The camera stopped working when our little one was 17 months old and we only bought it right before she was born. Told it was outside of the warranty period of 12 months and to purchase a new one. Rea... Mehr ansehen

Profiting on Parent Fear/Concern over child welfare
Have you spent £250-£300 on a Nanit camera/bundle? How about an extra £60 for nanit’s terrible quality pyjamas?
Now you want to know if your child is breathing or not using Nanit’s patented technology using the products that you’ve already paid them for? Seems like reasonable expectation…
But NO. Unless you pay Nanit MORE MONEY in subscription fees, they will not tell you if (or at what rate) your child is breathing, when your child fell asleep, how long they slept for, or provide any insights into sleep data.
Live feed freezes all the time (I have high-speed fibre broadband) and it’s difficult to turn white noise on which can be INCREDIBLY DISRUPTIVE to bed time routine.
The worst product I have purchased so far in my parent journey.
I would not recommend this to anyone.
The level of greed and extortion is quite simply incredible.
Regularly will not connect
The main and significant issue with Nanit is that it very often simply will not connect, as many other reviewers have stated. Given this is a baby monitor that’s a pretty critical and basic feature that should work all the time. Both my wife and I often just cannot connect to the camera on the app and we then mess around trying to get it to reconnect. Put baby to sleep, get him ready and leave the room to put the white noise on and, no wait, won’t connect. So we have to turn on YouTube and leave our phone in his room - what a complete waste of time. It’s not our Wi-Fi either as we have a Tapo camera in the kitchen for our dog and yep, works every time. We’ve since bought one for his room as well which costs roughly ten times less then we paid for Nanit Pro but it does connect every time. Nanit really need to sort this out as it’s a fundamental feature. As many people have said you have to pay up after 12 months to keep the memories which didn’t go down well. All in all we’ve found the issue with connecting to render the whole thing completely worthless. Would definitely not recommend one.
Key features moved behind a paywall
Similar to lots of the other reviews below I was very unpleasantly surprised when one day all of the features suddenly went behind a paywall. We had been loving it before that.
Biggest loss was the ability to see what had happened a few minutes before. If you are in another room and get a notification of sound/movement you want to be able to see what happened. Now all you can do is see the live feed. I can see why some premium features were add ons (breath tracking, big data storage) but surely you can give users 5mins of history so they can see what happened to have them notified... this was originally sold to us as part of the package and the reason why we purchased Nanit over others
way to expensive, features require subscription
Pros: Camera works on wifi and with phone apps
Cons: Standard features require subscription service, features have been taken away.
has to be plugged in to work
replacement stand is £150?!?! expect your child to knock this over at least once. broke immediately
Extremely expensive, left with no features!
The camera is good but once the year is up, you have to pay £104 to view camera motion and other basic features... For the cost of the camera you expect this as the basic features permanently! I would avoid as this wasn’t made clear when purchasing. The camera itself is already expensive for the market. Seems very greedy to me…
ROBBERY
Best Camera on market?!
DEFINITELY NOT!
Product reviews rate this as smtn amazing- I wonder for what amount of commissions…..???
You cant even look back few min to see what happened without paying couple of hundred extra for this premium feature lol
In short- if you feel like throwing out £300-£500 for the first year and then keep paying £100-£200 annually to keep the features working as more then just live feed, then this is camera for you! 😂
I bet the £25 gadgets on Amazon are better!
Been using it for 9months now- waiting for that wow moment but nothing.
Most annoying of all is that camera is supposed to detect movement and it often doesn’t. My baby stands up in the crib and calls out and I can hear it in the next room and only as I already make my way over the notification comes. But when there is literally no-one in the room I keep getting notifications of movement. Check the video and absolutely nothing. Not even a flicker of curtains…
Solid product (so far) but truly awful customer service
Nanit is a product marketed and sold to expecting and new parents. My wife and I decided to splurge and purchase the wall mount Nanit before our son was born. We then concluded that the floor mount option was a better solution for us and ordered the floor mount version.
Not long after we purchased the second camera, our baby arrived premature (he is completely fine, fortunately). It was a hectic few weeks, as one can imagine. One of the first things we did after settling in at home was to reach out to Nanit to return the (very expensive) wall mount camera (which was in its original packaging, completely untouched) that we no longer needed.
We were told that we are beyond the 45 day return window, so we would not be able to return the (very expensive) camera. First and foremost - it is absurd (I have more colorful language that I'd like to use here...) for a company that sells to expecting and new parents (read: people with a TON going on and very unpredictable lives) to have an iron clad and very short return policy.
We explained our situation and they would not budge. We worked with a representative named Diego Galeano who informed us that he "dislikes the outcome" as part of a message basically telling us to f off.
Reminder - we were returning the camera because we bought a second camera from the same company. The camera is still in its original packaging.
All of this to say, the company has a predatory return policy that is enforced regardless of situation and probably designed to take advantage of people going through the most unpredictable times of their lives.
Summary: Would not buy again based on this awful experience. There are plenty of other options out there. Leaves a truly awful taste in one's month to spend this much money on a camera and for the company to flip you the bird when you try to return the camera you didn't end up using as soon as you can following a difficult delivery + post partum process.
Poor Customer Service
We purchased a Nanit pro with the stand, and were very pleased with it at first.
However, the stand developed a fault and the temperature/humidty stopped displaying - This was in the middle of winter, making it very unsafe for our child to sleep in the room, given we had no idea what the temperature of the room would be.
