The guys from Olympia were absolutely incredible - they turned up time. They were fast and efficient and incredibly helpful throughout- they had a great work ethic and were friendly to boot! Can’t recommend them enough thank you!!

The move went less than smoothly due to it being from Wiltshire to Cumbria. I am disabled, and Bill assured my husband and I that his men would do everything for me, as my husband was in Cumbria. My son in law had to come and help, as it was chaos; house items left behind, packing stuff all over the house. It was awful.
Due to my disabilities, and my husbands 4 on/4 off work schedule, (he is my carer as well) unpacking took longer that the allotted time (although I still have no idea what that is!)
We finally got to take a holiday after moving; it had been rebooked months previous due to a covid travel ban.
Once we realised Items were missing from our belongings, no matter how hard we tried, Bill refused to take calls.
And below is the response from him to our insurance claim

Hi Michael,

I HAVE READ YOUR EMAIL AND IN ALL HONESTY I HAVE NOT READ SO MUCH PARTS OF WAFFLE, FABRICATION AND EXCUSES IN MY LIFE.

The house in wilton was not left empty as you were made aware of on the day we moved out,  refusing to accept that items were left and that had to be thrown away as there was no possibility of moving them ourselves, your staff had not checked it at all.  YES YOU DID SAY YOU THREW ITEMS OUT/TIPPED BUT ITEMS YOU DID NOT WANT YOU PAID 4K ON A LARGE MOVE 600 MILES. YOUR WIFE AND SON WAS LEFT IN THE HOUSE FOR THE VERY PURPOSE OF MAKING SURE WE TOOK EVERYTHING WHEN WE PULLED AWAY. 

And who is to say what happened to our belongings on the 2 trucks that broke down on the way up to our new home?  Are you suggesting that we didn't have a breakdown, we can prove the breakdown companies came and 1 of the items you say you lost was a 5k bottle of brandy ETRE NO.1 WORTH 5K TO GET....THEY CAN BE FOUND 2K ONLINE...ARE YOU SUGGESTING WHILE BROKEN DOWN ON A HARD SHOULDER WE OPENED THE BACK UP OF THE 2 LOADS AND WAS STEALING STUFF....HAVE YOU PHONED THE POLICE??  COULD YOU HAVE THROWN IT OUT ACCIDENTALLY?? MAYBE WE DUG A HOLE IN THE GRASS AND DROVE BY TO THAT VERY SAME SPOT TO COLLECT ANOTHER TIME??

My wife and I already had a booked holiday and we were away for 26 days through August and September. WOW THIS I TRULY AM AMAZED....SO EVEN THE MOST LOGICALLY THOUGHT OUT SCENARIO MUST HAVE BEEN I NEED TO GET UNPACKED ASAP TO CHECK EVERYTHING IS OK....WILL DELAYING AFFECT THE VALIDITY OF MY CLAIM??....SHOULD I GO ON HOLIDAY...IS THERE URGENCY TO GET UNPACKED FIRST?? SHOULD I GET MY SON OVER, FRIENDS/FAMILY,  I WORK 48 HOUR SHIFTS THAT WORKS IN OUR FAVOUR AND SHOULD HAVE WORKED IN YOURS TO UNPACK...THEY ARE CALLED CONTINENTAL SHIFTS 48 HOURS 4 DAYS ON 3 DAYS OFF....AND OVER 3 MONTHS IS SO HARD TO BELIEVE EVEN WITH LIMITED HELP FROM WIFE, BUT SHE CAN STILL HELP, SHE CAN STILL CAN UNPACK A BOX...

The driveway and Oil slic, which we paid £400 for a guy to come over 2 days and have pictures of how clean it was and you work/or have worked with oil stated it is really difficult to get 100pc out but you said you were satisfied as we are.

YES WE DO BEND OVER BACKWARDS TO KEEP A COMPANY HAPPY BUT IN LIFE ITS HELP US BY HELPING YOURSELVES....

Take an absolute age to unpack, GO ON HOLIDAY, BLAME WORK, BLAME LIFE...sorry but you invalidated the chance of a claim no one else.

