first appointment was cancelled because the person coming to clean the oven was unable to come. It was rescheduled for the next day and when the cleaner did not arrive by the end of the morning, I was told they were unable to track him down and it was highly unlikely he would arrive. I decided the company was too unreliable.
They appear to have an antiquated payment system and now I have to wait up to 28 days for a refund.
They insist on payments up front and give a hard sell for cleaning other items.

this is a warning for people not to deal with tis scam company , i ordered and paid for an oven clean and two silicon oven mats online to be fair they did clean the oven , but i have been waiting over a month for the oven mats i have called a few times to be told they are in the post on my last call i asked for a refund for the mats and was told i will have to return them first when i explained i cant return them as i havent recieved them i was told until i return them i cant get a refund when i said what happens if i never get them i was told then i can never get a fefund so once again do not deal with this company just a scam .

Booked for morning appt for today between 9am and 12pm. Text at 08:23 saying cleaner running late!! Found this at 10:20 and called customer services. She said she’d checked with Lewis, he had one customer ahead of me, and he’d be with me at 1 pm and would call half hour before. At 1:45 called customer services again, spoke to Robbie who said he’d sort out refund of deposit, apologised and said he’d sent an email, no sign of it yet.
Having read the reviews on here of actual oven cleans, I think I’ve had a lucky escape! even if I do lose the £32:50 deposit. Somehow didn’t see these reviews when I was researching who to use….
Agree that this is probably a scam. AVOID.

Ridiculous driving

The driver of one of their vans (YB63 UVS) pulled out right in front of me then decided to 'brake test me'- (I was driving a fully laden 3.5 t flatbed) He opened his door and grunted like a caveman 'why did you blow your horn and flash your lights'. He then carried on, driving at 10 mph below speed limit, obviously a sad attempt at annoying me further. Just imagine having this neanderthal cleaning your oven!. I sent the footage from my dash cam to the director. No response. Not surprising looking at the bad reviews about Oven support.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

russel came to clean my oven on friday16th april he damaged my neff hide and slide door and buckled the actual oven frame. left me with an unusable oven as the door was jammed halfway in. was told a more experienced cleaner would call on the following monday. patrick came on the monday he had not been told anything and was here to just clean the oven. he phoned the office and was asked to send photos which he did and then checked to make sure they had been recieved. i telephoned several times and was told they were looking in to it and i also emailed had no reply untill a telephone call today
(one month later) saying they had a few dates for an engineer to come and have a look at the oven.
i told them i already have had an engineer out and was told the oven was unrepairable due to the damage that russel had done. so i had no choice but to buy a new oven as i have a family to feed and its not easy without an oven. so they were expecting me to wait even longer to arrange an engineer from them to come and just look at the damage and then wait even longer for them to decide what they were going to do about it. IT HAS TAKEN THEM A MONTH TO GET BACK TO ME NO REPLY TO PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS UNTILL NOW. THEY HAVNT EVEN HAD THE DECENCY TO REFUND THE £50 I PAID FOR THE OVEN CLEAN THAT DIDNT HAPPEN
STILL AN ONGOING SAGA STILL WAITING FOR THEM TO GET BACK TO ME .