We reported this to Nanit who started a process under the 1 year warranty - However, the communication between us and Nanit took us over the one year date (our fault, given we are new parents!) and Nanit would no longer honour the warranty as it was over a year - Despite the fault developing well within the warranty period.
A decent product, but buyer beware - Pray it doesn't break!!!!
Nice system but you have to pay
Nice system. Everything you “liked” or “saved” goes away the second your child turns 1 year old. Then even a notification that you missed from 5 minutes ago requires you to pay for an annual plan. Crazy for how much you pay for the entire system. I’m pretty sad about it to be honest.
The camera we bought just gets worse…
The camera we bought just gets worse every week unable to connect forgets network won’t switch off via the app. I imagine it would work perfectly if I purchased a subscription off them….. awful product not worth the money far better options on the market for a fraction of the price
Nanit Plus Camera poor quality
We’ve had our Nanit Plus Camera for four years. It started out as a great camera for our first child with excellent image quality and relatively good connectivity. We used the wall mount mainly. We also used the included one year subscription and paid for one additional year, but didn’t find we needed it after that. The subscription part is a bit expensive but gave us good piece of mind. The big negative of this camera is the price point for the quality you get/customer service you receive. The wall mount randomly stopped working after two years and support wasn’t able to help us besides offering us a 15% discount on a new one. We were disappointed but decided to buy it because we found the wall mount worked best with the crib. Fast forward to our second child four years after we bought the Nanit. Right when we needed it again the Nanit stopped working when he was 2 months old. The red infrared lights stay on all the time and the unit is otherwise completely unresponsive. Nanit support offered a few ineffective problem solving solutions and then suggested we buy a new one because it is out of warranty. Unfortunately, a number of forums suggested many people have experienced the same problem with no solution. So we decided to go with a much cheaper highly rated Amazon camera and are very satisfied.
So if you need a camera and don’t think you will need it to function more than a few years I would recommend this one . But if you are hoping to get use for longer then I would avoid the Nanit based on the quality and the lack of ability for customer service to be helpful.

The camera stopped working after a few days. Filled in an online customer service form and got no response. Tried the UK helpline and went to voicemail. Guess I'm gonna have to return via Amazon
12 months with a nanit
12 review of the Nanit Pro.
I'm left feeling extremely disappointed.
First annoyance is clearly this product is made by Americans who don't realise outside of America people don't use MOM.....
The image quality of day and night is good however was prone to buffering issues over WiFi which left it at times 10 seconds out of sync with the app annoying but a quick close of the app and open usually rectified this. Not quite what you would expect when buying a supposed premium product.
Accessing away from home including the microphone was actually really good and this was definitely a pro and I have to give credit for the cloud based access!
The massive downside is you pay a premiun price for what I class as medium market goods as it requires heavy investmemt to make the most of all the features available which truly place it into the premium market. I stuck with what came witht the nanit but found at the end of 12 months you can't even see how long your child slept so annoying as I have to subscribe to view this.
Based on the original price and the over priced subscription services I can not recommend this product as its just not worth it regardless of financial position.
Absolutely the worst camera on the…
Absolutely the worst camera on the market. If I could I'd give negative starts and would stand outside of their company with banners asking them to go out of business, hope one day they will and hope that day will be very soon.
I’d give negative stars if I could
I have been in touch with customer services today re my nanit which is just over a years use…majority of people buy these things months before expected arrival to prepare but naturally nanit start the clock from when it’s in the box at home collecting dust. We had it up using the stand, and Baby has stood up knocked it once and whilst the camera is fine the plastic is so cheap it’s shattered at the base of the stand and meant the whole thing collapsed. Lucky it didn’t fall on the baby but you can see where it’s split how poor quality plastic is used and barely had any impact as it was the base part that got knocked. Long story short the customer service ask you for a raft of details to give you a generic response of here’s a link to buy a new one! Like I’d be stupid enough to spend £350 on a gimick like this again. This is my third baby so we bought the camera to update but honestly ladies and gents don’t waste your money. Unless you pay monthly you don’t get the updates of how long baby has napped for or history of movements so you are basically paying for just a camera as none of the features work or are any different unless you pay extra every month. Rip off merchants
Was the perfect cam till last week
Was the perfect cam till last week. Now its unreliable crap from garage. Garbage
Support is horrendous
Support is horrendous. The product is good but sleep tracker stopped working for me and the Support team simply haven't responded (I've chases 3 times in 1 week).
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever! I get a guy who can barely speak English and before he can help me he has to read me some promotional info. Claims he can't help me until I say yes to accepting 'free' coupons. I tell him NO. After going back and forth numerous times he won't help me! I emailed company and am waiting for response. I am so sick of this corporate disregard of customers. I am not going to let this go - no matter what I have to do!
The customer service is HORRENDOUS
The customer service is HORRENDOUS. It is impossible to reach anyone by phone and I have had no response to multiple emails. Currently my nanit is not working at all. I would expect better customer service from a company, the “ Experiencing higher volume in calls” is getting OLD. A customer makes a purchase they expect service not to be placed on hold numerous times for well over 45 minutes and this is no joke. I do not have the time for this kind of service or should I say NON-SERVICE. REQUESTING A REFUND.
Worst customer service
Worst customer service - we had a damaged product not reading temps correctly and we were asked to send about 4 pieces of info for a replacement. If you are out of the return window - forget it. They clearly don’t understand most parents get this product well before baby is born, move on to owlet it’s feature actually check the heart heart of child not guesses with fabric.
