Fantastic staff

Fantastic staff, dealt with my query promptly, no issues just got on with task. I had changed my car half way through subscription but m6 toll took details of new registration and changed my account within a day of me reporting change. Excellent quick service I felt, as always. M6 toll always deal with me politely, quickly and customer service is great.

The AI phone lady was taking me all over the place. What should’ve been a two-minute exercise took half an hour. I eventually got to speak to someone who took the £9 payment

£20 for a one-way trip in a standard VW…

£20 for a one-way trip in a standard VW Caravelle. Complaint went nowhere, ridiculous- same price as an HGV. Absolute crooks.

Check what is charged for your journey

Charged more than twice the actual price for the journey undertaken verified with the M6 Toll journey checker. The downloadable invoice showed the correct value and that the vehicle classification was accurate, however the value deducted from the payment card was incorrect. Customer service responded promptly blaming an inaccurate classification but when challenged with the facts above changed their tune blaming a lane synchronisation issue. I'm awaiting a refund for the difference which has allegedly been raised. In summary, the main selling point of the toll road at saving time on your journey, is in this case more that offset by the hassle of pursuing a principle.

I am delighted you have reimbursed me my two charges that were charged for the incorrect day. Website was easy to use but just wondered how I could be charged when I was at home far from the excellent Toll Road on Saturday???

Very good information on web. My satnav always avoids the M6toll even though I tell it not to. So I can set it to stop at M6Toll . Problem solved

11£ for roadworks at midnight!!

I paid 11£ at the toll (northbound) and there were roadworks shortly after resulting, in 45min stopped in traffic (due to 4 lanes reduced to 1), at midnight!!
And when I complained the reply was that there was not thing on the M6 toll and that I must be referring to the motorway but that’s not true. Costumer service was very abrupt and agressive.

Total rip off

Just realised the fee for a T6.1 transporter with rear windows (class 2) is £19.50 per crossing! Used to be around £4.50 until recently, 350% increase is daylight robbery and i’ll be avoiding the m6 toll in future unless the fee is reversed and set inline with national inflation.

I claim the fee back as a business expense but still cant stand the cheek of such an ridiculous hike miles above inflation rates.

Id rather leave early or sit in traffic than be ripped off.

Rip off

Rip off. Classed my vehicle in a much higher class contradicting their own guidance. £20 to save yourself 10 minutes is not good value in my opinion

Applying for my exemption pass

I had to reapply for my exemption pass today. I had a slight issue but their customer service was absolutely excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
They always get back to you so quickly. Once I had submitted my application, I had an email back in less than 1/2 hour saying it had all been done. You can’t get better than that!

A great service at the M6 toll bridges

We have travelled down South numerous times to visit our son his wife and our grandkids .
We always travel on the M6 Toll bridge its much quicker and easy to use the toll .
The customer service guys are so helpful if you need assistance and they can be reached so easily it is so nice to know they can be contacted if assistance is required . The cost of the yearly disabled toll pass has remained at £7 for as long as we have used it which is a great saving and help . We would fully understand and accept if that yearly cost was to increase as it does save us a lot of money with the amount of journeys to Tamworth that we make in the year

Scamming people with poor signage

Poor signage said to take the next turn to AVOID the toll, but takes you directly to the poxy toll barrier! Specifically the road signage say to come off before T3 to avoid it. We turned off as instructed and it goes directly to a toll barrier and now we're liable for a £9.10 charge! All we did on the M6 toll was find our way back OFF the M6 toll. They say that they're not responsible for the signage and that it's down to the highways dept. Well, I'm challenging it. Highways can pay the charge as far as I'm concerned! Had we have been actually aiming for the m6 toll we would have registered for a free disabled pass in advance as we're driving a registered disabled vehicle. They won't even give us a back dated pass. Shameful.

In response to the reply- I have been in discussion with customer services already and you've stopped replying. Your reply is obviously just to look outwardly like you're doing the right thing. A proper racket !

Absolute rip off

Absolute rip off. M42 had diversions so went A50, A38 from Nottingham to M6. Sat navigation put me on the M6 toll and I was on there for 4 miles and the cost £11.60. So its £11.60 for the whole 27 miles but if you join from one of the slips further up its the same price! Why are there no zones. Another example of rip off Britain. Bloody joke.

However, please note that M6toll does indeed have zones and each trip is calculated dependent on where you enter and exit the road. If you were to enter at T4 via the A38 Southbound and exit at T3, the price for a Class 2 car is £6.70 (or £4 with a breeze account). If you exit at T2 or M42/M6(S), the price is £9.10 (Or £8 with a breeze account).

It is possible that a temporary holding amount is pending on your account and the correct amount will be charged later. The pending hold will then drop off.

Awful

Far too expensive. Takes ages to get a receipt for expenses, why can't you get one from the payment booth like everywhere else.

Regarding receipts, we are a very unique road in that we only charge you for the journey you make. When you leave the road, your toll price takes up to a few hours to generate - unfortunately our systems can't calculate it instantly, and therefore it can take up to 48 hours to create a receipt.
