Great estate agent in Notting Hill

They claim to be premium the service levels are rock bottom
I was personally an estate agent for 9 years and while admittedly it was a long time ago - there are basic principles that I feel an agent selling your property should do.
The key one is communication and when I was manager I would speak to all buyers and sellers in my pipeline once a week while the sale was ongoing (or make the negotiators/sales be in contact).
This is really the area in where this agent falls down. Moving house can be a truly tough and stressful time and the one thing that you would like when taking on an agent and committing a large sum of money to that they provide a service.
Now to be fair, Micheal Graham sold my house quickly but to be frank it was a really nice family home in a very sought after area and this was never going to be a "hard sell".
In October I came to realise that the last communication I had from the branch manager was the 15th July and it was a simple sentence of - Hi mate - I'll keep you updated.
Since then I have then had to speak to the conveyancers myself most of the way through this process (and to give some context on why I feel compelled to write this review) the conveyancers are being paid £10,000 less than the agent! As far as I can see they have done most of the work within this sales process.
I decided to write to the managing director and make him aware of the service levels I am receiving - note I am not asking for money off or a refund of money (as I know how hard it is to get this off an agent) but merely a cry to help me and also improve the work levels of the staff in the branch.
Three days later I still haven't had a reply from him however now the manager asked me to call him for an update!
I had to give a request to either email me back or ring me the next day as I didn't have time to take a call at the time he had contacted me. The reply was again a one liner to say that a completion date in November is being discussed.
And that I should feel free to call if I want a chat with him or the salesman of my property.
The response perceived by me once again was minimal and reactive rather than proactive.
I am just incredibly sad that this agent has been used and therefore I feel rather than waste anymore time trying to redeem and get a service - I best put the effort into helping others avoid my misfortune!
Ask the agent you intend to take on what is their process for not just selling the property but also how they will look after the sale as it goes through also.
I am sure that there are plenty of success stories for this agent but in my humble opinion their standards are far below the fee that they charge and for me if I had had maybe 3 - 5 calls over the the last 3 months then I wouldn't probably have any issue and this review wouldn't be online.
So if you are happy to have an agent take on your property, charge a lot of money and then sit back and wait for the sale to go through with the hard work being done by the conveyancers/solictors, without them doing any work (that I can see) or follow up with you as to where things are and what is outstanding etc then these guys are for you!
Personally I have learned a lesson hence why I will only use agents like Elevation and Thomas Connolly from now on.

Not great. Avoid if possible.
Not great.
At first, the service seemed promising, but the relentless pressure became unbearable—four calls and four emails a day at one point. Once payment was made, communication dropped entirely.
The team was rude and showed little regard for customer service, highlighting their need for training. They treated basic tasks as burdens and expected praise for doing their job.
Overall, it was a frustrating experience. Avoid if you can.

I got valuations from four estate…
I got valuations from four estate agents and immediately I was impressed at how professional Michael Graham in Princes Risborough was. Nothing was too much trouble. Negotiation was straightforward and the team was cohesive and all its members were aware of all the issues. They are a great team. Paul Copping started the ball rolling and Steve Tillyer managed a complex sale arrangement very well indeed. Nicola was a brilliant negotiator and pulled out every stop to get things moving. Cassie at reception kept things going well while colleagues were occupied.
Potential buyers must have been impressed. When one lives 150 miles away it was so reassuring to have such a professional team managing the sale active and keeping me up to date as the sale progressed. And they offered so much useful advice. And the coffee was great too.
if you want to sell your house go to Michael Graham in Princes Risborough. It is the best Estate Agent.

