No idea how much u are paying until you get your receipt.
Receipt retrieval system is so unreliable i have never been able to download them, always have to call customer services.
M6 toll should be run by someone else, someone competent!

The toll road is a pleasure to drive along, and the payment Plaza is easy to use. I have been very impressed by the quick response and action taken when my car was misclassed (for the first time ever) recently.

Ridiculously expensive, the price has rocketed in the past few years. As for the baloney about ANPR for ‘d”motorists benefit’ when has ANPR benefit motorists? Never. They want to get rid of the toll booths and make you pay on line with fines etc. probably outsourced. Will the cost come down after it is installed? More chance of me being the next king. Lining their own pockets

Toll booths are unmanned so unless you can reach the payment pad with a card or phone you're stuck. No way of paying and no one to help.
There are many cars lower than mine so can't be the only one who has problems. The height of payment pads seams to be designed for large vehicles.

Online receipts never work. Receipts not issued as you pay, you have to input your details on their website, registration, day of travel etc. The transaction is never found so no receipt available. The system is unfit for purpose and receipts should be issued without any delay.

Took the exit by mistake when letting an emergency vehicle through. Then had to pay approx £10, then I had to loop back round and pay another £10.
Essentially I paid £20 to add 30 mins to my journey when it was all a mistake!! I don’t even want to mention how much I already pay for road tax.
Complete scam. Avoid this road at all costs.

Thanks, but I have been in contact with your customer service team and closed the account... quite a few responses of telling me what I already knew (how to get reciepts as pay as go customer) but still missing my reciepts for journeys made on the account.
Oh also...a pitiful £1.00 'gesture of goodwill' added to the account when the gate didnt open...spent more than that in wasted time trying to sort it all out.
I will still use the road when needed but as pay as go, as the £1 less for the account journeys is really not worth the hassle. **
Nothing is a 'breeze' when setting up the account.
Firstly it doesnt let you set one up if you drove on the road in the last 48 hours... so you wait 48 hours to finalise the account.
To then 2 hours later have recieved an email to say to wait a minimum of 1 hour to drive on the road for it to work... not helpful when you left 30 mins after setting up the account and so did not see the email until got to destination.
Then they charge the full amount to your card so now in less than an hour they have taken £40.50. (£30 minimum fee on account is a rip off)
Then finally when it does work, receipts are not available for journeys if you have an account!!
Only pay as go customers can get a receipt!
Absolutely not a breeze and the worst account I have ever had the misfortune of coming across!
Then get home and yet another £30 was taken as it dropped lower than £15 on the account.
AVOID ACCOUNTS AT ALL COSTS!!

We travelled both north and south on the M6 toll road. My wife has PIP at the higher rate for mobility and we therefore applied for exemption which they granted within a few days. Travelling on the M6 toll road is a pleasure unlike driving on the M6 over the same distance. It is well worth the expense as the traffic is so limited.

I have been a user of the M6 toll since 2004 and cannot fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at the end of the phone.
Today I had to update my payment card and it was great to speak to a real person rather than a bot. Steve Nichols was excellent, patient and understanding.

I telephoned today about moving from a tag to an ANPR account, and it was handled swiftly and implemented almost immediately. Great customer service!

Female toilets were excessively smelly with a strong scent of urine. Area around outside seating littered with rubbish.

I ran out of fuel and charge on the M6 toll and I was rescued by the team in no time, nice one guys and I hope everyone can enjoy good service like I did l.

Used the toll this week and was shocked to find the cost was £10.50. An absolute rip off. We all pay a lot already in road tax and fuel tax. What is this country coming to? I accept that it needs to be chargeable or everyone would use it, but a charge of say £6 each way would be fairer. £21 for a return journey is just too much.

Liked the road, however very expensive at £10.50. How do you get to be the best motorway in Britain?
Earlier this month I travelled on toll roads in northern France, and for over 150kms (over 90 miles) ie the cost only just over €13 - the roads are just as good as the m6 toll, so why so expensive.

This bunch must have the worst review rating on the planet. My journey consited of using the M6 toll northbound using my company credit card with the ard reader no problem. Same day same card southbound used my card and the reader wouldnt take my payment. Traffic buildin gup behind me, tried my personal card and still no payment taken. Spoke remotley and asked what now happens and they asked for my email address which would have a link where I could pay. Be warned as this request is just lip service as some weeks later I recevied a request from Marston Recovery who insisted they were just debt collection. Moral of the story just sit there hold up traffic.
