Paid for 2 hold bags, but it was cabin bags that ended up on our booking. Impossible to speak to anyone on the phone, AI chatbot doesn’t understand when you have a query out of the ordinary and won’t put you through to a human being. Finally managed to speak to someone on their Facebook page and all they were interested in doing was blaming us and trying to pass us to the airline, despite us paying our money to on the beach, not the airline. Offered us a tiny refund that wasn’t even close to an amount that would have gotten us the 2 hold bags we’d already paid them for! Definitely be using love holidays, easyJet, jet2 etc for future holidays. Shocking service. Very short sighted

It was easy enough to book the holiday but disappointed that it didn't include transfers...
We are pensioners and getting sorted with transfers could be difficult.

I need to make a change to a flight . I didn’t confirm flights so I needed to do this . Bots!! Dont understand a word . Worst experience of my life xx no humans to talk to . I am at my wits end . I don’t know what to do . After 3 attempts … with a wait time of 2 hours each time I finally got through to an agent called Iury.s who promised me that she would sort everything out . That didn’t happen . Back to live chat again next day … after 2 hours got through to Kim who said I would be getting an ema from retentions crew … still no email .
Back to live chat again for another 3 hours and got through to Monika who promised me everything would be sorted . Booking would be cancelled and to wait for email .. still no email .
My main point in all of this is I DID not confirm flights on the booking .. I wanted to change them to another airport Shannon on September 2 for 10 nights . So all in all a very frustrating experience. I am waiting for a reply from retentions team
Since I wrote this review the problem has been sorted . Thank you On the beach .,But it has to be said it took me nearly 2 days to get problem sorted . The wait times are way too long to talk to an agent . I am thankful that this has been sorted

I've booked a holiday through Sunshine holidays Ref number SUN14942877B, the paper work that was emailed to me has all the flight details missing, I looked in My bookings on the app, and its the same, no flight details, I then tried to call the company but that was just a wast of time, i then chatted with a supposedly live chat, but its nothing more than a robot, which told me that he couldn't find my flight details either and proceded to ask if I'd like a refund but also told me that flights can'tbe refunded,what a joke, all of this is disgusting there should be a live person who you can speak to, to sort things out, this is the first time booking with Sunshine holidays and it will be the last, if its not sorted out I will be claiming all moneys paid back through my bank. Update, One the Beach sent new paperwork through but still no flight details, what a compleat waste of time, UPDATE, why on earth would i book just a hotel on a package holiday. Update, why on earth would I book just a hotel in a package holiday, your findings are wrong.

Non-existent “after sale” customer support service.
Sold me a con holiday pack paid over ?1,640 for a all inclusive holiday that was a huge disappointment from location to services, from food to drinks provided (to which they told me was my problem as clearly the issue was my own taste….never heard that said to an Italian before), from inability to communicate with anyone to NOT get any local support at the resort (no one, and I mean NO ONE, spoke a word of English, not even a reception).Stay away from these cowboys
My experience with them ways being dishonest, deceitful and we lack of empathy when you contact them. Here is the list of lies and misleading info they give me:
1. Beach shuttle to get you there in a jiffy – LIE; the bus service isn’t on until middle-end of June
2. Kids' pool with waterslides – yes they are there but they don’t open until June/July, so again LIE
3. Rooms with coffee & tea set up; LIE, there is no kettle in the room and if you ask reception they answer you, they don’t give any.
4. Food & Drink, when contacted them via WhatsApp to report my disappointment about the horrifying level of food, they dismissed me saying its down to personal taste, didn’t realise they employed Michelin start chefs to answer food questions??!
5. Sports & Entertainment – conveniently they don’t tell you that the slides and pools are closed until June/July, but they include them as a perk in their services; the fitness centre is a HUGE LIE…..you will find three benches, two set of dumbbells and two un-even set of free weights
6. Free mobile data – never received it or able to claim it; again when WhatsApp them they shift the blame that their email (which they never sent) may have gone in my spam folder, despite receiving all the booking emails fine and in my inbox without any issues, but conveniently the “fake perks” chose to end up in peoples spam folders. They kept asking me to speak with the local rep who did not speak a word of English. I, we, never felt so manipulated, offended, intimidated but their response and actions like this before. Imagine being stranded in a country you cant speak with anyone, and the “so called” support you paid for ignores you virtually when you raise your concerns and issues by leaving to your own device….imagine paying someone ?1,640 and been ignored when its their turn to pull their part…..imagine that….Appreciate they are NOT as high level service and professional as TUI, BA or Love Holidays but this is worrying.
We never felt so frail and scare NOT to be able to even ask for direction in a resort that its sold as a 5 stars…..on the beach has no idea what it means to spend 7 days in a place with two small and scared children where you are unable to communicate with someone with the fear that if you ask for something you may be given something that could harm you, but course they don’t care…they even coming across rude and abusing in their replies when communicate via WhatsApp….when they do response…..thinking they can manipulate you ad scare you with their scaring tactics for their con holiday package they sold me. keyboard warriors, thinking they were going to scare me or intimidate me with their rude approach and aggressive tone. Pathetic little people trying to intimidate people into telling them it was their fault, but not being big enough to own up to their actions and face it when you dare to complaint.
Anyone that wants to have a look feel free to reach out, the more I share these with the more I can warn people about the place and services offered (both by the hotel and on the beach after sale communication).
These will also be available on social media and my you tube channel, so again anyone that wants to see what I am referring to, happy to share! This is UK, not the Far West.