Michael Graham, MK as one of the worst firms in the UK
We recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with Michael Graham – Central Milton Keynes for the purchase of our new property, and it was nothing short of a nightmare. Unlike Chewton Rose, who efficiently handled the sale of our previous home, Michael Graham was disappointingly unprofessional and unresponsive throughout the entire process.
From the very beginning, Michael Graham's lack of proactivity was evident. Their communication was poor, and they failed to keep us updated on important developments. On the day of completion, the situation deteriorated further. Both the branch manager and another key team member were unreachable, leaving us in a lurch at a critical moment.
After the completion, we were left standing outside our new home with four vans, while Michael Graham was conspicuously absent including the previous owners. To add insult to injury, one of their representatives had the audacity to lecture us on patience instead of taking responsibility for the chaos.
Michael Graham's contribution to the process of handing over the keys was non-existent. We had to wait four excruciating days for the previous owners to move their belongings, causing significant inconvenience and stress. Our movers couldn’t put our stuff as per allocated rooms due to ex-owner belonging. Throughout this ordeal, Michael Graham remained offline and uncontactable, from the day before completion to weeks afterwards. Not once did we receive an apology for their abysmal service.
In summary, our experience with Michael Graham has been a complete disappointment and a source of immense frustration. Their unprofessionalism and lack of accountability have left us deeply dissatisfied. We would strongly advise against using Michael Graham for buying or selling your property. It is a shame and a disappointment to have encountered such poor service.
We will never recommend Michael Graham and would suggest looking elsewhere for reliable and professional estate agents. Do consider Chewton Rose – Central Milton Keynes, found them very professional and proactive.

A truly exceptional service from…
A truly exceptional service from Graham, Alex and Jayne at the Aylesbury office, my sale was a tricky one from the start, but I have to say the team at Micheal Graham made it all possible and absolutely stayed truly focused and professional throughout. The team managed the sale and purchase for me and I have to say they have been relentless in their focus to deliver customer satisfaction and positive results. Excellent communication and committed in making things happen. Don’t go anywhere else, use the team here, they are brilliant. 5 Stars from me 🌟 🌟🌟 🌟🌟

Poor Customer Service - Who needs communication...
Awful customer service!!! We took time off work and viewed a property, upon entering the property the young lady simply just said hello and have a look around that was all... didn't provide any information about the house or area. although sometimes it is nice to be left to look around, this felt like there was no interest from the estate agent at all and a real lack of care. When we did ask questions the responses were short and blunt. Upon expressing our interest for the house, she informed all offers had to be made by the end of the week and that it was best and final offers only...
We then called back the following day to make an offer to find out they had accepted an offer the day we viewed the property and we were not informed. We were also told that we would not of actually been able to make an offer in the first place as we hadn't yet sold our property, despite the fact we have a mortgage in principle for more than the amount that was not dependant on any equity or profit from our home. we had an initial call where our circumstances were discussed prior to viewing but we were not informed of this even after expressing that we would like to make and offer post viewing at the end of the call.
poor customer service, especially for houses that are nearly 3/4 of a millions pounds.

Unprofessional
Terrible communication, a can't be bothered attitude. Jaded approach, complete lack of enthusiasm made the whole experience very frustrating. They take 1.25% plus vat if successful and for that large sum of money put very little effort in. Cancelled our contract after 6 months. Could make a large list of things that were wrong or didn't happen but following their lead, can't be bothered.

These guys are the most amazing estate agent guys I’ve ever had to deal with, I would highly recommend when selling and buying a home. They made it such a stress free transaction, and it was so quick and pain free.Honesty is there policy and yes they where.

We cannot recommend Michael Graham in Princes Risborough highly enough.
What a team!!
Paul Copping Negotiator and Office Manager set the Sale up in the most professional way. We chose Michael Graham because of him and wanted him and only him to show potential buyers round.
That was until we met Tamsin Scott. A lovely genuine person who we put our trust in and who sold our house.
We thought they were all we needed but when the sale met some problems Steve Tillyer stepped up and saved the day.
Without doubt Michael Graham is simply the best Estate Agent.

