Unimpressed

I had two recent orders. The first one had to be refunded because it never arrived. The second, different, order was placed 11 days ago and hasn’t arrived yet so other than I am not impressed I have nothing to say.

I had some problems with some…

I had some problems with some alstromeras i ordered a pack of three. They did not arrive in the best condition. After contacting Marshalls and sending pictures as i tried my best with them. They were going to be a birthday present. My money was refunded for these items. Thank you.

Order never arrived

Order never arrived - they use evri as courier, who then lost my parcel.. not good communication with Marshalls whilst trying to track my parcel - no reply via email and several attempts with phone calls later I managed to get through. They Said the plants will be dead now as they’ve been lost which isn’t their fault but still. The plants are now out of stock so gave me a refund. Disappointing and very dissatisfied.

The lost sweet peas orders

Put an order in some time ago for sweet peas. Was despatched mid April but the courier (Evri) sent it back as the packaging was damaged. No one from
Marshall’s contacted me to say it would be delayed or that part of the order could not be fulfilled. Agreed to a slight change of sweet pea variety and waited again. Evri said they had the package and would be out for delivery soon. On the day of delivery got another email from Evri saying they could not deliver and would notify when out for delivery. Waited and waited. Tried to phone Marshall’s on Wednesday 6th - phone lines not Manned apparently. Emailed Evri who again said they could parcel was being returned to Marshalls because this one was also damaged. Either there is a problem with the packaging or the courier, either way the problem lies with Marshall’s!

Thank you for the response, however, I note with interest the significant number of unhappy customers this year who have placed orders and they never arrived, arrived badly damaged or took a significant time to arrive to the extent the plants were dead. I have a sweetcorn order I am expecting end of May / first week June, it will be interesting to see how that plays out! Something has changed at Marshall’s either the way the plants are packaged or the courier used I’m not sure which, but it needs to be addressed judging by the number of unhappy customers this year compared to other years

Deliver service terrible plants all out…

Deliver service terrible plants all out of pots. Lost 2 of my celery plants because of this. Same happened with previous order of cauliflowers despite box clearly saying fragile & keep this way up.

Marshalls for plug plants -not likely !

My plug plants arrived today after 6 days in transit. Dry ,yellow,rolling around the container,and unlikely to last they were sent on the Friday before the bank holiday weekend by some nitwit so an extra day languishing around in the holds of that constipated delivery service Evri. I knew this would happen as Evri were due to deliver yesterday but didn't so I contacted Marshalls yesterday by e-mail. No reply of course. Never again Marshalls.
Refund acknowledged and received but don't use Evri and don't dispatch plants on a Friday.

Asparagus crowns

I ordered this product on August 2025 with the full understanding that it would be delivered in the spring. It wasn't delivered until the end of April,ING past when I would have expected to put it in. Only 3 weeks in and only 1 out of 15 crowns have actually done anything. Poor service

My sweetcorn plants wrecked in post twice

My sweetcorn plants arrived in an unusable state both on the original order and then on the replacement order.
The replacement order contained plants in a tray that were so immature they hardly had a root sprouting from the seeds. Their tray was loose in a cardboard box so during transit the box had been tipped and plants plus compost fell out and most of plants snapped. The plants clearly were not ready for posting out and should not have been sent.
In both cases the packaging was not good enough.
