I was recommended "My Mobility "from my aunty who has had a stairlift fitted ftom your company, Mike Carroll was the guy who went through the process, he explained everything and what was available, the stairlift is for my elderly father who at present is still in hospital, but wants to come home, so to keep his independence, has agreed to a stairlift, the price was very good, and timescale to fit too,

Earlier this week we had a visit from Mike Carroll from My Mobility Uk. His knowledge of his subject was exceptional and was able to assess our needs for a stairlift in a very short while. His recommendation was accepted and we were very happy to place our order for a reconditioned stairlift with him.The stairlift is being installed next week.

Really pleased with everything to do with My Mobility UK's service! Quick to contact us and arrange a visit, a lovely kind salesman who explained everything very clearly and presented multiple options with clearly pros and cons for each one. We opted for a very reasonably priced refurbished stair lift. It was installed within a week and my parents are happily using it!

I had a wonderful experience from the start. Keith talked me through the options I could choose from, was very patient with me and explained everything thoroughly. I had to cancel my initial installation date as I ended up in hospital, the people at customer service were very understanding and when I came out of hospital were very helpful in arranging a new date. The technician who installed my stairlift was excellent and helpful. Even when I had a couple of teething problems my fault for not always understanding, the team were only a phone call away and were always helpful and reassuring. I am extremely happy.

The whole experience of fitting a stairlift was made effortless due to your wonderful staff, from the lady who came to measure up , the fitter and the aftercare service. The fitter gave Ian and myself a thorough trial on the lift, leaving us confident in how to use the equipment.

If I have one negative it was the man who came to measure gave me a price then when he left I looked at the invoice and it was £200 dearer. My fault should have checked at the time

UPDATE: I have had a conversation with Mitch today, and he was quite clear that the ball had been well and truly dropped with regards to our experience with them. I asked for an explanation in order to understand what had happened, and I am persuaded that, at least in part, the almost total lack of communication was due to a mix of circumstances outside of his control, which, in my opinion, he was right in prioritising.
I understand that there has also been a certain amount of restructuring put in place to provide better customer communication. We received a full refund into our bank account whilst I was on the phone. I wish Mitch and his company the best for the future. When they get it right, they seem to do a decent job. Accordingly, I have upped my rating. Original review follows.
Regrettably, we cannot recommend this company due to our recent experience of them.
We ordered a refurbished Stannah stairlift after being assured that we would receive a full refund right up until just before installation, should we cancel. Because of the nature of my wife’s disability, we asked and got a specific assurance from the salesman on a particular aspect of the operation of the stairlift.
Having given it some thought, we decided that we would rather have a brand new chairlift, and, because of that, my wife emailed My Mobility cancelling the order two days later. Because this happened over a weekend, my wife telephoned on the Monday to confirm the cancellation and was told someone would call her back. No one did.
I phoned two days later, and was told someone would call me back. I had a cordial conversation with Mitch, a director, when he called a short time later. He said they could supply a new Stannah lift and would I allow him 24 hours to get a quote together. I agreed as he said we could have a full refund if the quote was not acceptable.
In the meantime, we checked out the user manuals on the Stannah website and found out that the assurance we had been given regarding the use of the lift was wrong, and my wife would have difficulty operating the lift. I emailed to explain this and request a refund. We have not received any reply to the refund request.
Any subsequent attempt to talk to Mitch has resulted in being told he was either in a meeting or on the other line and would call back. He has not.
We have completely lost confidence in the company, and sent a formal letter of complaint to their registered offices in Bradford, requesting a reply within 14 days. No such reply has been forthcoming.
I am genuinely glad that they have been of help to so many of their clients, but in our case, I am afraid, they have been severely lacking. We still have not received a refund.