I have heard Mike Graham on many occasions complaining about Government spending on benefits, that in a civilised country are there to help our fellow citizens, who need help. If Mike Graham is so against a social civilised system, then he should go and live in the dog eat dog USA.
Awful Service and communication!!!
We sent an enquiry to Michael graham in Towcester relating to a property in Greens Norton, Northants we were interested in viewing. After 2 days passing with zero contact I e-mailed them again and this time a member of their team 'condescended' to call back. he had no interest in arranging a viewing instead informing us that they had already had 'multiple viewings' on the property and various offers none of which had yet been accepted!! he also said that as a few of the viewers were in better positions than us to proceed it wasn't really worth our while viewing. So he didn't want us to view a property that had no accepted offers on it and we are selling a large home worth way more than the listing with no mortgage!! He asked no questions about our circumstances and I get the opinion MG see themselves as a bit up market who don't really have to try to hard with their exclusive clientele
Good at taking your money, woeful at looking after your interests
Regrettably I let a property “fully managed” through Michael Graham, paying the high fees believing their promises of looking after my interests better than their competitors.
They watched over the property as things went missing and were damaged, telling me everything was ok, some of the above being documented with photos, but not acted on whilst the tenant was in situ.
Once said tenant had left, all I was left with was the deposit and no constructive assistance from Michael Graham.
In the aftermath dealing with the state the property had been left in, I found them to be arrogant, inept and unprofessional
I for one would never again entertain them managing my property, id go elsewhere or do it myself, as I am now

Michael Graham Estate Agents Buckingham team recently helped us to sell our home. From the beginning Luke was professional and personable. The team were present at every viewing keeping us updated with feedback. Once we had an acceptable offer they showed great tenacity keeping in touch with buyers and solicitors, ensuring progress was being made. They were exceptional when it came to exchange, keeping everyone updated and drawing things to a close as quickly and painlessly as possible. We were really impressed, very grateful. This was the 3rd time we have sold a home over the years and by far the best experience. Thanks to all the Buckingham team, especially Luke and Gareth.
Underwhelming in the extreme
The communication throughout the transaction was infrequent, generally one way and very little in the way of information was provided. Most of the communication was made directly with the buyers and after being initially impressed withe the initial presentation we severely regret choosing Michael Graham as our experience was extremely disappointing. The marketing materials were good but other than that we struggle to understand what value they added to the whole transaction. We made all of the arrangements for the handover directly with the buyers and in the 4 weeks leading up to our move did not have any contact whatsoever with Michael Graham. The agent turned up (unannounced) for two minutes on handover put his hand out and said “keys” which just about summed up the lack of care and attention to detail we experienced every step of the way.
It seems complacency has well and truly set in. No follow up has ensued post sale let alone a “thank you for the business”. We regret choosing Michael Graham and will certainly not be recommending them to friends and family.
No chance of viewing a property
We have tried on three occasions to book viewings for two properties they are marketing on Right Move. Each time we have had our name and phone number taken, first time we were advised that their systems were down, the second and third time we were just advised someone would call us back. We advised that we had already left messages and no one had called us back, but this did not make any difference. It is no wonder their properties seem to be on the market for some time, no one wants you to view them! Hope vendors who use this agency are aware of this. Given up with this agency now and are now dealing with agencies that are more pro-active and want to sell properties. This message refers to the Towcester branch.
Good customer service
They were brill when we bought our house through them last year. They kept up updated & pushed for us to ‘complete’ as soon as possible. Anna Di Rosa was particularly good!

Such bad unprofessional, disorganised service.
From trying to book a viewing to placing an offer of which they refused to accept!!! Think this might even be illegal.
It was made so difficult I had to either go into the office for an interview or write to them stating all my circumstances.
Colleague was rude when I said can't you just put this forward.
Well vendor's need to know how difficult they are to buyers.

We have had an excellent service from Michael Graham Bedford. Toby has been our estate agent and has been so good with us. He has continually checked up to make sure everything is going to plan, he has kept us informed every step of the way. His attention to detail and knowledge is really good and he has been professional and pro active in working with the whole chain and very very helpful. Highly recommend.
