Not good results so we stopped
We used marketing.com for around 3 months. The people working on the project were very kind, but the ad account was super poorly managed, and ROAS dropped from 450% to 175% when we were running ads on our own. After paying their service fee of 1K per month + not being profitable, we decided to stop using them. After a few months of damage, ROAS is now creeping back up. I wish them the best, but it didnt work for us.
Non-existent service
After promising the moon and the stars, it took less than a month for the experience to unravel. It took them almost a full month after receiving their first monthly instalment of $1k to simply onboard the account - a process which should take no longer than a couple of days to a week at most.
In the second month, they simply dropped off the radar - no comms, no responses to emails. Avoid.

I am not ordinarily inclined to leave one star reviews, however this experience warrants reflection. As an Australian consumer preparing to launch a new venture domestically while simultaneously establishing a C Corporation in the United States, I had scheduled an appointment for 1:30 a.m. my time. Thirty minutes prior to the meeting, it was cancelled without discussion on the basis that the representative determined my business was not suitable.
What is concerning is that this conclusion appears to have been reached without a meaningful understanding of what my business actually facilitates. The current website is temporary and does not fully represent the scope, structure, or total addressable market of the venture. A brief preliminary call consisting of four or five targeted questions would have provided sufficient context to assess suitability in a professional and respectful manner.
The decision to cancel without conversation reflects, at best, a short sighted and inefficient evaluation process. If the volume of business allows for such dismissals without engagement, that is of course a strategic choice. However, from a commercial perspective, informed assessment typically precedes rejection.
Professional courtesy and due diligence are rarely inefficient investments.

I want to clarify a few things in your reply because they do not reflect my actual experience.
From my side, there was no conversation with William and there was no back-and-forth discussion about platform compatibility. I did not see the email you referenced at the time. What I saw was the meeting cancellation notification roughly 30 minutes before the scheduled call.
The call itself was scheduled late at night for me in Australia, and I had stayed up until 1:00 AM for that meeting. When the cancellation came through shortly before the call, that was the experience I was responding to in my review.
I did not have any conversation about my business, plans to move platforms, or anything else you mentioned. None of that occurred on my side so if that is what you have been told it is an inaccurate statement of facts. You also do not know what I do, the scale of the project I am building, or the projections we are working toward. Your platform charges start at $1,000 per month and we are projecting approximately 15,000 transactions per year, which is why I was evaluating whether your service could be a fit. My current situation has changed and I am planning on investing $300,000 into marketing for launch and ongoing marketing.
My review reflects exactly what happened from my perspective: a confirmed meeting was booked, I waited up for it, and it was cancelled shortly before it was meant to start. It was cancelled at 12:53 am and the meeting was 1:30 am. Not sure if you are looking at the Australian and American time difference but happy to show the screenshots and I do not appreciate the way your email is written to play me out to be dramatic or dishonest without you so much as finding out my side.
For someone to actually get the full version of facts you actually have to find out both sides of the story and then use all the information and work out the most informed pattern or decision based on all the information gathered. Thats the most appropriate way to handle these scenarios. Perhaps a call to your sales staff member to reconfirm the context may assist.
My point still stands: I understand you are likely trying to filter out time wasters, which is fair. However, unless your team has an actual call, even for five minutes, to ascertain the reality of the situation, how can anyone truly know what the scenario is? In many cases people also know others who require marketing services. A quick conversation can often lead to referrals. In my experience, a referral with a warm introduction goes much further than a cold one.

Excellent experience
We originally reached out to marketer.com regarding our Shopify store and William Habert got back to us. Although we discovered that our company was not the best fit for the services they offered, William gave us great advice and tips on growing our company and how using technology could help us. Never charged a dime and was so helpful. If our company does reach a point of wanting to use these kinds of services, we will have no hesitation whatsoever to go with Marketer. They seem extremely knowledgeable and forthright about the services they provide and what customers can expect. We tried a similar company last year. From our first encounter with this other company they were pressuring us to sign up and start paying and after almost a year with them… Our company was actually in worse shape than when we started, and of course, there were no refunds. William and Marketer were a breath of fresh air. They were honest about whether or not they could help us and generous in being willing to look at our company and our Shopify store and give some great tips that we are using.

Over the last 8 years I have worked with a lot of marketing agencies, promises are made and soon you realize they don’t know what they’re doing. I have found the ai piece of Marketer to be quite excellent. It still needs a human touch, and my account manager Martin has done an excellent job with understanding the needs of my company beyond the ai piece. I give Martin 5 stars for that.

AI Partner enhancing Ads Performance

Great bells and whistles.... however, under the hood it's another story entirely
We've never wasted so much time and money on something so commercially dysfunctional and worthless before.
We were drawn to Marketer through their META ads and their statements about what they could do for us. We already had Meta ROAS of 4:1 and Google Shopping ROAS of 10:1. Marketer were adamant they could scale our advertising while maintaining our ROAS.
We signed up for their pro package (currently valued at $1500 per month). There were endless issues getting started with the 2-month trial we paid for. We went through a total of 4 account managers over the course of as many months, each new one needing new meetings to get going and set up and to share all the plans they had for us.
Finally, the 4th account manager got going with new campaigns, each one with a spend of £50 a day (and left running no matter what). It gradually became very apparent just how young and incompetent the team behind Marketer actually was. Their underperforming campaigns, combined with the complete mismanagement of our accounts in the preceding months, proved extremely costly for us.
We ended our trial with Martker last week, with our META ads running at a 0.9 ROAS, and our Google Shopping ROAS had dropped to 4:1
As other reviewers have said, Marketer are great at taking your money.... but when it comes to delivering, it was appalling. It was even clear to our account manager that Marketer's negligence and bad management were responsible for damaging our business. No one else higher up in Marketer was willing to even acknowledge it, let alone apologise!
Be careful with these guys... great bells and whistles.... under the hood, another story entirely

The reply from Marketer on 4th January 2025, claiming they have no record of us, is yet another testament to either the extent of their dishonesty or their complete dysfunction in what they offer.
Since writing this review, we were contacted multiple times by Marketer to have yet another meeting with the incentive of a refund, as they wanted us to revise this review.
@Tarik, just in case you really are that disorganised and disconnected from the company you founded, here are a couple of invoice numbers for you to look up on your system:

Working with your company caused us to incur severe losses. Your team destroyed the Google and Meta campaigns we had already established (before coming to Marketer), which your company assured us they could scale, while retaining our ROAS.