An indirect accusation about what happened when trucks broke down and how believable it is on hard shoulder. You know deep down you had many chances to blast through the boxes but chose not to...WHY WOULD YOU LET THE VANS LOADERS GO IF STUFF STILL THERE...

moved from Maidenhead to Banbury yesterday. Olympia Removals helped us all the way. The communication and organisation was perfect from start to finish and the 3 guys sent to actually complete our move were fantastic: they were fast, efficient and careful with everything and were very personable and friendly throughout. It was so good to have such empathy and professionalism on such a potentially stressful day for us. Couldn't have asked for more. Great job.

I note the poor review below and my heart goes out to them as moving house is stressful enough even when it goes right. Having said that I can only comment on my experience which was extremely positive. My son used the same company last year and at both times the team were very professional and polite; on time and no request was too much. From my perspective, I would highly recommend this company.

We had to clear my late father's cottage which was a gruelling experience. A local and well-respected removal company had let us down at the last moment and completion date was non-negotiable. Our buyer put us in touch with Olympia Removals and Bill who project managed our move. He is a good communicator and costs were clear as were how and when to pay.
We were late meeting the removal team due to a hold up on the M3; they did not make a drama out of this crisis although they had to wait an hour and dodge traffic wardens until we got there and opened the gate for them. They were well prepared, careful how they packed our property and worked their socks off. They did not have branded Olympia Lorry but both teams, over the two days they were with us, worked hard, were careful and kind. Bill and his team have a 'can do' attitude which was a breath of fresh air. I really do thank them as my stress levels were beginning to go through the roof. Happy to recommend.
P.S since I wrote the above - I had feedback from the auction house who received house contents. They were also impressed how helpful the team was and are also happy to recommend Olympia Removals & Storage.

Olympia Removals have been spot on during my moving process.

Due to new build handover delays, my moving date changed 3 times and in the end everything had to go into storage - Bill (Project Manager) was spot on and accommodating when dealing with these changes and had new quotes sent out within minutes, there were no complaints when having to change the dates / location.

On the day, the removals staff arrived promptly and by midday the whole process was completed. They handled my belongings with care and assisted with packing tips for items such as paintings that needed bubble wrapping for the journey. Everything was packed up for the journey quickly and nothing has been damaged.

Highly recommend this company and will be using again - many thanks to Bill and the team.

I used Olympia Removals in June for my first big move from a first floor flat to a house. The quote was competitive when compared with other local companies. Mo, Assa and Charlie were fantastic. They were friendly and polite and made the task look effortless. Bill was very communicative and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a removal service.

Team of guys showed up, cleared the house in no time at all, packed everything into 2 vans, drove 4 hours, and unpacked the whole lot. Very professional and never moaned once (despite the steps up to the flat at the other end). Thank you very much.

Yes, the bubble-wrap took far too long to turn up and the guys doing the job were 90 minutes early on the day, but the company stuck to the price quoted, did an efficient job on the day, and (even when there were a couple of hitches) Bill co-ordinated the entire operation in a gracious, friendly and professional way. I am very likely to use their service again.

Can’t really fault the removal itself. 4 chaps arrived at the agreed time & loaded us quickly and smoothly. No issues the the removers were polite and positive. At the other end, they decanted out belongings, re-assembled the larger furniture items and were on their way by 3.30pm. Happy days.

I see the point below about WhatsApp communications. Yes it takes some getting used to if you tend to converse in email. However, these chaps are not sitting in front of computers all day like many of us.

Very happy with Olympia Removals! On the removal day the team worked non-stop, carefully moving and loading my furniture, they listened to my instructions even though we had a screaming upset baby on the day. I could not ask for anymore. Definitely recommend!

Olympia have moved our belongings from Reading to Basingstoke .
Guys were very polite and friendly . They stacked items and furniture very carefully and later unloaded it to desired rooms.

I am very happy with the service, i was booking later than i would have liked the quoting process was quick, easy and accurate for the size of Van i needed.

Everything went smoothly with communication pre-move and the team that came were friendly and efficient. I had some high value items that were packed and moved carefully. The price was very good and i have no reason not to recommend them.

Easy and flexible booking, Bill was so helpful and easy to communicate with. The two guys who moved for us where really good and quick and didn't mind that we had to wait a while for our keys. Would definitely recommend.
