i receive a $100 gift card but i still have to pay $80 to receive anything? it’s stupid why would i want to pay that much money with my gift card? maybe even let me choose a couple wines because what person other than an alcoholic wants 8 wines at once. you should let me use the $100 how i want

Hi there, just to clarify, our vouchers work a little differently from a standard gift card: they apply a $100 discount to a full case of premium, independent wines.
There is a minimum spend of $155.88.
You definitely don't have to enjoy them all at once, though! They will happily sit in the rack or pantry for your next weekend BBQ or dinner with friends.
If you want to see how you can customise a case to suit your taste, send us a DM and we'd be happy to help.
Such a scam.
Such a scam.
I cancelled my subscription a long time ago, only to later realise I was still being charged $40 every month for something called “Angel Perks.” Instead of properly cancelling the subscription, they seem to hide this option somewhere in the unsubscribe process and continued taking money from my account without my knowledge.
By the time I noticed last week, I had already been charged over $140. I then felt forced to spend even more money just to meet their minimum spend requirement so I could at least recover the value in bottles of wine I never intended to buy in the first place.
To make matters worse, after carefully selecting my order, they sent me 3 bottles I did not choose without any notification first.
This kind of practice feels extremely misleading and should be illegal.

I’ve been dealing with Amber from Naked…
I’ve been dealing with Amber from Naked Wines after receiving a random call from her ( been with Naked for a couple of years ) and frankly she has been terrific.
She is as good at her job as the wines that are delivered.
We all take the time to complain when we receive poor service, well I’d like to reverse that trend a bit and speak highly of Amber, the wines and the service I get through this company.
Just upped my monthly contribution because we’re so happy with the wines we run out sooner than we used to….and it’s winter….and (insert excuse here) ….and because…..

Hi Mick,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience! We completely agree. Amber is a superstar, and we’ll make sure she sees this. She’ll be thrilled to know her call hit the mark and that she could help you out.
We also love your "excuses" for upping the contribution. Winter, empty racks, or just a Tuesday, they all sound like perfectly valid reasons to us! 🥂 Thanks so much for your going support.
We’re so glad to have you as a long-time Angel. Enjoy the new bottles, stay cozy this winter, and... hiccup... cheers!
Best,
The Naked Wines Team

Hi Joe, thanks for your feedback. Just to clarify, the voucher is designed to give you a significant discount on your first order rather than cover the full cost outright, which is why there’s a minimum spend.
If you’d like, we can help find an option that feels better value for you. If you consider, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team on 1300 898677 (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm).
Tricky Advertising
i bought movie tickets, then at checkout it had a pop up saying I have $100 to spend with naked wines, so i go and sign up and do a quiz and it gives me 12 bottles as a welcome pack. $179 but it's only $79 coz of my voucher. So i googled the welcome box, and it's normally $89. So dodgy! Advertising like this is surely illegal.

Hi Hazal, thanks for reaching out. We totally get why that felt confusing, it actually comes down to two separate promotions running at the same time.
The $100 voucher you received (from the movie ticket promo) is one offer, and the Welcome Case is a different introductory deal we run for new customers.
It’s not meant to be misleading, just overlapping offers. If we can help with the best one for you, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team on 1300 898677 and we will be happy to assist.

I bought a box of wines something like 3 years ago and despite asking eleventy-seven times to get taken off their call list I get at least weekly calls from “wine club” wanting to tell me about a special deal. Every time I express frustration that I don’t want any more calls, the caller promises me that they’ve scratched me off the list. Years. It’s been years!!! It’s Friday today and I’ve had four calls from “wine club” this week already. Years!!!

We’d love to share the love with the winemaker too, do you recall which one it was?
Looks like a scam
I was so happy when I’ve got the discount, but a month later the charge me $40 without my consent. I cancelled the subscription that I didn’t even know about, and hope to bot be changed again, but I scared with all this comments saying that they are a big scam.

Hi Priscilla,
We apologise for any misunderstanding. It does sound like you may have registered as one of our
Becoming an Angel with us is not obligatory; however, it is the best way to buy from us as an ongoing customer. By the sounds of it, you ordered and signed up to be an Angel via one of our promotional Angel case offers, so apologies if this came as a shock to you and that you didn't receive any communication.
As an Angel, we offer discounted wines, free monthly bottles (when buying 12 or more bottles) and also discounted delivery. The Contribution of $40.00 is not a membership fee but will get added to your Naked Wines balance, adding up each month, with that balance being used towards your next purchase of wines before the difference (if there is any remaining) comes from the card on your account.
With this being said our Angel program is extremely flexible and you are welcome to cancel at any time, any of your money can be refunded directly back to you.
If you need help with cancelling still or need help with confirming you’ve been unsubscribed from our mailing list please feel free to contact our friendly customer happiness team on 1300 898 677 or via email at chat@nakedwines.com.au as we’re happy to help with both cases! Cheers

Subscriber charges trap hidden
No I did not agree to a monthly subscription to appear in my statement. If I want wine I’ll order it when I want. I’ve seen the complaints from people who’ve been caught out by this where they’ve had issues discontinuing, cancelling and are receiving pushy emails. So no thanks and I’ll go elsewhere.

Hi Mark, we really sorry this has felt unclear and frustrating. That’s definitely not the experience we want anyone to have.
We do have different offers that invite people to join as an Angel, which includes the monthly contribution.
That $40 isn’t a fee; it’s your credit to spend on wine, but if it’s not for you, that’s absolutely okay. We can stop the payments and get everything sorted quickly and without any hassle.
If you’re open to it, just send us a DM and we’ll take care of it straight away or our team can be contacted on 1300 898677 (Monday to Friday 9am-5pm) or chat@nakedwines.com.au

I’m not an idiot, but I swear I didn’t intend to sign up to a subscription model and thought I was making a one off purchase. Once I realised, I swear I worked through the process to cancel. Next month - more money taken out. I’ve cancelled again, going through the 7 or so clicks and confirmations to cancel. Really frustrating.

Hi Chandima, thanks for reaching out. It sounds like the order may have been placed through one of our introductory offers, which includes joining the Naked Wines Angel membership. The $50 isn’t a fee, it goes straight into your account as credit to spend on wine whenever you like.
That said, we completely understand if this wasn’t for you. If you’d prefer not to continue with the membership, we’re more than happy to help adjust or sort that out for you.
Sorry as well about the trouble getting through on the phones, please check our number is 1300 898677 and have agents ready, that’s definitely not the experience we want. If you can send us a private message with your details, we’ll get this sorted for you as quickly as possible.
Naked Wines, Simply the best way to purchase wines
Started buying our wines from Naked Wines in 2021 when we received a $100 voucher and haven't stopped. They have a real ethical place in looking after the growers & then you get to purchase at an excellent discount. Great wines or spirits, either full, low or no alchohol, to choose from, very fast delivery, excellent communication and if you don't like any wines they give you a prompt credit refund. What more could you ask for, fantastic service
