9 seater van classified as a commercial van, charged £19 each way. Previously received a credit after sending photos of measurements however this time Ruth has decided I will not receive a refund.

I was recently 'forced' onto the M6 Toll by a seemingly redundant lane change sign and it cost me £16.50 - I was in the left lane to turn off the M42 and moved one lane to the right as indicated, with several other vehicles. My space was immediately taken by a large truck, blocking my exit. I found myself on the M6 and had to pay to get off at the next exit.
I wrote to explain, quite expected them to be reasonable. They were not. Worse, because I was driving a window van, it was treated as a commercial vehicle - a charge of £16.50

Missed my turning onto M42
Had to continue on the m6 toll - paid £9
Then came back to rejoin M42 - paid another £9.... total journey less than 5 miles
My mistake - very painful penalty

Broke down today on the M6toll first ever time this has happened and was very scared. Mick and Daz were amazing and so helpful. They made us feel so much better arranged a recovery vehicle for us and ensured we arrived home safely.

As a woman travelling alone it is very unsafe. There are no staff present. In order to speak to someone the assistance button is so high you need to get out of your car which is unsafe. Please note I am 175cm. Interestingly enough the payment portal is conveniently located so can be easily tapped without having to leave your car.
Thank you for your reply. It is reassuring to know that if I did have to leave my car and was attacked someone would be able to watch it all unfold without being able to do anything.

I had to ring customer services this morning as my exemption pass had expired. Spoke to a lovely lady called Ruth who was very patient and kind whilst helping me navigate how to renew and make payment.

Wrongly charged twice in 4 days. Their tech saw my basic ford fiesta as something much bigger and charged £16.20. A couple of days later I was charged £11.40 for the same vehicle, same distance. I don't usually check but since I now use my phone it shows what's been paid and is easier.
They claim they will refund within 10 days. Why does it take so long? They then ask you to review, so here you are.

Overcharged, charged £19.20 for a car 1 way no trailer ect ect, customer service told me sometimes this car class 2 sometimes class 4 car and basically kn?b off charges stand, I have paid about 80 pence less than an artic lorry, im fuming I will never use this road again what a joke. Not happy
Spoke 2 customer service twice they say they relay on a laser and there view is different prices same car is fine !! ITS NOT !!
Driving towards toll there was nothing to say I would be charged double for the 4 seater car i drive

I regularly use the M6 for work journeys and recently by my own mistake got into the wrong lane leaving the services and ended up going in the wrong direction which ended up in an additional charge to turn around. Ruth at customer services got my issue resolved and refunded the charge as a gesture of goodwill all within 30minutes of reporting this to them. Their customer service is excellent.

I am updating my previous review regarding a navigation error that led me onto the M6 Toll. Initially, I was frustrated by what seemed like a rigid "computer says no" response to a simple mistake at Norton Canes.
However, after submitting a formal complaint explaining the situation, the M6 Toll customer service team reached out and provided a goodwill refund. While the initial automated experience was frustrating, I’m pleased to see that they do actually employ staff who use common sense and empathy. I appreciate them taking the time to review my specific case and rectifying the charge. It’s rare to see this kind of flexibility from a major infrastructure operator, so credit where it's due.

I can see that there are many negative reviews about pricing but I just wanted to say that for me the M6 toll is a godsend as I regularly travel from the Midlands to down south and I LOVE it. I used to get stressed stuck in all the traffic but now I can happily travel in Friday rush hour and pre pay so just breeze through the barriers. For practically the price of a London coffee, you have made my life so much easier 😀 Thank you for building it!