Good competitive prices but very frustrating not being able to speak to a human as online querys never fit the prescribed format and everyone hates 'talking to' an AI bot. Also the phone options are the same as the website so you waste time going around in circles

We went on holidays with On the Beach last year and everything went well. We had access to chat to discuss any additional requirements. We are going again to same location this year and have used On The Beach again. I like being able to book online from one place and being instantly able to see what any changes to the booking impacts the cost of the whole holiday so I can choose best dates and times to travel.

3/04/26 Again, no refund available despite onthebeach informing me that it was, tried to engage with their live chat, was told that it not available. Avoid this company they have charged me for a service which i did not receive & have not given me my money back yet!! At this stage now I'll have to seek legal advice. What an absolute mess by On The Beach. Still no communication from them, no accountability & no apology.
2/04/26, Again, I had to reach out via live chat regarding my refund, was informed that my refund was processed & ready to collect, more gaslighting from onthebeach, refund not ready to collect. Still waiting communication from this company regarding my situation, no accountability, no apology, no refund. I have spend almost a week now waiting for flight confirmations which did not come as flights were not booked and my refund. Onthebeach.ie continue to ignore their customer. Be warned ⚠️
1/04/26 Despite onthebeach reaching out to Trustpilot for my contact details, there has still been no contact from onthebeach & still no refund!!!! I have just received an email stating that my holiday is cancelled due to me 'ghosting them'!!!! I actually am speechless!! Avoid this company!!
Update to response, my flights were never booked by onthebeach as per our contract, no one contacted me to inform me about this despite me asking for confirmation and having paid for flights ! Instead they charged me a service fee of over €1100. I had to keep contacting them, no accountability, no apology, wanted me to pay additional money for new flights due to their mistake, offered refund, still awaiting refund. Obviously no holiday! Two very disappointed children! I would advise NEVER to use this company.
If I could leave no stars I would about our recent & ongoing experience with onthebeach.ie
I booked a family holiday, flights & hotel. I received an order request email & a confirmation email was to follow within 48 hours. I received the confirmation email stating that the hotel had been reserved, but no flight bookings. The full amount had already been taken out of my account. On the email it had charged me over €1100 for a service fee.
I engaged with the live chat which was unable to help me in any way, it just kept sending me this same confirmation booking email with no flight bookings. I continued to ask for my flight bookings, but I never received them. I asked to speak with someone, but was told that this is the only communication they have. I rang the helpline number provided on their website, it did not ring, but a message came on saying 'number not recognised'. DO NOT use this service, they have taken the full amount agreed for hotel & flights from my bank account and we have no flights, I cannot contact them and they have charged me a service fee of over €1100 for reserving a hotel which cost less than this!

Left stranded at Tenerife airport until we found our driver. Hotel was ok, staff were nice, food not so good. When we checked out, we were not told that our transfer would not be picking us up at the hotel so we missed it and had to pay 40€ for a taxi which we will need On The Beach to pay for so contact us.
